Olena, you and your family have been on a very difficult journey since the full scale invasion by the ruzzian terrorists. You have shown your ups and downs openly and honestly with your viewers and the world. Do not feel guilty for tapering off of your video posts; you must put yourself and your family first. Your well-being is most important…especially with all you have gone through. Your journey now takes you into the creation of a children's channel that will bring so much joy and healing to Ukrainian children all over the world. What a wonderful gift that is. I hope it also brings you joy and healing. You bring good people together and that is a blessing. I look forward to seeing your new channel and continuing to follow What Is Ukraine. I’ve followed you since my visits to Kyiv in 2021 and I think you are very positive and knowledgeable and a great spokesperson for Amazing Ukraine! Slava Ukraini! Victory will be yours! 💛💙🇺🇦 Take Care 💗

What a nice idea! 💙💛 I‘ll subscribe of course!!
You‘re still important bc many connected to you and through you to Ukraine! Don‘t question yourself please! You can’t save Ukraine as an individual! Everyone can do a little bit and together it’s still huge help but don’t take responsibility for a situation you didn’t cause !! Don’t feel guilty! But it‘s good to think about what feels right for you and to do exactly that!
The channel for kids is a great idea, you‘re right, the kids don‘t wait to grow and you probably feel a bt more like keeping in touch with your country while thinking about what to offer the Ukrainian kids as education and nurturing content❤! If you ask me, you‘re perfect for such a channel! I‘ll watch it for sure, maybe I‘m gonna learn sth, I‘ll tell you!
    Sweet Daryna is growing fast😊!

You are certainly certainly still worth supporting!! So many of us love all of you. So whenever you can check in, please do. But otherwise just keep doing what makes you feel good!

Hi Olena, people watch your channel because they love you and your family. They have followed you in Ukraine during the first half of the war to your journey to the USA as war refugees. I can guarantee you one thing… every one of your subscribers was over-joyed that you and your family was able to leave Ukraine to safety. Even while being here in the USA, you are able to do so much by raising awareness & also raising aid for Ukraine. There is no reason to feel guilty. I know people in Ukraine must be so proud to have an ambassador like you.

You have to do what you feel is right and what makes you happy. My little Patreon subscription will continue of course. I can say please don't feel guilty but we all know "survivors guilt is very real". We have grown to love your family and wish you all the very best with what you do . I hope when you return to Ukraine you will continue a channel for us to learn of the places and celebrations of Ukraine as I have learned so much from you already but know there is much more to learn. Ukraine will prevail

Yes we do need your content Olena. We want to stay connected to you, not only to know what is going on in Ukraine, but to see you and your family make it through this war. It’s also so wonderful to see you create a new channel to benefit Ukrainian children. What you do is important. You will make these children feel happy and relaxed and safe. Please do not feel you “owe” us anything. This is the time you need to take care of your family and live as good a life as you can while being here in safety. You deserve this. All Ukrainians do, but Please don’t feel guilty. Whatever efforts you make to help others is so important and is enough! 😘

Dear Olena, I have tears in my eyes as I watch and listen to you. You and your family have been in my prayers every day since the war broke out. Olena I understand your change in direction and at least it will start healing your heart (as much as can be when you are crying for your home and people) especially as you know you will give Ukrainian children the chance of internalizing Ukrainian language while away from home…🌺
I am a Canadian🇨🇦 and know some families who have welcomed Ukrainians🇺🇦 into their homes during this time and as some have preschool kids, I will send them your message on and also the link to your new channel.
Olena, you and your family have been a blessing to us all - and due to the war, as well as the tremendous upheavals and political uncertainties around the world, were being seen and felt by all of us, some of us veered away to more news oriented programming. I am sad for that and for you, about that. However I kept my eyes open and when I got the notification that your friend and her kids needed to get out of Ukraine to the USA, I donated $100 to that cause. It was all I could do…AND then when another notification came to say they had gotten to Poland (?) I rejoiced🥳 I knew then that they were going to be OK…Unfortunately I haven’t followed up since due to significant things in my personal world.
Olena, you are a terrific mom and I’m sure a wonderful wife and friend to your husband as well. You are an example of grace and courage and we are all lucky to have “met” you…
May God Bless all you you and keep you safe always…❤️🙏🏼🇨🇦🤗🌻💐🫶🏻❤️🇺🇦❤️

