finding Miku's channel was a blessing to me and my japanese learning
it's very good. Have you tried Misa's channel?
Daniele Baldo yes she was the first teacher i discovered before Miku
@@utahimesubs3192 the videos look very similar, anyway that's good, more learning stuff for us!
It's good, She's Good; my UA-cam 日本語 resources (or maybe its 日本語の resources) : Risa from Japanese pod, Misa from Japanese Ammo, Erin ga Chosen (kind of complex and too dense for my skill), the Learning Kanji Channel by (He doesn't post anymore, shame really) and now my newfound Miku from MikuRealJapanese.
Yes i also follow Misàs channel, but I find her a bit confused, lake of method, and get tired with her voice after a while . But she teaches a lot of things, quite good also.
My two best Japanese teacher channels! Japanese ammo with Misa and Miku real Japanese! You're both GREAT teachers!
ききKiki i agree! They are my both favorite teacher!
I agree! So good!
Omg me too!!
I agree
Marcel Gomez That doesn’t mean that Misa isn’t a teacher..yes she isn’t qualified but at this point she IS a teacher. I can understand her better than those Japanese teachers out there
Notes: JLPT N4 verbs mentioned in the video 😊 ℹ 叱る (しかる) ➡ to scold ℹ盗む (ぬすむ) ➡ to steal ℹ誘う (さそう) ➡ to invite ℹ壊す (こわす) ➡ to break ℹ 刺す (さす) ➡ to get stung (by a mosquito) ℹ 踏む (ふむ) ➡ to step on (someone's foot) ℹ 告白する (こくはくする) ➡ to confess one's love ℹ 笑う (わらう) ➡ to laugh ℹ 噛む (かむ) ➡ to bite ℹ 褒める (ほめる) ➡ to praise ℹ 建てる (たてる) to build/construct (a building)
Other N4 vocab (/verbs):

Learning Japanese has forced me to relearn English because I had no idea what “passive” was. And yeah, I definitely don’t speak that way very often. It doesn’t sound natural in English to me.
amen. i've learned more English learning Japanese than anywhere else!
True
I don't understand this passive form ( I'm French ^^). Like an amount of the examples were in the active form if I correctly understood what it is.. ( passive is like : I got my wallet stolen/ active: Someone stole my wallet ( this is the example of the video)).
I'm embarrassed to say that I've been living in Japan for 18 years and I still couldn't master the passive form but now, I believe I finally get it! Thank you very much!!!
Paddy inJapan me too😹
ja tak polak robak
you will master it. ganbatte
Finally a passive voice tutorial that makes PERFECT sense! I feel like I just climbed this huge mountain of unnatural and now I get it! It makes sense! Like finally!
Congratulations man, stay strong on your journey
If anyone was wondering, to say "Passive Voice" as a grammar point in Japanese is 受動態(じゅどうたい)
jisho.org/word/%E5%8F%97%E5%8B%95%E6%85%8B
"Someone bit my butt じゃない!" ミク先生は本当にかわいくて、面白いえすね。
I laughed there “Someone bit my butt” 😂
What sucks is that the passive form of す-verbs can be confused with the causative-passive form of する (される) & the passive form of る-verbs can be confused with いる・える verbs if you're not careful.
"someone bit my butt" cracked me out so much :)))
What's crack someone out meaning bro ?
@@keteo3736 it means eat
@@keteo3736 it means it made them laugh
actually japanese people don't find butt jokes funny
ミクさんはとても(感謝)かんしゃされてる。
素晴らしいですね。俺日本人ですけど、結構日本語はこうなってるんだなって勉強になります。
I would love to watch your teaching method for Causative forms soon.
This is an excellent explanation...I'm ashamed to say I've been in Japan many years...first time hearing it explained so well .. Thanks
勉強になりました!

Excellent content. Happy to be a patron! Great work!
このレースンは超役に立ちました
Awesome! Thanks for a great and very thorough lesson!
One thing I was like to critique on is to keep your formal/non-formal verb forms consistent as to not add an unnecessary level of difficulty for new learners. For example, you said, "笑います is to laugh, and the passive form is 笑われる" which mixes the formal form of the verb the first time it is mentioned and the casual form for the passive voice. I noticed that this was done multiple times in the video and not just once, so I wanted to bring it up. It's better to keep it consistently in one formality level for explaining verb conjugation, since that makes it easier for new learners to get used to the conjugation rules.

Thank you. Very useful to me.
New subscriber here. You explain everything so well. You’re awesome. I also love your accent when you speak English. Thanks for the lesson.
In English class they even take points off our essays if we use the passive voice!!! 😩
prescriptivists suck
Passive voice is just as good as the active voice if used correctly.
The man punches Jack.
Jack is punched by the man.
The first sentence describes how someone is punching Jack. The second one does the same but puts more emphasis on _who_ is doing the punching, that is, the man instead of somebody else.
Passive allows writers to control the order of information, like Japanese は: to begin a sentence with the familiar topic as the subject, and end with the new or surprising information as its point. Often, the last point is the next topic. “A Brief History of Time” is one of the most clearly written science books ever. To make difficult ideas flow smoothly, Hawking wrote about 1/4 of his sentences in the passive.
The best explanation I've heard!
ありがとうみくさん😊教えてくれた
It helps me a lot to refresh my mind about the use of passive form
These example sentences are the best! Super short and simple. Thanks so much! Also, great format!
Seriously one of the most comprehensive explanations of the passive I've seen. Thanks!

Miku Sensei, thank you so much for your excellent work in explaining real Japanese. Your videos have been very helpful. I love your examples and your sense of humour.
ミク先生に受動態を教えられた。
ミク先生に受動態を教えてくれた!
Thank you for this lesson. For a very long time I thought passive voice was strictly for "victimhood". I have a feeling this is going to dramatically improve my listening comprehension and the naturalness of speech.
Love your effort and the way of teaching. Thank you very much. ❤️❤️
did not realize how much I needed this video hahaha. Thank you so much Miku sensei.
This is literally the only video that has made passive form make any kind of sense. Thank you Miku sensei!
Thank you so much i learned a lot ❤❤❤
This video is really cool! I thought I knew everything about the passive voice because I finished Genki but the third portion explaining the storytelling aspect being separate from the 嫌がる victim usage was new to me! Thanks so much!
Thank you Miku sensei. I've been struggling in understanding Japanese passive sentence for a while. Your video helps me a lot!!
Fantastic video. Really good explanation, well presented.
thanks a LOT Miku-san
nice teaching method
i totally understand
thank god i found this video
very very useful and informative video
Thank you very much Miku sensei
Could you speak in japanese more, I feel like when the person speak the language Im learning, I pick up more, than one who just speaks the language and goes back to english throughout the video. I feel like your channel and japanese ammo with misa does it well better. So I thank you, because I learn more. Thank you sensei. You earned a new subscriber😊
I think you should watch more japanese channels then, because this channel is more for learning the basics.
But I really share your opinion because its easier to lern if you hear "real japanese"...
If you want listening practice I recommend Sambon Juku, he pretty much talks exclusively in Japanese with both Eng and Jap subs. I think Kemushichan's channel is another good one.
You should check out 日本の森
They teach in Japanese
I am sure she thought about it..... over all it's better this way. I understand better like that too though......... advanced way though.
I also like ammo with misa she explain japanese in a different kind of perspective. Not gramatically but when to use is and the real meaning of the grammar.
Thank you.. more helpful than any other apps or channel ..ありがとうございます
I love very much your style of teaching. So enjoyable to learn, very interesting.
OMG!! I'm so happy i got most of the question challenges right!
Your lessons are great help, miku-sensei!
