On Thursdays they do their pastrami which is incredible w their mustard based sauce & Friday they do beef ribs which are the best bbq anything I've ever had anywhere!
Little Miss BBQ is top notch. It is around the corner from my office, so so can usually duck in around 1:30 for a short line and take my chances with what’s left. It’s a shame you didn’t get the turkey which is the best I’ve ever tasted…unbelievable moist. You are right about the grits too; I get grits and grits for my two sides.
Love this video Brooke! Loved the conversation with...the owner? Great tips right from the source. So glad you got the brisket! I actually cheered out loud even though I already knew you got it from the beginning highlight. 😂 Hope I get to try this place someday!
Thank you SO MUCH Nicole! He wasn't the owner but definitely a long time amazing employee!! Hahaha that fatty brisket changed my life! so good- I hope that you get to go someday too!
thanks for this one,i subbed after watching the Franklin video last night.Franklin has such a aura around it,besides how he has inspired so many to start their own places which are now doing well, including a place here in SoCal it just draws people from all places and walks.i really enjoyed some videos from the Latino perspective, first Guga Foods posted his video in English but i also watched La Capital's video in Spanish, and there were a couple other guys that went with Guga including a UA-camr from Chile. It is great how BBQ just has this effect on people.i know,i started out here about 20 years ago,and i am still growing and learning.Little Miss is also on my bucket list after a Mark Wiens video, cant wait to try that spot too.If you guys ever do a L.A. or SoCal BBQ roadtrip hit me up for suggestions.Hope you and your fam are well, junior kept eyeing some of that BBQ and even the sauce!
Hi there! Thanks so much for the incredibly thoughtful comment. I agree- Aaron Franklin has inspired a lot of people around the country and I love that barbecue is becoming more of a thing all around the country, not just in the south! I appreciate the offer for LA/SoCal BBQ. We will let you know when that happens!
I’m so happy to see you letting little man try it. You ever watch someone eat and not let their baby try any? I love BBQ and I’m going to visiting my friend in Phoenix. Little Miss BBQ is on the list. Gotta go early on Friday note to self. Thank you.
Me and my wife love your channel as we got a lot of good tips and spots because of your Seattle video thank you again by the way. Out of curiosity yes this BBQ place looks good and all but do you have any other recommendations for Phoenix? We are going there in 2 weeks and want to be prepared for any good food places
Nice report! I made a flying visit through Phoenix over Easter and Little Miss BBQ was the top of my places to eat at (thanks to Mark Wiens). I went to the newer place in Sunnyslope, but had the same experience as you. Very friendly queue (line!) and water and sausage to keep us going. The staff (including the owner, Scott, and the amazing Troy!) were incredibly welcoming to a Brit! I was there at the weekend, so beef rib was on the menu, but not pastrami. I had something of everything too, but only a couple of sides and no dessert. For me, the stars were the beef ribs and brisket, then the pork ribs and sausage. The only thing which seemed average was the pulled pork. Having said that, I'm incredibly inexperienced with good BBQ. My next plan is to go to central Texas and do a BBQ tour! I've just watched you Pizzeria Bianco video as well - they were second on my list, but flight cancellations and delays meant that I had less than a day in Phoenix and I couldn't get there!
Peter Hastings hi Peter- thanks so much for watching and for the thoughtful comments! That’s good to hear that your experience at Sunnyslooe was good- I might go there next time I’m in Phoenix to check it out. They do such a great job making the whole experience positive. And as much as I love pastrami I would have much rather tried the beef rib!! A good beef rib is hard to beat. Pizzeria Bianco next time too!
@@Femalefoodie I completely understand why y'all, as out-of-towners, would have gone to the original location. But those local fools standing ahead of you have no excuse....the Sunnyslope location is open at 11 am every weekday and There. Is. No. Wait. ...... 15 minutes MAX. And I've never not been able to get that delicious point brisket at Sunnyslope, whereas I was NEVER able to get it at the original. By the time you uploaded this video the second location had been open for 9 months. I have absolutely no idea why any Phoenician would still wait in a line this long knowing about the second location.
oh and go Utes.....too bad the BBQ game in SLC is so bad; R&R with their Subway-style warming trays and Pat's serving cremated beef bits that are literally 'burnt ends'
You got lucky. I've been there on a Saturday and waited in 90 degree heat for almost two hours and all they had were sides left by the time I got in the building.
@@steviealvaalbany2730 well I live near Vail,AZ and that's two hours away with perfect traffic and I-10 on a Saturday can be hit or miss to try and get up there early with how bad people drive in this State.
I hear of Little Miss BBQ from Mark Wiens and came back to watch it again
BBQ people are always so friendly and there’s always a conversation about the food when BBQ people are together. Lol! The grits looked amazing!!!
AGREED!!! BBQ people really are the best people. And I wish I could virtually send you some of the grits. SO GOOD. Thanks for watching Naomi!
Loved the video!! I found your channel from the Franklin bbq video, and I'm glad I did!! Great job!
Thank you so much for watching! :)

Was it expensive for all that? Looks so good.
It was but I took a LOT of leftovers home and I wanted to try everything. Just checked my bill total and it was $82.80.
Did you eat all that by yourself? that is amazing.
No we probably only ate a 1/5 or 16th of it at the restaurant and took it home to my husband and for leftovers!

Brooke, your thyroid gland looks a bit enlarged. Should go to your GP to have it checked!
