GREAT VIDEO!! You are able to make it as simple as possible and pause so we can get it or "fix" it. The music is fantastic and soothing, especially if you are getting tangled up in paracord! It is amazing how many tools come to comment just to be mean spirited and haven't got a clue. I'm guessin' they are all under 12 years old or are still living in their mother's basement. Thanks for the tutorials!
Thanks a lot, Mr.J.D! When I watch your videos, I feel like a student with you as a great teacher. Tying is such an art and you make it more beautiful and relaxing with the music! Again, thank you!
Thats what makes his videos so great! There is no talking so hes not stumbling trying to explain what he is doing, just watch the entire video a few times THEN make an attempt at doing one yourself. Sit back and enjoy the music
i just picked up a bunch of paracord from my local military surplus store, and i'm trying to master some of these terrific braiding techniques, but they can be a real test of patience!
Brilliant! I found a tutorial of the buckle version on some DIY site. The website was broken, so I had to find an alternative. This video helped me so much. Thanks!
@YourNameHereX98 i started doing this about a month ago there hasnt been a single thing on this channel i have not been able to tie myself.it helps if you turn the music off and pause often to make sure your following his moves.these are great tutorials if you know how to pay attention to the little things.
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! I tried it and it looks AMAZING!!!! I didn't have paracord so i used another cord made with plant fibres I think (maybe cotton?) it didn't turn out the exact same way but BEAUTIFUL nonetheless. I had some trouble with the button but I got it after a few tries, I also messed up in other places along the way but I have a really nice bracelet now!!
Its the base of a 2 strand diamond knot/false turks head knot/lanyard knot. The onily diffrence if you dont put any strands in the center you just stoop at the base and start tightening. Hope this helps... -Bat
Hey,JD. I have done this pattern before without a buckle and I really liked it but it came off of my arm a lot.So, can you tell me away to put a buckle on this pattern or show me a video on how to do that? Thanks,Shauna.
I have been trying to find a video tutorial of someone fixing a nalgene bottle strap that was broken. If you were able to give any insights it would be amazing. I have been having a difficult time working out a way to attach the lid to the bottle.
JD I don't know how you always manage to get the bracelet length correct each time you make a video. Do you secretly mark the cord the correct size of your wrist or wut!! I like this style, im going to make one of these soon but with a buckle!
Well, since this bracelet is a direct stitch (directly tied onto the same piece of center cord), you would have two options. 1) Untie it 2) Make the end knot bigger to fit the hole
I didn't have any trouble following his instructions when I used the pause button. Also, the lack of speech makes it easier for non-native English speakers to understand this. How would you feel if JD was speaking French or German and you couldn't follow the instructions because you don't understand a word?
how long would thre 50 ft strands of paracord last me if i was going to make mostly zipper sinnet, river bar, and tire tread bar bracelets?? plz answer back ASAP... thanx
Or you could just string a bead on it and use that as your stopper...another suggestion is a double overhand knot but im not sure what itll turn out like...and if you want to know awhat a 2 strand diamond knot is the easiest way to figure it out is going to the lizard belly bar and skipping to the knot at the end.... Do that but stop when he puts the strings through the center diamond.
wow love all your vids.. and the no talking thing is cool but reading some thing that people say or ask is like ...dam watch the vid... think about it. do it .stop asking silly ques....i like watching them and make it work with whatever i want to use it for thats the fun part
mxpxkid188, yes, just use a bit of noggin and you'll get it. You can also change the look of the bar by pulling it all tight to create a double decker type bar instead of a flat one.
So I finished making the bracelet but I found out that the loop is too big. How can I make the loop smaller without having to take the bracelet apart. Someone PLEASE respond. Please and thank you :)
@6deltora I don't find a difference really.. I make anything out of 550 and the only thing I notice is a slight size difference compared to it, but it is so small of a difference that I don't mind it my self.
I wish you would have followed through with another set of tying down the bar. Normally I love your videos and have no trouble following them, but for some reason I can not get past the 7ish minute mark.
@TyingItAllTogether that bracelet would make a really Bad A@@ looking thin blue line or thin red line. How come you didnt make any breast cancer colored bracelet im sure all of your subscribers would make them to show support. This type and a thin line type with breast cancer colors would be a huge hit. Love your vids thank you for putting them up.
This is an Awesome bracelet, but I don't understand the pattern. It's like, I can replay the video and keep working my way down but no matter how hard I try, I'm just stumped as far as figuring it out by myself...
The button knot clasp is nearly impossible without worded instructions. I've been sitting here for the past hour and I have yetto figure it out, you keep moving too fast for me to keep up!

