  • Squats are the KING of exercises and for good reason: the physical demand of this movement is high among many other exercises that you do during leg day. Although many beginners may challenge this exercise early on in their fitness journey, doing a squat is considered to be an advanced movement. This is because MANY things need to move correctly in order for you to squat safely.
Among the many joints that move during the squat, mobility is required in the ankles, hips, and thoracic spine. Mobilizing these joints as part of your warm up can help to reduce the risk of knee and low back injuries. Not only that, but it allows your body to recover with less issues, which can allow you to progress more efficiently through your workouts. With full mobility, you position yourself to optimize performance.
