The paradox with the friend zone is that it's not real. If she gives a guy the "lets just be friends speech" it means she just wants him as an orbiter and not a friend. The moment a friendzoned guy wants to meet up for lunch he will be swiftly rejected because she only wants him as someone she can call on for validation if she's feeling down about herself. If she messages the orbiter and he replies then it tells her he's still interested and communicates that she's still desired by someone and that's all she wants. She will then proceed to end the conversation.

Friendzone just means she isn't interested in the guy romantically OR as a friend but will keep his number just in case she starts to develop self esteem issues. If she's having doubts about her own worthiness she'll drop him a message and see what happens. If he replies she knows he's interested in her which in turn will "scratch the itch" for validation. Once this is achieved she will feel no desire to continue the conversation since she was never interested in the guy for anything at all. Friendship will not work because she knows he wants more so will not feel safe around him.

Holy crap talk about an effect video. My best friend (we were best friends for 18 years up to that point) passed away suddenly in late september. I've totally let her friendzone me, and I went along with it, and was fine and happy. Why ? We hooked up about 3-4 times a week, had wonderful dates every single time. But she ended up dumping me for dumb shit reasons (I quickly figured out it was because another guy was in the picture). The girl tried to friendzone me, and was really clever doing it: Took me from 4-5 different angles, different scenarios to try and make me cave to it. I said that if she doesn't want sex & romance with me anymore, I'm gonna walk. And I did. I told her I can't be friends with someone I have deep feelings for, and that I really wish her well, that I love her, and wanted the best for her, and if it doesn't work out with the other guy, to let me know. I heard through the grapevine, a few months later, that she was still with the guy. I'm genuinely happy for her, she has a heart of gold and she deserves the absolute best.
