I think the best place to look for anime tropes to draw from in film would be Hong Kong Cinema. Shaw Brothers, Golden Harvest... All those guys. Especially Wuxia films. That's were Shonen gets most of it's influence from thanks to manga like Dragon Ball and Fist Of The North Star.
Some of it yea. Which I can kinda agree on certain things not being made to translate over from one another. But I also think ppl just look at live action adaptations in general with hate and don't want to see it succeed by default so.. At least that's how it's been for a while until one piece kinda changed that a little.
