Honestly one of the best answers that contain wuthering and grnshin, I have ever heard. Many people call wuthering the genshin killer and all but honestly, genshin set the mile stone of how a game like that should be. Genshin won't die and I won't be leaving it just for another game, because I want to see this masterpiece of a game to the end and will devote myself to it

You do know the only reason Genshin made it to the top was because it was the first of its kind right? That’s why it “set” the way for gacha, open-world RPGS. The pandemic of course boosted it to the moon and back as well.
But to claim this game *is* good??? Nah, you’re highly mistaken. The game *could* be good, which is why you agreed with the main comment in the first place, who quite literally stated that Genshin having competition with WuWa was the thing they needed to actually start making changes, because they don’t care about anyone, including you and me, they only care about numbers. They never had a reason to change because this community is so delusional thinking their ‘amazing’ game is so perfect that the devs were able to get away with releasing 4 dead patches in a row, and that says a lot.

It has a great storyline, consistent updates, content and bugfixes, relatively balanced content and it provides many features for people who can't farm all day as well.. It's made for a great amount of people and does its job well...If you are one of those who cry about the fact that star rail provides 10 pulls every update, maybe think about why they can do that... Genshin has 10 times the amount of exploration options and rewards... The banner system is good and fair and is also being updated on comfort of the users, the rewards are fair and although you have many whaling options, it's not p2w...You're clearly far too easily influenced by negative criticism that haters throw around without knowing better

I have zero intention of playing WW, but if it leads to improvements here, I hope that game makes a killing. Genshin is in desperate need of competition.
You should keep an eye on WW, even if you don't intend on playing it soon. That game should have a longer tail than Genshin, though I have heard rumors that Genshin Impact will have a direct sequel a few years down the road.
I mean, to be fair, Genshin's style of gameplay either would force them to constantly optimize their data or eventually phase out mobile.
The real reason is so the players can be more immersed and actually feel the heat of the pyro archon

Like I just wish ppl would think a bit more critically instead of jumping the “hoyo is scared” bandwagon. When ToF was near its release it was the same thing there, the very same ppl were saying “hoyo is scared of ToF” or “Genshin is scared of ToF” but soon after it’s release they kept their traps shut because they realized how wrong they were and most of all how stupid they sounded.

It’s def not because of competition, they’ve probably been planning this out for a while. They’ve been adding in new visual QOL for a while now between FSR, the lighting techniques in early 4.X and 4.4 and the character model resolution optimisation they applied in 4.4 so this is probably their next step with that.

I’ve already lost so many of my genshin friends and my irl friends also stopped playing genshin because they played on mobile phones. I personally have only been surviving this far on my iPad but it sucks that so many people are leaving the game because they can’t handle the new updates. Genshin really needs to change things. I miss the old days in mondstady liyue and Inazuma when all my friends could play together.

There's quite a lot of variety in character design, just not in character animations. They only have three or four base models for playable characters, and you can tell by the way they run.
People are saying is because of WuWa, but part of me feel like this is just coincidence.

I really don't see this happening. I was a new player in 4.0, and I've spent a small fortune on Genshin. The sheer amount of content in the game can be attractive to a new player.
I used to have Genshin on my iPad when the game first came out but when I realized it was visually and mechanically better on the console and pc I deleted my game on mobile and switched to my PlayStation. I didn’t have any special characters or was far into the story so it worked out starting over on the console.

I am for all improvements and stuff, I know that they can't do more than what's possible for older devices, but it still sucks. I doubt they will phase out the PS4 entirely, though it is more than likely the rumored Genshin sequel won't support older hardware. That is still years away, however.

Couldn't they just make it where you can delete chunks of the map and let you redownload them if you want to return to it like if you already explored the chasm or specific Inuzuma islands. You can just delete them. Domains can also at least be accessible through the adventure book too.

They are NOT adding end game in 4.7. Fantasy Realm is NOT an end game, it only pretends to be. It's only marketing-focused content. Even more fixated on this than Abyss and events. We are not getting real test or playground for all characters and teams and clearly Hoyo doesn't want this and they are not even trying to make a game system that makes sense as a whole. This game is doomed.

My phone is capable enough to play the game at 1080p Maxed, but thanks to their ignorance we still are playing at sub 720p or 840p. The only thing I want is adding an option to increase resolution to 1080p, 1440p, let us decide what to pick. Another quark is, draw distance, give me a damn option to increase the draw distance.

On release i played with stable 60 fps on med graphics on my phone. They screwed it up around 1.2, and since then it is barely playable on lowest with 30 fps. Similar thing on my laptop - 60 fps on med around Inazuma patch, 30 fps on lowest now. On my PC with 2060s and Ryzen3700x, after 4.0 game became stuttery and has drops below 60 fps (while it has 50% GPU and 30% CPU usage), had to decrease "Enviromental detail" from "highest" to "high" (and it is still laggy). I'l be honest - i'll uninstall the game the moment i can't play Genshin on high settings with 60 fps anymore. Instead of "improving" graphics they should start doing damn optimization.

@@Eleganttf2 Nope? There are no background processes, and i already wrote that CPU usage is below 30% on average. Render scale always was on 1.0. It is something with engine and how game renders objects, as the main culprit of lags is "enviromental details" option.

As long that i can still manually adjust to whatever graphics i want im totally fine with it BUT! if it forces me to just stay low and cant go up anymore im so quitting. I play on high graphics just fine sure it heats up sometimes but at least its playable

Honestly for alot of mobile players out there if you run on a low end phone I would strongly recommend you guys to start saving up some cash each month and buying something like the oneplus 11r, IQOO neo 7 pro or phones with snapdragon 8 gen 1 or above, if you do your saving right and wait for a amazon sale or something you can get these things for extremely cheap.

@@aryangupta10csn56 Literally 99% of the other gachas companies and oh God if we look at America it makes you want to quit playing with all the soulless live service games and sometimes even single players with such monetization sysyem that makes you look at Genshin' s gacha shop and say "Oh, that's actually fair.", at least despite the cold love for money of the higher ups I can still see some passion in the creative team here. This is not to defend Hoyoverse from its own demerits in the slightest, but trust me if I say that they are fucking tame compared to others in the field. Still, if Wuthering Waves is what will give them a wake up, I will be more than happy: people playing it will experience what looks a truly valid and solid alternative, and maybe I will get some juicy improvements on Genshin. Everyone wins.

Let me tell you that as someone who has to experience using pyro element while playing genshin impact on a phone, I’m really good at controlling the temperature but sometimes my phone sounds like it’s about to have an elemental reaction