Dear Olena, I absolutely agree with you that "Pani Kalyna" is much more important than "What Is Ukraine" currently for all the reasons you mentioned. I have still been watching whatever you posted on your main channel and interacting with it recently just to support you (and I loved you introducing e. g. Kristina and Pastor and Daryna and letting us know how we can support them.) I love seeing a bit about how you and your family are doing in the US (and for me, that, too, is Ukraine currently: being a refugee elsewhere.) Honestly, being based in Europe, in Germany, and following the situation in Ukraine closely, none of your most recent posts was news for me. I can only say, "Sure, Russia is a terrorist state", and feel so sorry about your and all Ukrainians' pain, but I don't learn anything new, and it has not added anything to my resolve to keeping up my support for Ukraine recently because it never waned in the first place. Just the opposite. We are in this together and will be until long after victory.
So for me it is perfect if you shift your focus to Pani Kalyna. What an incredible talent you are bringing in to that! Sooo beautifully done. Keep going! Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦! Silvia from Germany ❤️

Not an easy task but once you get going as you have, the viewers world and yours will change for the better. And never say that you are not a historian. You have taught many of us so much about your culture, and Ukraine’s beauty and the life there before the war and now so tragically during the war. Keep listening to your heart and gut instincts. You come to the tube as an expert Ukrainian and one family who had to flee Ukraine because of what Putin had done recently, which is a continuing problem since December 2013. Dear Olena. Thank you for explaining how you are feeling. I can understand your mixed feelings about posting on your old channel. Don't underestimate, however, the value in talking (from time to time) about how it feels to be safe while others are not. It is not something that refugees generally give words to on social media. It is valuable for the rest of the world to learn about the conflicted feelings that are present in those who have had to flee their country.
I fully appreciate your deep need to do something that is meaningful. I'm happy to continue to be a patron. Maybe I will even learn some Ukrainian from watching your new channel (something I really want to do). Much love to you and your family.

I can only speak for myself, but the reason I follow you is because I see so much of you in all of us regular moms just trying to get by and do the best we can with what life throws at us. When the invasion started I saw so many families and people fleeing and the destruction on the news, but when I saw you in the bomb shelter terrified, but still fierce and defiant I truly felt it. At the end of the day, it’s important to show the world that nothing Russia does will stop Ukraine from existing.

Soviets and russia were trying to ruin this beautiful tradition together with our language and keep trying to do so but we won't let them do that

And she is polish girl :) I know she will find some ukrainian children then I could spread a word about your channel with their parents. It's nice to see Daryna as a co-star of the show, I hope to see Taras and Katya too. Slava Ukraini! Żywie Belarus! Chwała Polsce! PS. Olena…all of your thoughts and feelings about your two channels are so valid. You are a very thoughtful and intelligent woman and you will always make the best decisions regarding both channels because those decisions come from your heart. Love the purpose for your new channel and so glad for its growing popularity among your native Ukrainians. If I were in your shoes, I know it would give me a feeling of service to my country…as I’m sure you feel the same way…and what a great place to serve - in the hearts of Ukraine’s children. As for “What is Ukraine”, it is a wonderfully purposeful channel as well - and if you feel the need to step back from it at this time, it is more than understandable. I will think positively and hope you will come back to it after Ukraine’s victory and show us more of your beautiful country and it’s rebuilding process. It will be lovely to see positive and beautiful images coming from Ukraine after all the atrocities we see on a daily basis.
Exciting to hear of your husband’s new opportunity…yay, Serhiy 👏🏻!!
Take care of yourself, Olena…You are doing well!! ♥️♥️

I was watching Panikalyna the other day when Olena first posted it. It is not designed for my age but since I have no Ukrainian language background, I can tell you when Olena talks about shapes, color, or animal, I had hard time figuring out which is the word for animal but don't have hard time understanding which word for shape or color. For someone with no language and hear a speaker voicing out a series of words, Olena's action and voice emphases is important to the learner. As I said, Olena educational video is not aim at me, but I wonder if it would work better if Olena teaches a word, the word would show up on the screen. I understand children might not understand the written words but it is still a visual aid and a tool for emphasis. Anyway, I will support what you do Olena.

Great idea! Best wishes on this project which will be so useful for Ukrainian children there and for those that had to disperse all over the world. For them it will be an umbilical cord to connect to their culture. My channel does not have content. I just post lots of commentary far and wide. Hopefully UA-cam will allow me to provide links (as appropriate).

I was blessed that my mother’s best friend was Ukrainian and as my nanny she was very effective at teaching me Ukrainian. Too effective because I wasn’t learning English so we had to make other arrangements. She,
Олена Богданова, was also my 1st and 6th grade teacher in the public school in California. I don’t know how to successfully teach a child two languages simultaneously but I’m sure many are successful at this. I wish you the best of luck with your new channel. Слава Україні🇺🇦🌻