4 people only have 1 hand.
thanks for sharing, great inspiration.
I've have read all of your books and love them.... KNOT!
@QualityKnives I made it with a buckle. I put one side on the "white" strand and one on the "green" instead of the knot.
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!
I tried it and it looks AMAZING!!!!

J.D. is a genius!

@TyingItAllTogether
Wow, that sounds excellent! I can buy it at your website correct?
it reminds me of the feather bar, the idea of alternating two colors of string, and using the wrapture technique, sorta
I have been trying to find a video tutorial of someone fixing a nalgene bottle strap that was broken. If you were able to give any insights it would be amazing. I have been having a difficult time working out a way to attach the lid to the bottle.
YESSSSSSS
i cant wait to watch it

Superb man
It's god damn 1 in the fucking morning and I'm looking at motherfucking Parachord videos where the fuck is my mind right now

What is your book "Disturbingly Normal" about, from the title it looks cool!
@TyingItAllTogether
Cool, thanks man!

what kind of knot would you recommend to make a paracord rifle sling with?
will this "ripcord" out to a single strand easily? or shodul i say single strand + the green one? or is it more knotted?
mxpxkid188, yes, just use a bit of noggin and you'll get it. You can also change the look of the bar by pulling it all tight to create a double decker type bar instead of a flat one.
oh my, watching this, the music started making me sleepy. Great job though, Great for emergency rope bracelets when you go camping and what not.
How would you go about putting a buckle, Biner or shackle on this one?
Do you have to use thick string like that?
are the sides thin or are thay like the back to back feather bar?
So I finished making the bracelet but I found out that the loop is too big. How can I make the loop smaller without having to take the bracelet apart. Someone PLEASE respond.
Please and thank you :)
@6deltora I don't find a difference really.. I make anything out of 550 and the only thing I notice is a slight size difference compared to it, but it is so small of a difference that I don't mind it my self.
what is the type of string you use????? please answer
@tyingitalltogether Nice vid dude, Can you tell me the name of the track and artist name ? thanks
I wish you would have followed through with another set of tying down the bar. Normally I love your videos and have no trouble following them, but for some reason I can not get past the 7ish minute mark.
@lmp900 did you fiqure out how to put a buckle on?
The Music is very strange. But i like it :D
Thx for this awsome tying tutorial.

HAHA...i read ur comment b4 the vid and i was like HUH, and then 5mins in i was off to the bathroom, thats weird lol
you can get on ebay or amazon is good and cheap

I like the focus on the visuals, relying on speech would ruin these videos for the users who aren't fluent in English.
que habilidad para trabajar en el aire
awesome! thanks!!!
the beginning knot looks friggin hard to do but the rest of the bracelet is easy enough!
How can you make this with the plastic buckle?
@TyingItAllTogether Hi, Umm... can you use Fat Shoe laces?
Patients is a virtue.
I don't use 450 nylon paracord I use 550 is there a difference?
I bought your book!
would 550 paracord do the job too?
hahahaha that is a brilliant reply becouse it did the same to me, ive just had to go for one now ive restarted the vid i think i need another one!
where do you purchase your parcord?
Where do you purchase your sting?
feliz con tos videos..
is there a way to do this with clips?
I like the Celtric heart. I think that is what out is called
@YourNameHereX98 I suck at making these, ive only made the cobra weave but I still made this it just took 4 hours. its possible
Cool!!!!!
@Officerhoffman yes i love mine.
why is the second knot so hard to TIE!!! this is causing me a head ache..
what if someone wants buckle clasps?
The button knot clasp is nearly impossible without worded instructions. I've been sitting here for the past hour and I have yetto figure it out, you keep moving too fast for me to keep up!
Why do you use 450 paracord and not 550
Cool

Best place is to shop around online.
