This is a re-upload, with clarifying additions. The original version I failed to mention the drilled-out holes in the axe container for water drainage. I've spliced in a clip for clarification, not shown in the original version. I unfortunately had to re-shoot that scene twice due to a framing issue, and forgot to mention the holes in the second shoot.
I used this re-upload as an opportunity to play a game, and released the new version as a Premier. The object of the game was to "select the edit". Basically I picked a "clever" edit and asked the audience to guess which edit I had picked as the edit to find. There was mass confusion on the object of the game, with many thinking it was a "spot the difference" game, though I thought I was clear it was not that sort of game. I posted the instructions of the game in the Community Tab confirming numerous times that the game was not to find the new edit (used for clarification within the video about my use of drain holes in the mod I made for my lawn mower), or that there was any new edit of any kind to find pertaining to the game being played (I suppose it would be a bonus if you did notice the spliced in clip), but that there was an edit in the original version that was meant to be pointed out. This edit remained the same in the new version of the vlog., as did all the rest of the video, minus what was explained about adding a clip for clarification. Find the instructions here-

I admit that i'm not the best at explaining things all the time, so i'm not surprised that there was some folks who misunderstood the object of the game. Many thought it was to find new edits, because of coarse there was one new edit. This of coarse was not the edit i wanted found, if you read the instructions or watch the video explaining the game.

This will prove that the videos are virtually identical, except the edit I made clear would be put in, which again had nothing to do with the game.
The object of the game was to incentivize folks to re-watch a video they basically already saw, so as to garner views matching the first version, that had since been "taken down", due to my error in not including a clarifying remark about objects within said video. The result , much confusion amongst some folks.
After this video finished premiering with 2 winners to the game, we did a live video to announce the winners and further clarified to people the object of the game with further context being experience by the act of actually playing the game and seeing the result-

Still some confusion as to what the object of the game was. That it wasn't about finding new edits, or the actual new edit promised, but about finding an "easter egg" in the form of an edit that appeared identical in both versions of the vlog. It could have been any edit within the video. I just chose one at random that I liked and the object of the game was to guess the edit I chose. I even gave some vague hints in the live video (the one mentioned above) explaining the game that it could be about the words that appear on screen. This is something I did for fun to see if anyone would pick up on it, I am not sure if anyone did. The edit I chose to have people guess was the edit where "first mow, then snow, then tow" appear on the screen, with "tow" quickly changing to "two." The edit was a silly clever way to make the three sentences rhyme, and then change to make sense within context.
And this is how there came to be so many videos pertaining to one vlog! Haha.
Thank you to everyone who played. Congrats Annet and Suz. Sorry to anyone else who couldn't understand the game. Next time it will be easier as there will be less elements to contend with.

I just watched a 40 minute video of some guy modifying a John Deere lawn mower - not once, but Twice! Only you, Josh!! No one else could make that so darned fun!

Another possible mod idea for you, put a small box at the back of the tractor to hold tools, mosquito repellent, etc...

He's got skills and knowledge that will soon be gone forever. Maybe mention to him to record what he knows, whether he puts them up on yt or not. It's easier than writing a book.

That's the way to do it! Best reason to have an old beater - much more fun to mess around than to try to restore some old thing to pristine condition. I'll pay a lot of attention to the engine and transmission so it actually works well, but then the rest just hack around with the rest.

When you started taking about the phone holder I thought you were going to say you dropped your phone and ran it over haha. Unfortunately my phone fell out of my pocket a few years ago when I was clearing snow. I found it right after I ran it over with the snow blower, well I found pieces of it haha. Don’t know why but this vlog reminded me of that haha.
Josh, that was some very 'strategic' adjustments. 😉 The add-ons to the mower are cool too. 🤓
A bit of friendly advice. I used to eat only once a day plus a few snacks but then last August I kept going dizzy, I even fell to the floor and my son had to lift me up luckily enough he is very tall compared to me , Im 5ft 7 and he is 6ft hes also got muscle (always helps) anyway the Doctor did blood tests and found I had very low iron deficiency due to not eating properly. If the tablets hadnt worked the Dr spoke about me possibly having a blood transfusion. Thank goodness I didnt have to have that. So please eat more than one meal a day. xx

Swedish axes are very good quality. It would be well worth your while to take that axe head, use your grinder to get the nicks out of the blade and sharpen it properly. Your mods look good. Would be cool to see you grind down the rust spots and do some touch up painting on the old girl. Love the new seat. Mary would be glad to see it getting used again.

Mygrandma used to order them and they wb delivered in boxes at the proper time!! I remember the cheep cheep cheep from the boxes. I have a couple pieces of the lumber that was used in the chicken coup fence. It is very special.

The edit that the tractor seat was from the Potter's house. Also. The tall chrome exhaust stack , you waved your magic hands and it was in place in the second run!

Damn Josh, it is just a 3 lb ax, not a 1000 lb. trailer hitch....how heavy a steel do you need to use in order to attach the mounting system! lol Only Josh would paint the ax John Deere green and yellow! lol Maybe you can sell your ax/hatchet mounting system to John Deere as an OEM product to be mounted on all future production lawn mowers???

So, I watched the latest vlog and you referred back to this one and the game. I didn't even realize that this one was one of your vlogs, lol. I kept seeing a garden tractor modification thumbnail popping up in my suggested videos and just thought it was a random person. I'm glad that I caught it, it was a good one and made me again, wish I was handy with metal working. Woodwork I'm ok but I am just too intimidated by metal craft. Too heavy, too sharp and too hard. Enjoyed watching you tho! I wish I had a tractor seat now.

I did actually catch that clever little "mow, snow, tow/two" edit, but I liked the "Armando...but smaller" text better! I'm not sure if I do catch all the fun easter eggs in your vlogs but the ones I do catch always make me laugh. Most times I have to rewind and re-watch to catch them though. Keep evolving Josh!
Oh yeah, and I used to "know" you when you weren't so 'fancy' and only had a little gas lawn mower! Haha LOVE the modifications. For the knob, why not do a bit of welding and make something? Start with a nut...👣

when you were making the bracket for the axes,I couldn't help but wonder if you would weld the bracket onto the tractor...and I couldn't help but think of the time Mr. X had his brother's motor cycle and decided to weld something on it...caught fire and burned up the bike. I am laughing as I type that...( he didn't really know how to weld either...it was my dad's tools.)

The tool box idea is awesome and the cow catcher low in front is a great also. What about modifying the lift up hood in some way. You could modify the exhaust to a heavier metal and put it out front.
You could add a golf ball to the steering wheel (if you find a way) to have a DIY solution for the suicide knob. And you could use an old axe handle for the shifter knob to align with the axes in the front.

I saw that broken part when the camera went underneath. better than the old clunker mower they drove around on Green Acres. Now he will screw in the phone holder . Some people like use old tractor seats for high chairs. I have had some time sin my life smelling exhaust

How about a "cow catcher" type attachment at the front -- low to the ground, so that it hits stumps or rocks instead of the mower deck. :-)

Do a small deer antlers surrounded by a resin ball for the shifter.
I always pour the liquid from the empty container into the new one with all the different wipes.
