I always enjoy seeing many cultures sharing their love for food, and for 🇺🇸 to share their love for BBQ to 🇬🇧 is a Proud Moment indeed. Hope our friends from across the Atlantic enjoyed this special treat.
The class was great and now I know what good BBQ tastes like I know how much more I have to learn! Bovril on buttered white toast is great, just need to get a thin covering.
Bovril is awesome. On toast or adding it to gravy, I can foresee in the future this product will be obsolete unfortunately. I live in Thailand and to purchase this is very expensive. Import costs obviously for them 😡
I'm a South African who lived in the UK for 12 years. I BRAAIed (South African BBQ) many times and my English friends always liked their sausage burnt rather than perfectly cooked. I think these lads are starting to put BBQ cuisine on the map in the UK.
It's lovely that you are here in the UK! - We Brits have all grown up with burnt sausages! - Hopefully, more people will try and cook Texas-style BBQ here in England. - Keep up the great work :-)
Fantastic! I was doing a lot of travel/work between US and UK pre-pandemic and was always disappointed with UK interpretation of US-styled BBQ...it was like, "Toss some sauce on some meat and caramelize it over a flame...maybe...so long as it doesn't burn." Seeing Dave and his proper techniques and the 'blokes' signing up/selling out rapidly gives me hope! Good, simple technique, good basic (and few) ingredients including decent wood always works! Yay for bringing that knowledge to the UK!
Banbury, your not to far from RAF Upper Heyford where I was stationed from 1980 to 1983 as a young Texas born and bread USAF airman . Retired in 2019. Enjoy watching you, Matt Pittman & Jeremy Yoder.
Would love more UK bbq. Guess I just haven't searched the UA-cam enough. I will say, please make sure they heat up tortillas before eating. K thanks. Excellent content🤙🤙🤙
And by heating up...do not steam or microwave tortillas FF sake! Get them down on a hot surface (comal, griddle, grate, flat top, whatever) and get some brown on them. That's advice coming directly from all south Texas abuelas.
Great group and super cool video. I was stoked to see a Santa Maria grill in use out there. Is BBQ taking off in the UK or is it more of a low key thing?
I'm catering an event on Monday. I am so going to smoke then deep fry some beef cheeks. The crunchy bark looked amazing! I may do the same with some pork belly burnt ends in lard.
I shudder to think how much it cost for him to get that amazing and proper pit shipped to the UK. A friend moved to the UK from Texas a few years back. He had to leave his pit (which was half the size) here because the cost of moving it was more than shipping his car over.
@@RubysSmokehouseUK Cool to hear someone builds a proper pit on that side of the pond. Still, probably not inexpensive, but well worth it if you can get it.
Haha, great class. Could you give me a recommendation on what smoker to buy? I'm leaning towards the Campchef Woodwind Pro or a Masterbuild gravity fed. But what I actually want is a more automated offset with a smoke collector that uses real wood instead of pellets and one that can really grill on the firebox without swapping inserts. Do you have a recommendation what I could look out for?
Great day and the combination of Chud and Dave were like a double act. The Brisket was perfect and the sausages, well, now I’m making sausage- thanks for more time away from the wife😵💫😵💫
I enjoyed watching this one. Nice to see our cousins across the pond enjoy BBQ as much as we do!

Thanks for the videos man. My smoker never stops because I’m trying most of your recipes. You’re my favorite channel.
Smashing success! Love to see you spreading the love and skill craft of bbq.

Awesome video, great to see Chuds in the uk! Out of interest, where were the briskets from and were they the uk grass fed briskets?

It was a really good course!

Meats matters are knocking the best beef out in the country!
If you don’t know , get to know!🔥

Try smoking some ribs and then flash deep frying them à la Home Team BBQ...don't forget the Alabama white sauce and Death relish tho
I have done beef cheeks a few times now. Four hours oak-smoked, four hours in the confit at 275F. Blow peoples minds every time!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Love the vid but need to know how the hell did Dave get that 300 gal pit in his backyard!
Spreading the good word of smoked meats!
The fun continues!🤣🤣👍
Good to see you in the UK. Happy to fire up the Q if you guys are passing by Kidderminster :)

Man, I used to love near Banbury. Might have to do this next time I'm in the UK.

Loved this video Dave is a top guy gutted I couldn’t make the class !! Next time .

Classic. Well done mate.
Uncut bread with butter dipped in bobtail is the dogs danglies!!!
I live 5 mins drive away and always in Pro smoke getting my charcoal and rubs, so annoyed i missed this!!!
One thing you notice is you will never see a class in America for uk cooking recipes lol
Wish i had known you were over here ide have come to that :( why didn't you say exactly ?
I’m going back to England next week and I bring my rubs for my cousins
Toss that tortilla on the hot grill for sec. Great video!
You went to England and drank Miller Lite??? England, the land of so much fantastic beer, and the drink of choice is el cheapo American.
You don’t mess with something that works. 😂
Need to add Banana Pudding and Peach Cobbler to the cooking class menu...lol

Probably mummy and daddy helped out. He doesn’t come across as a nice guy as you can see his facial reactions in the kitchen.
The cost of shipping one item of that weight is insane. However, shipping a pile of them in an intermodal container brings the cost per unit WAY down.

Homeboy is the tan sweater looks like Sal from Impractical Jokers.
gotta have the mint sauce with the mushy peas
39 pounds comes out to $48 , that's a bit pricey 🤔
Bovril on toast is the best
Love this!
Hey where’d you find a brisket like that in the UK? They’re typically nothing like you find back home
At the class XM Gold from Johndavidson was recommended.
With a name like Bovril,.....you know its gotta be good.
You need to go to greasy cafe and try a full English breakfast
Don’t put him off food forever ffs!
Great day and the combination of Chud and Dave were like a double act.
The Brisket was perfect and the sausages, well, now I’m making sausage- thanks for more time away from the wife😵💫😵💫
Are Pro Smoke ever going to get the Chud chimney?
@12:08 I checked my phone
Mushy peas are the best
Very entertaining video!..
how did i miss this!!
Can @Meat send Wilson a grinder pls
Try introducing quality bbq in the Netherlands. That would be a challenge.
I'm American but my sister is married to a Dutch guy.....when his family comes over they plow through more brisket and spares than people here do lol.
damn how did i miss this😢
Where did you get all that meat from in the UK? Sherwoods?
"good beverages| Then drinks that pisswater
Did I miss the brisket being cut?
Mmmmh, super concentrated beef in a jar.
When are you visting South Africa? Plenty go smoke here. Would be awesome to meat up
