you all prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Hezekiah Ricky thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
**THIS TRIP WAS FROM 27TH DECEMBER 2019 TO 8TH FEBRUARY 2020** Several weeks before any lockdowns happened (other than in China). ANYWAY, hope everybody enjoyed this 2nd episode! Thanks to everyone who's watched ep1 so far. Final episode is out next Friday (19th), just adding the finishing touches to it and I think it's my favourite of the 3 :)
Hi Karl. I am watching from Nairobi Kenya as a subscriber. These are my favorites in this episode: Minute 29:25, 29:31 - the Hai Van Pass and Minute 43:28 - caving in Phong Nha National Park. The caves remind me of the majesty of God; truly we have no idea how great He is. I am speechless! Thank you for such a great production and hopefully, you will resume your travels soon. Stay safe
Cool, I can't wait. I saw the episode 2 and Vietnam is incredible ! The way of doing these travel documentaries is interesting. Don't stop to travel 👌🌄
It’s bringing back so many memories of Hue. It was one of the highlights of Vietnam, the pagodas were magnificent. Also a very atmospheric little town with a road full of great restaurants and bars. Thanks Carl for taking me back there!
I visited Vietnam in 2016 and visited many of the same places you did Karl. However, I didn't go north of Hue (between there and Hanoi). Really enjoying seeing places that are more off the beaten path for many tourists. Enjoying your videos very much and can't wait to visit there again. I had such a FUN trip and culturally unique experience in Vietnam. The people in VN are super friendly and hospitable. Being an American born between 1960-70 I was a bit hesitant about going there but I had ZERO issues with anyone there. Highly recommend Vietnam to anyone that is looking for a wonderful holiday.
I am Vietnamese-American, I appreciate your adventures in a beautiful country, my country. Thanks for sharing this video to the world. I have seen many videos of tourists from all over the world who visited Vietnam, but this video is the best.
I traveled to Vietnam about 2 years ago. Hoi An was by far my favorite place. Hotels were very cheap but great. I rented a motorbike for the day for literally $4 US. Great place. Great video.
I'm a Vietnamese myself and have been to most of those places and now I'm hooked to your vlogs like it's not even my country. Great work you are doing and I can't wait for the next episode.
The best travel docuseries I’ve watched in years have been on your channel on UA-cam.. i don’t see how travel channel, discovery, Netflix, hulu, or someone hasn’t caught on... I’d rather wait for more of your content than anything that’s available. Keep it up mate.
Had the opportunity to visit Vietnam in february & your videos really make me want to go back. It is absolutely one of my favourite countries in the world to visit.
This is by far the worst part of having to go back to work today. I could sit and watch it on my lunch break but I’m resisting temptation and waiting till I get home. I already know it’s going to be amazing anyway! Some things need to be watched on a big screen with a cold beer 👍
Yeah I suppose so mate. Not that it’ll do me much good when I can’t spend it on trips this year though! I think we’ll just be staying in Scotland this year and get a few decent weekends away up the west coast and just make up for it next year 👍
I was born in Vietnam just after the war and got adopted to Norway by Norwegian parents, and it's intersting to watch your videos from Vietnam because i wasn't adopted I would still be living in Vietnam.
Brilliant Karl, thanks! Phong Nha was on of my favorite places in Vietnam, Paradise Cave is the best cave I've ever been in. Been spending some time watching HK2NY and it's really fun to see how you've developed as a filmmaker. HK2NY is great but the production quality of your more recent stuff is really on a different level. Love it.

