Man great videos, I was a marine stationed in Jacksonville. I would visit Wilmington all the time. I miss the scenery there and also The “slice of life” pizza joint downtown. 👍
Over all i would say the city is not really set up well for bikability....the exception is there are a few very large bike trails that go across the city such as the Gary Shell Cross City Bike trail that connects Wrightsville Beach to the historic downtown from east to west.
Looking at some real estate sites (both rental and buying) and surprisingly there is not much availability near downtown at all. Coming from DC region(and getting completely priced out there) I thought maybe I would have a leg-up in Wilmington but that doesn’t appear to be the case. What would be other top areas nearby for a 30 year old couple?
I would say overall Wilmington is not as religious as other parts of the Bible Belt due to the fact it’s a lot of transplants from everywhere here. However we do still have some laws on the books that sundays such as alcohol sales etc
We love and visit often!
Great little downtown!
My wife and I are thinking of moving out of Wilmington DE area to a more affordable area. And we are liking what we see with Wilmington NC area.
Reach out with any questions, we helped a couple last year make the same move!

Thank you, Slice of Life is a great spot for sure!
I would love to see a driving tour of Market Street. Lived in Wilmington back in the early 80s and went to New Hanover High School.
I will put that on our list!
I hope people moving from California don't try to recreate California where ever they live.
I can't speak for all Californians moving out of state....but my family welcomed a different life style with open arms!
Really beautiful town / we just came back to Atlanta PARKING is AWFUL
It is really easy to get used to a smaller town!
How is it for bikability and bike safety?

What is the nicest hotel to stay in Wilmington?

Looks like a super nice area. Is it super religious tho? Being it's in Bible belt
