How to make a Solomons Heart Paracord Bracelet (Locked-in-Love)

  • I wrote a book! If you are interested in Apocalyptic fiction stories check it out on Amazon :)
    www.amazon.com/Fall-Dragon-Ap...
    This is a twist on the Cobra Stitch/Solomon Bar/Portuguese Sinnet which results in a heart shaped pattern that can be repeated the entire length of the bracelet or can be injected into a normal cobra weave leaving a single heart shape. If you know how to tie a cobra weave bracelet then you can tie this bracelet. Bracelet can be made with a buckle or a loop and knot fastener design, makers choice.
    The bracelet can be worn and the wearer has the benefit of having an extra 7-9 feet of 550 paracord on them; if the situation dictates, the bracelet can be unwoven and the cordage becomes available for use. Makes a great addition to a survival kit or survival plan.
    Please refer to other UA-cam videos for instructions on making a two color Cobra Weave as well as ways to join two different colors of paracord. Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching.
    Additional Information about the Creator of this weave:
    PhatPony is also Frayed Knots on the Fusion Knots forum, check him out on facebook and visit his website at www.frayedknots.com

    I've been watching a lot of paracord videos lately and this was THE BEST I've come across! Having a grip on the cobra stitch helped but you conveyed a new pattern technique in half the time of other videos. I only backed up the video once to re-watch your start. Good job!

    thanks for showing how to do a paracord bracelet with a side clasp. I do a lot of bracelets using other videos which use knot and loop which look nice, but a lot of people rather have a clasp for secure wearability. This one I will make using hot pink and white but it would look good in black and gold too.

  • @ChaoticThinking1
    @ChaoticThinking1  11 років тому

    Exactly, :) because bracelets made of paracord are considered "survival bracelets" (due to having spare rope on you at all times), and some people that make rifle slings, pouches, weapons, etc sometimes the craft is referred to as "Tactical Macrame", lol

    I use 5/8, this is what i started with and now its what i prefer. If you need to loop through a buckle twice you can do it, if you use a smaller it would be more difficult. I also like that size because it matches the width pretty good of a normal cobra weave, (well it looks good compared to the width)

    Very nice pattern, I made one for my wife and she loves it. I did notice a small mistake in the text for the measurements, it said 4.5 " for 4.5 feet (4.5'). No real big deal, but I just wanted to bring it to your attention in case you wanted to fix it. Thanks for the upload. Peace.

    I use 550 paracord and it works well. I also know of a lot of people that use 450 paracord since its a bit thinner, either type would work just fine. Amazon usually has great deals for both types of cord and a multitude of colors.

    I THOUGHT THIS VIDEO WAS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE SEEN ON YOU TUBE. "GOOD JOB FOR YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT." I liked how fast and to the point you were. It's great for people that no how to make them already. But....you might want to add info. about the materials you used and also explain how to start and finish the ends. Just for the ones that are newer at it. Loved It!!!!
    THIS WOULD MAKE AN AWSOME DOG COLLAR.....