For any 1% that wants to stay, 99% of the population wants to get out, and many have risked their lives doing just that (for example, 39 doomed lives found in UK container truck recently on the news, and that's only what's been reported), unfortunately. Yet another shocking and also recent example is that during the Covid pandemic when almost all countries assisted their citizens with financial aids in one form or another, the corrupt and murderous Vietnamese Commie regime saw it just as another opportunity not to help but to exploit its ruled citizens even more, essentially making money over the corpses of its citizens by presumably killing at least 30-50K of them, due to grossly misdiagnoses and being thrown into barbwired unhygenic living quarters for isolation, so that they had to sleep on concrete floor, even next to filled trashcans, with inadequate toilet, food, water, or medicine, like animals (searching hard enough, one is able to see shocking video clips on Facebook though the regime tried hard to crack down the leaks by Vietnamese citizen journalists), with the fake nostril Covid test kits, mislabeled as approved by World Health Organization (WHO) in Việt Á scandal, colluded by at least 4 different government agencies (Y Tế , Khoa Học, Công Nghệ, Quân y) and the top Politburo members, including Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Phạm Minh Chính, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. Murderous Vietnamese Commie regime even had a thug murdered Christian pastor Giuse Trần Ngọc Thanh, like it has done with many other pastors across the nation. There is a reason why the current Commie Vietnam ranks at the bottom of the world in freedom of speech, (true) freedom of religion, and freedom of the press, barely above Commie China and Commie North Korea. There is no true freedom of religion in Commie Vietnam, as this corrupt Vietnamese Commie regime only authorized the fake organizations headed by Commie monks, many of whom were Commie Party officials, and those religious organizations not approved to be infiltrated by them or headed by their Commie agents are accused of malicious and nonexistent crimes and banned, with innocent religious leaders arrested and jailed, as in the recent case with Thiền Am Bên Bờ Vũ Trụ, a harmless Buddhist meditation monastery, for simply having many followers (hence, more influences that the regime fears it can't control) than the Commie Party's officially approved ones. Similarly, its passport ranks at the bottom, 89th out of 111 countries for a reason, barely above North Korea 104th rank. even below many African nations. For comparison, South Korea is at 2nd rank. That's what Republic of South Vietnam would have likely been ranked among at least the top 10 had it not been invaded and occupied by the North Vietnamese Commie terrorists, aided by Commie Soviet and Commie China. Search "cuop dat dan" (meaning "land-robbing of citizens") to see millions of footages across the country from North to South, spanning for decades, dated back to Ho Chi Minh's bloody land reform 1953-1956 that killed nearly 1 million North Vietnamese in only 4 years, or 250K people brutally slaughtered in torturous painful deaths (like being shot, stabbed, mutilated while being alive, or heads being plowed over by water buffaloes while bodies being buried underground) each year on average to rob their lands and homes. Even today, if the rightful owners refuse to have their homes or lands robbed, the ruthless Vietnamese Commie terrorist regime simply jail or massacre them, have tractors run over their bodies or openly assassinate them in their own homes. When it comes to robbing, these barbarian Vietnamese Commie bandits even prey on each other, just as the recent case with then 84-year-old Mr. Lê Đình Kình, a 55-year-Commie Party veteran from Dong Tam, near Hanoi, that got shot dead at 3am in his own home by the Vietnamese Commie terrorist regime. When his wife Mrs. Dư Thị Thành refused to lie about the incident as ordered, the Vietnamese Commie terrorist police brutally tortured her (see more details from "dandongtam" on Facebook). The corrupt Vietnamese Commie government officials routinely dine on lavish gold-plated Salt Bae steak $100K per meal with blood money not just from taxpayers but also from robbed-lands and robbed homes recently drew international condemnations, while many Vietnamese citizens, including elderlies in their 60's and 70's as well as kids as young as 6's to 16's selling lottery tickets on the streets to survive on $2-3 per day. Even Phạm Nhật Vượng the richest man in Vietnam (via his VinGroup) made the bulk of his wealth mainly by colluding with the barbarian Vietnamese Commie regime in selling their robbed-lands from Vietnamese citizens. Travelers to Vietnam in her current form (not at all like this before the Communists took over) should keep this in mind. Behind the beauty of the land and smiling faces at popular tourist destinations, there are a lot of darkness and tears, bloods, sweats, sorrow, horror, and sufferings all over the country.
This video edited better than a commercial feature film, i can imagine tiring hours of editing behind the scenes. Everything is top notch be it commentary, camera work, camera angles. Big Thumbs up Karl. You inspired me to visit Vietnam again. Cheers Mate keep bringing the good stuff like this. Subbed look forward to more of your work.
Ba Na Hills was an old french town that has been turned into a tourist attraction. To my knowledge, Ba Na hills was a place where the french used to use as their vacation homes during the summer. They specifically chose this location because of the climate that it has. It is much cooler than other parts of Vietnam. Nowadays it has been renovated for tourism purposes. And the Golden Bridge is totally brand new for tourism purposes lol, absolutely no historical context there.
I love how honest you are about the tours and touristy places etc. Feels like every other travelvlogger just says everything is amazing to convince themselves they had a good trip lmao.
I don't know if it's just me but this must have been my favourite video out of all you have done. You just got it right :) There's views, sights, commentary, adventure, fun time - all that you need in a travel film. I even watched the ads :) I also realise I missed some cool places like Phong Nha, but then you had more time. Can't wait for the next one.
This is by far the best series from you yet and probably my favourite episode so far. I've always heard good things about Vietnam but I've always been hesitant to go there for some strange reason - maybe the language barrier? But it looks like you didn't have any issues at all. And the food looks amazing too! Hai Van Pass looks phenomenal and reminds me of the Road to Hana in Maui. Must have been epic to ride along on a bike. Can't wait for the next episode! xx

