What a beautiful connection between you and Anderson. The connection between you two have opened our eyes to the horrors of the war in Ukraine, and the beauty of the Ukrainian people.

yes! Anderson Cooper I am most grateful for the evening you "introduced" us to Olena Gnes. I remember that evening and immediately contacted her and followed her firsthand knowledge of the war. I checked in daily to be sure her husband and children and Olena were safe, I prayed they would come to the United States and totally relieved when they were on their way. Then I began to have one wish. A wish that I could spend my birthday with them and take them all to lunch...That I could meet them all and bring them smiles and good old-fashioned fun. I am forever grateful that my birthday wish came true on April 27 ... and as time goes by, that memory of the day with Olena and family will remain in my heart forever, the greatest gift to share hugs, the joy, the smiles, the laughs and a few tears, we all shared are etched in my heart. Life passes ever so rapidly. Our time together was the greatest gift of all. God bless the family we have all come to know and love. Thank you Anderson.

You are all really good humans with big hearts and wonderful abilities to tell stories, share experiences, give others a place to be heard and understood. I forgot that I was watching 'strangers' and felt such warmth and gratitude listening in on your conversation. Anderson made the right career choice. Olena and family, continually making really hard but spot on life decisions. I look forward to the day when Anderson visits you again in a peaceful sovereign Ukraine.

Olena .. I’ve been waiting and hoping for “This Meeting” with All of You and Anderson .. especially knowing you were in New York. And the fact that it was you interviewing him .. Wow !! 👏👏 What a real treat this is for us to see .. but most of all .. what an honour this must have been for You 📹. So happy to hear that you were able to not only get to go to CNN .. but had the opportunity to visit his family/home .. that’s so cool. I’m still hoping that his son (Wyatt) will get together with (Sweet Daryna) .. that’s the romantic in me. Lol Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us .. and I look forward to the video when Anderson comes back to Ukraine .. to see it’s rebuilding and to meet with you at home !!! Then this story will have gone full circle. Safe journey and as always .. sending Love and Hugs and Hope that your return home .. will be one day SOON. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Glory to the Heroes

Also, I can't wait to visit peaceful, still beautiful Ukraine. Watching your channel before as a tour guide of Ukraine, Chernobyl, etc, then it was not a month later and there's a wild invasion from neighboring Russia; not going to lie, the timing was uncanny and very upsetting to see the confusion and terror. Seeing your courage and Sirhiy's bravery on full display every day... your struggles were (and are) impossible to fathom, while still remaining inspirational. Sharing your lives with us took a lot of guts. Thank you (words are not enough) for letting the world see how difficult life truly is when your beloved home is under attack. That takes magnitudes of courage. Kids at the playground, your sister babysitting, their teacher, your friends and family in the local parks. Everyday life activities, gone in the blink of an eye. You opened many many people's eyes by sharing. Sending hugs❤ #Stoprussia

Yes, indeed - as Anderson says, interviewing you with your family, in your circumstances, has been very illuminating. You are always authentic, Olena, and journalists like that and need that. Plus you are articulate and have a philosophical outlook on life. You are relatable - also very important in journalism.
Thank you for keeping the world informed - for all your hard work.

So happy you met up with Anderson! Did you ever think you would be sitting with him at CNN in NY?! I am so blown away by how fluently Katya speaks English now! How is it different than school in Ukraine?

I feel humbled to be able to follow you from the beginning of the war and have looked forward to your videos and felt it important to know you and your family and have been the face of humanity in this inhumane war. I can only imagine how much you miss your home but to see your children flourish and have fun in safety is a joy. Enjoy the rest of your travels. So happy to see this beautiful bond between families and fellow journalists. Katya is very wise. It was powerful watching Anderson absorb her words.
