It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world, in my humble opinion. Wilmington (and the connecting beach towns) touches my soul. You and he will absolutely love it.
I'm a southern Ontario boy who often came to Wilmington on summer family holidays and I still love the place like my second home. It's a fantastic place.
I got to know this place upon viewing the movies like A Walk to Remember, I know What You Did Last Summer, and Iron Man 3 and also TV series like Dawson's Creek. I'm really looking forward to visit Wilmington when I visit US this year. It's like a paradise, an ideal place to live in. By the way, it's already written in my bucket list.
I grew up in Wilmington as a child till I was a teenager, then I ended up in Michigan (south east area). after I got old enough to move out, I moved to Wilmington, N.C which only lasted a year, but I loved that year there. then in 2012 I tried again, but only lasted 3 months. I will continue to try and escape from Michigan to North Carolina as long as it takes, cause I miss my home and the wonderful people.
the one thing i love about Wilmington is that its a very nice and settle place for someone to live. i have been here all my life and i just love it here. The beaches are amazing to go to in the summer and all the places to visit is out standing i love it here and i am sure if anyone has never been here they would love it!
We love the diversity of Wilmington. No matter where you are in New Hanover County, you're always minutes from the charming Historic District, the nearby beach communities, and the outlying country - there's always plenty to do.
Wilmington is such a beautiful place to live. I visit family there ever since they moved down there, and I plan on going to college down there. I look forward to living there once I'm done with schooling in PA.
I really love Wilmington! I planned on doing a lot of traveling and then I found a new home here by D.R. Horton and I just bought it, So I am just going to stay. I feel so at peace over my decision to stay. Wilmington NC is a wonderful place to call home.
Muriel Perez not expensive but mainly service industry jobs not much above minimum wage, check indeed jobs and you’ll see theres not much, but if you work to live then it may be worth it
is this a good place to live for someone young, thinking about going to college in the area? I already live in a small town, and have to travel hours to get to a mall, or at least 4 hours to get to a concert with a well known artist. Just doesn't seem like theres much happening in my town...was wondering if Wilmington is different?
Jessica Smalley I moved from NY to Wilmington, NC in Dec 2015. I was very surprised how much NC people hate New Yorkers. It's funny cause I've lived most of my life in Colorado and loved it but, unfortunately I got very ill and had to move. Dr's recommended CA. Then a family emergency came up and NY bound from Long Beach, CA. So bottom line it's very closed minded here in Wilmington but people are nice when you can get them to talk but they still keep to them selves. I got my apartment on line and the management at Osprey Landing was so helpful and warm so I was really looking forward to my new home. Unfortunately they fired all the girls in the office after I arrived and hired 2 guy's that have no clue about customer service! I've spoken to several tenants and most of them have moved out because of new management and fee's! So now I'm hunting for a new home when my lease is up. Be careful people when coming to Wilmington, NC so much crime and fake smiles. Nice people are here they just have their guard up big time! Stay positive and you will meet good people here eventually.
Please don’t listen to the person who says there is a lot of crime in Wilmington. That’s laughable. They said they’re from New York..lol. They also said we don’t like people from NY in Wilmington which is silly as well. There’s just a lot of people who move from up north into Wilmington. It’s kind of an inside joke among people who are from the area, but we mean no harm. There is a lot to do in Wilmington especially for a young person. It’s a great place to live. I have grown up here.
@@brandonbrisson7247 naw buddy it aint bigger than Fayetteville. Fayetteville is over 200,000 in population city proper, over 300,000 MSA population and over 140 square miles in land area. Nice try though lol. As far as entertainment goes, Yes, Wilmington has Fayetteville beat. Soooo much more stuff to do in Wilmington.
It's really tough. I've lived here for 28 years now- it used to be a little hidden gem and the cost of living was so cheap compared to ...most places! I mean $300.00 a month cheap in 1995. At the beach in the winter too! It was glorious. It is so expensive now! $1,200- $1,600 a month starters. I'd never be able to stay here if I wasn't married- and he's on disability now too! It's sad. The City has been developed wildly and it's an invasion of people that keeps coming.
Do not be out after dark in most areas. Historically, Wilmington has been a rough place since colonial times and not much has changed. These videos never give the entire situation. As to the film industry, rewards are overrated....
was interested then i saw the history of how lands were aquired by killing off families of African Decent and seizing their lands, monies and assets. Thats Evil ...now ure advertising thngs that don't belong to you shameless

I live in Wilmington nc, and my favorite place is the beach 🏝, I really love the beach 🏝.
Wilmington is not on the beach. You have to drive to another town. A beach town.

I recommend the homeless shelter called the Good Shepherd. It's a very delightful place to live and volunteer
One Tree Hill and Dawson's Creek! This place is beautiful but is it a good place to live? Strong economy? Diverse culturally? Good quality of life?

Wilmington has a Mall, A College(UNCW), it has 5 beaches in the same county(New Hanover CO). It's also a bigger city then Fayettville

Yankees come on down, we got drugs, shootings, poor roads, unaffordable housing, you'll love it!
What about cost of living for low income?