Amazing, as always Karl. The caves look insane. Theme park/cable car place looks equally intriguing yet bonkers! 7 months till I go, will deffo be rewatching a few times before then :)
Fantastic to see, took me back to a Mekong Delta cycle trip and Hanoi to Hoi An road trip back in 2008. Looks like so much coastal development since then
Another great episode, it is making me knowing better Vietnam, just been to Hanoi and Nha Trang, much thanks..love how you talk and describe, and the epic music!
Best travel video I've watched so far. I'm Vmese and watching this makes me want to go home even more. I was travelling through the Hai Van Pass when it wasn't even a thing, man what a great journey. But you surely have explored Vietnam even more than me. Keep up the amazing work!
Great video! I went to Vietnam several years ago, but we only had time for Hanoi/Halong Bay and Saigon, so it's really interesting to see these other places we didn't get to. Edit: Phong Nha looks amazing, hadn't even heard of that place.
Viet Nam is a wonderful place. I am always delighted & amazed. It also reminds me how resilient are its people... and how horrible was the American war caused & led by the US industrial military complex. US aggression & imperialism must never be forgotten or forgiven.
thank you , i really appreciate it . your video is such amazing view , i have never thought that our country could be beautiful like it ,behalf of vietnamese i'm thankful for that very much
Thank you Karl! In lockdown this is what keeps me going haha looking forward to each episode. You do an awesome job, I keep forgetting this is youtube and not a mainstream TV documentary, really well done. Hoping to go to Vietnam end of December (wishful thinking but hope is powerful thing haha). Thanks again Karl!
Beyond amazing!! Epic in every way. Wow, wow, WOW! I loved all the caves, especially the Dark Cave...but I also really love the imperial palace or citadel area so much. I would have gone off on my own at sunset like you and just drink in the the quietness and serenity. The views throughout are just breathtakingly beautiful!
You manage to capture that epic backpacking sensation that cant realy be described in words! It just feels like were there with you. An amazing balance between a very professional informative documantary and like homevideo style. I love it Karl, keep it up!!
Vietnam is stunningly beautiful. A small country packed from top to bottom with gorgeous scenery. I couldn't wait for you to release your trip to VN Karl, but I am sad to think there is only more episode. Wonderful videos.
New subscriber here. Initially though " hmmm cute guy" but your videos are well thought and the way you tell ur story is amazing now its " cute guy that makes sense " . Im additing vinh moc on my list! ..... so happy
Karl,it's so incredible everything. Wonderful journey.I wish to do a trip like yours! Can't wait for the next episode! Thank you for taking us with you. I really had the feeling that i'm there!
Great job of this 3 part series. I was in Vietnam 1 1/2 years ago and went to many of the same places. A few I missed so it was great to see them in your videos. You are so talented! Thanks for the time and effort you put into these!
I am Vietnamese. I am grateful for the beautiful scenes to introduce Vietnam to the world. Food, people and a lot of variety in Vietnam if you stay in my country. Each region brings you many surprises that make you not far from our country and people, Vietnam
Done watching, that was awesome episode Karl. I really like it and the amazing views of mountains and modern cities of Vietnam. Thanks for the new video, stay safe. 😃
In Bana Hills, at the point where you went into the 'theme park' after the hands, and said, "Now what do we do?!?" That is the SAME exact point where me and my friends turned around and went back down too. lol. The cable car and the hands are the main point, for sure. It is a place for Chinese tourists.
I love all your videos and I am really gaining a lot from them for my upcoming trips. I wish you tried riding around son tra (monkey mountain) near da nang. Magical there. and even more so, If you went by motorbike from da nang west wards, past bana hills to prao, and took the west ho chi min highway up to phong nha, you would have had one of the most amazing experiences of your life. The jungle there is primal and endless and after some time it gives way to the landscapes of phong na. If you ever go back to Vietnam, don't miss out on it. Hard to get that kind of road anywhere else in Asia :)
Karl you one of my favorite youtuber i love you work man! You have helped me so much the last years through your traveling videos not to let go from this world because there is so much it has to offer!! You have inspired me thru the years to be my beast me and make so much money i can to travel around most of the world that's my life goal! I would love to go on a backpacking trip someday with my big brother. Thank you for everything you have done for me!!🙏🏻😁
Always enjoy your documentaries Karl, always an inspiration. Your editing is at a higher level than what could be expected from a youtube channel. Looking forward to next friday already and any adventures to come!
Great video! Reminds me off when i travelled the same route in Vietnam. I wish i had filmed it at the time. Anyway i love your content. And along with others you have definitely inspired me to spend time travelling and filming. Once we come out of lockdown!
Thanks for your video.I am a USA citizen.I have been in The USA for over 40 years , and haven’t gone back VN . I was born and grew up in South Viet Nam .🇺🇸
Hi Karl, I love all your videos. I am really surprised that you only have a little more than 100k subscribers. Your videos should be watched by millions!
Looking forward to this episode as I will be doing this route in May 2021 including doing a day trip to the weird and 'wonderful' Ba Na Hills. Thanks once again for this Vlog and the production level on them are Top Notch.
Karl Watson. Just watched this episode. I have booked the same Hue City tour that you did. Is it worth doing? How much did it cost you to book it in Hue?
I live in Da Nang city that is located not far away from Hoi An. I recently visited and sadly due to Covid-19, the town has less tourists, many shops could not hang on to the current situation. It's blessed to see your video like this in 2020. I kinda miss it.

