I always mark out the aircell at day 18 when I candle aswell as if I need to help a chick when their stuck, I know where I can pierce the shell without touching any blood vessels 🥰
Thank you for the video. I have a janoel 24. I have watched loads of video's regarding incubation. It is nice to see someone from the UK with their thoughts as our humidity is different to other countries. I saw your supermarket egg vlog and tried the same but to no avail. I did however manage to hatch a guinea fowl egg (out of 6) from a local market and It was exactly on day 28. I was just wondering if you sell fertile eggs as I would love to hatch my own. Once again thank you for a great video. P.S. Guinea fowl is doing fine and he is now 2 years old.
Hi, Thanks for the comment and watching the video. I don't currently sell hatching eggs. Mainly because I need to split the flock, and my eggs are hybrid, rather than pure breed. I will be selling them one day.
You should do a egg giveaway to your uk viewers, like a competition or something. We had a disaster with our incubator,my son knocked it off the desk breaking all the eggs aswell as the incubator. New incubator now but no eggs so I'd definitely enter.
Great idea, and I have been considering doing so. However, I haven't had great hatch rates so far this year. Plus most of my birds would be hybrid. We've only just split them up into breeds. If you want me to post you 6 eggs, drop me a message on the Facebook page.
The humidity thing baffles me a bit. And no-one explains why we need humidity. I have learned that humidity in the last few days must be high to make sure the egg shell does not dry out and harden. But I am pretty sure there are birds that successfully hatch chicks here in the Kalahari dessert, the Antarctica, and the Knysna forest. There is no way that birds can control the humidity in these different conditions.

Another great video. Here's hoping the humidity in ireland is near enough to the same as the UK.
I would think it is

How much humidity do you need for the ideal roast potatoes?
LOL, very good, and I have no idea :)
how much water should i add... just kidding XD good vid dude
LOADS!!! Have them swimming in it :) :) :)
@@AnnoyDad hahahah 🤣🤣🤣
Why are you putting a glass in the incubator when its base holds water? That might be why your eggs aren't developing properly.
I tried a dry hatch but my humidity drops down to the 20's. so i have to add water to get up to 30-40
Thanks for the effort
Where can I check the humidity??
I started to put my chicken eggs to incubate it’s 3 day now my humidity is 57-60 it’s bad for the eggs
Great video
Thank You :)

Do you always do dry incubation for the first 18 days?
Yes. Will only add water if in a very hot and dry period.
