- This was my first time in Pakistan and we went on a 3 week trip travelling through the spectacular mountains of the Gilgit-Baltistan region.
We were travelling as part of a bespoke tour I hosted with Intrepid Travel.
In this 3rd episode we drive along one of the highest highways in the world to the Khunjerab Pass on the border with China.
We then explore the quiet village of Passu, before driving to the remote village of Shimshal where we spend the next 3 nights.

After watching the last three episode, I can say that the trip planners have done an amazing job. Rather than benefiting the touristy places and hotels, they accommodated you in villages. Hiring of local guides that to women is just incredible. It a sign of building a good and sustainable tourism. Just one thing that their own knowledge of the area seemed to be limited as I am a native and can sense the alienation there. The rest was superb. Kudos the two young organisers. We welcome more such responsible tourism in the area 💟
Pakistan is very diverse. It has snow, mountains, deserts, sea and many more. Thanks to Karl for showing them more precisely. Will definitely visit Pakistan one day💚

Pakistan is a completely different country if you go to the north side you will see mountains cold weather different food different peoples if you come.to the you will see spicy food different kind of dresses no mountains completely different language if you go the sindh side they diferent culture from us different living style if you go to the balochistan side they are totaly different from us desert side and little bit mountains but different culture we have too many languages too many foods(we are famous for our foods and cultures world wide)too many colourful dresses and warm welcoming people we really love to enjoy life and smile we really dont know why world call us terriorist?whyyyyyy?????

Come visit Pakistan you are most welcome..
I have been to most of these places and more .. one thing I would like to mention is it's very hard to get full Idea of scale untill you see it with your own eyes .. you would walk hours and the view will not change some of these mountains are that big ..
Lastly I would encourage you to search for "deosai planes" in Pakistan .. they are known as roof of the world and amaizing

i can recommend u some pakistani channels that have eng subtitles that capture it in much more depth first one is wildlens by abrar second one is ukhano they are quite famous so just write the name in search bar and go to videos find the ones that concern northern parts and watch.

This region looks similar to Mustang of Nepal but more remote and extreme but equally beautiful. And those watermills are also exactly same as that we have here in my village and mountains regions of Nepal. Northern Pakistan is amazing.... Love from Nepal.

Karl that Jeep drive was looking very very scary. I have been to north of the Pakistan 10 years ago but never seen this part of the north. Worth visiting it by looking at your videos. Please do update about the local guides and how you managed the hotels bookings, logistics, and some guide to visit these areas. I am basically from Pakistan but never been that far in north.