Hoi An was by far my favorite little city in Vietnam I would definitely visit again.
Chris Brown Welcome back!!!
2 places where I can feel chill in Vietnam are Hoi An and Da Lat
Looks like the amount of tourists really gone up compared to 10 years ago.

Danang and Hoi An, are places I have to explore. So Vietnam is really worth revisited, even if I’ve been there 7 times.

what attracts me most is the friendliness of Vietnamese people. the way they smile in front of the camera really makes my heart melt

Vietnam is forever in my heart. My best travel experience. Thank you for this amazing video.

Behind the beauty of the land and smiling faces at popular tourist destinations, there are a lot of darkness and tears, bloods, sweats, sorrow, horror, and sufferings all over the country.
easily the best travel doc UA-camr out here rn love how you just keep everything so real
Thanks very much 😊
This video edited better than a commercial feature film, i can imagine tiring hours of editing behind the scenes. Everything is top notch be it commentary, camera work, camera angles. Big Thumbs up Karl. You inspired me to visit Vietnam again. Cheers Mate keep bringing the good stuff like this. Subbed look forward to more of your work.
Thanks very much :)
Welcome to Bana Hills
They ruined it for sure. Super Tacky
Can I just say I'm hooked. You're the best travel documentary I've ever watched. Looking forward to watching your back catalogue and planning trips x
Paradise Cave....speechless. Thanks for showing us this part of the world.
Thanks for watching 😊
I love how honest you are about the tours and touristy places etc. Feels like every other travelvlogger just says everything is amazing to convince themselves they had a good trip lmao.
I don't know if it's just me but this must have been my favourite video out of all you have done. You just got it right :) There's views, sights, commentary, adventure, fun time - all that you need in a travel film. I even watched the ads :)
I also realise I missed some cool places like Phong Nha, but then you had more time.
Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks very much! Really appreciate it :)
He's my favorite. Seems to genuinely want to show us the real story without the usual bragging, excessive selfies, or hiding the negatives.
i am vietnamese . i am learning english when i watch video review vietnam i feel so happy
Can't wait for the next episode! xx
Thanks very much Jen. Yeah no problem with language barrier at all 😊
You will not be disappointed when you come to Vietnam
As long as Vietnam is still ruled by the oppressive and exploitive Communist regime, her potential remains greatly diminished. Best travel video I've watched so far. I'm Vmese and watching this makes me want to go home even more. I was travelling through the Hai Van Pass when it wasn't even a thing, man what a great journey. But you surely have explored Vietnam even more than me. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks very much 😊
Great video! I went to Vietnam several years ago, but we only had time for Hanoi/Halong Bay and Saigon, so it's really interesting to see these other places we didn't get to. Edit: Phong Nha looks amazing, hadn't even heard of that place.
Phong Nha Cave, a natural heritage recognized by UNESCO
Great video ,many thanks .Vietnam 🇻🇳 super awesome to be I was in Da Nang in 2018 about 11 months. Warm greetings from beautiful Hawaii islands 🏝
Having been living in Vietnam for 18 years, me now lying on the bed and watching a foreigner video to explore my own country.
omg same
Wow 18 years where are you from?
@@andrewelam1612 VietNam
cũng như em vậy :D
Viet Nam is a wonderful place. I am always delighted & amazed. It also reminds me how resilient are its people... and how horrible was the American war caused & led by the US industrial military complex. US aggression & imperialism must never be forgotten or forgiven.
thank you , i really appreciate it . your video is such amazing view , i have never thought that our country could be beautiful like it ,behalf of vietnamese i'm thankful for that very much
Welcome to Bana Hills 🇻🇳
This is great man. I could watch you tour Asia...all day.

