I'm glad you when with the black paint. I know it's quicker, but using the etch function to burn in the image, never gets as jet black as paint. Honestly, the flat black paint just looks a lot sharper... IMHO. Great vid by the way =)

Using a light coat of clear before your color coats will seal the tape and give you sharper results.

Great video! JDS Industries sells laser masking tape in 6" and 12" widths. This would save you a ton of time and money in masking!! OK, hope that helps...

Something tells me that Triple Rustic Designs has just begun to "scratch the surface" w/the laser....
I recommend making a few more of those and then a couple of coats of marine varnish on them - they will last forever outside and always look great.
Burning it would have taken a lot longer and such for sure plus do that a lot and it will do wonders for the monthly electric bill too - NOT! Thank You! 🙂👍

Great job Zoe!! We have a smaller laser as we do a great deal of fills but smaller projects. That idea was a good one, as long as the paint last. When we do a large fill burn we than seal it and it seems to last. But I am going to try that!!!!!!!
That's a very expensive painters tape cutter. LOL! You should of engraved it to give it a "RUSTIC" look.

Seems like Over Kill to use a C02 Laser to Cut masking tape. Makes more sense to use a Vinyl Plotter if your only using it for a template.

Massive thunder cake
What can help that I use to paint particularly stuff I need to move around on is a lazy Susan. These are cheap and come in various sizes and work very well for spinning a part ont as you paint the piece. Makes for much easier handling and complete painting passes.

Hey it turned out just as good, but I for one prefer the laser version. Worth the effort cause the laser gives it a touch of prestige. As for line vs fill it just depends, HEY it’s what it is.