Wow. It's so beautiful, Vietnam. Thank you
Welcome to Bana Hills 🇻🇳

Thanks very much :)
Cheers James, hopefully you'll be able to get there in December
Really appreciate your honest takeaways on everything. You don't try to just edit your best video and talk about how perfect everything is.
Can’t stand videos like that 😊
Best travel vedio ever! It both real and fancy at the same time, portray the best and the distinctive!
Thanks very much 😊
Beyond amazing!!
Thanks very much Dani :)

Thank you for coming to Vietnam and promoting Hoi An Vietnam
Nice video, I'm VietNamese, but this video is very, very beautiful & very practical!Vietnamese are very friendly! Welcome to VietNam!
What an amazingly engaging storytelling. Loved it.
12:48 A trip to Vietnam isn't complete unless you catch crabs. 🦀🦀🦀
Technically I didn't catch any ;)
Wait what sort of crabs are we talking about
Have you tried yet ? 😄
A variety of crabs in Vietnam waters such as king crabs, dynasty crabs, rock crabs, mud crabs, so on.
I love Vietnam.
A lovely country and the people are friendly.
Thank you for sharing your adventures in Vietnam. It makes me want to visit Vetnam 😍
Finaly i found a best ever travel guide in UA-cam. Your guide so amazing, it should be a movie instead just youtube video
Dude, when are you gonna get hired by Netflix or something ? your stuff is so good, but sadly lost in the myriad of youtube channels
Hopefully soon! ;)
UA-cam lets him keep his freedom to do it how he wants to do it
Michael Shay true. I wouldn’t do a tv show unless I could do it my way
How is something with a million views "sadly lost". Hell if a million views is sadly lost, sign me up, I want to start a neglected channel like that!
@@karlwatsondocs Come back to the Philippines ❤ the time is now, we will kick it. Trust me, its changed, its banging. 🇵🇭

Amazing Vietnam.l know only Vietnam war.but now become land of travel.your video is very good.
Done watching, that was awesome episode Karl. I really like it and the amazing views of mountains and modern cities of Vietnam. Thanks for the new video, stay safe. 😃
Thanks very much!
In Bana Hills, at the point where you went into the 'theme park' after the hands, and said, "Now what do we do?!?" That is the SAME exact point where me and my friends turned around and went back down too. lol.
The cable car and the hands are the main point, for sure. It is a place for Chinese tourists.
In VN we dont say “ Chinese new year “ . It should be Lunar New Year
Anyway your video is awesome and fun to watch
Thank you
I love all your videos and I am really gaining a lot from them for my upcoming trips.
Dan is the man! will miss seeing him! what a lad

Thanks very much 😊
Looking forward to this episode as I will be doing this route in May 2021 including doing a day trip to the weird and 'wonderful' Ba Na Hills.
Thanks once again for this Vlog and the production level on them are Top Notch.
Cheers appreciate it 😊👍
Karl Watson.
