I agree. Thats the problem when you have actors that portray a character so iconically. The boots become to big to fill in the "reboots" (ha XD) nobody will ever compare. Which is a big reason why so many reboots fail to live up to nostalgia.

He uses it like it's weightless and the way he operates guns is always a pleasure to watch. The line: "Blade.. Ready to die?" has sunk so deep in my mind, I'll probably think of it in my deathbed.
Marvel/Disney did confirm Deadpool will be R rated when the 3rd comes out and teased Ryan Reynolds remaining the character. So I see hope for an R rated Blade

The first two blade films were rated R, that is one of the reasons why Blade Trinity seemed to drop the ball a bit, it had a PG-13 rating, as to try and get more people in the seats at theaters.

I really hope the new Blade film still has Wesley Snipes in it, even a just the new Whistler. They did specify that Blade still ages like a human. Either way I really feel like Blade (1998) has been massively underrated! It did most of the heavy lifting for The Matrix which is considered a cultural landmark in film. Dream film team up that the MCU probably can't make.. Dr. Strange, Blade, Ghost Rider, Spawn, and Hellboy.

When I was in elementary, I found Blade the first film at my friends house, borrowed it and absolutely loved it. I have to say if it wasn’t for Blade and Spider-Man I would not have been a huge comic fan I am today. Also I am scared for the newest Blade movie because Disney might kill it. (And not in a good way hah) blade is bloody, if it is not rated R then I’m out
My opinion: we didn’t ask for a blade remake nor did we want it or need it and if they should remake it recast Westley Snipes, he’s become so iconic to the character that he pretty much writes the movie with his own performance.

This is my concern too. I don't want Disney to tone Blade down. No one will ever replace Wesley Snipes but Ali is a good actor. With the right training and script, he can make that role his. I do hope though that Snipes is involved in some form or another.

I think it was a bit unfair from him to say that because the tv show was actually pretty good and Sticky Fingaz did heis own interpretation of the character which was also pretty solid.
I loved the first and second films in this series, but third one was not well received as Wesley Snipes and Director David Goyer did not like each other at all, and they only communicated through sticky notes.

Whistler wasn't created for the film . He was in the comics but completely different from Kristopherson's version. He was in a team comprised of Blade, Ghost rider & Johnny Blaze called The Midnight sons, at one point.

His first appearance in a comic can be found in the comic book movie adaption of the Blade II movie, but his face is also seen on 2 covers of the MAX imprint Blade comic from Marvel Comics.
I I have never seen this new guy myself although apparently he did an awesome job in Aletta. Which I still have to see. That being said I wish they could have brought Wesley Snipes back for one more movie. But I am looking forward to the new blade movie.

It's a series of series called Marvel Anime, they all came out a few years ago, less than 10 years ago IIRC, they did Wolverine, X-Men, Blade and Iron Man. also as far as blades powers, i read that he also still carries the vampire virus and can still turn victims into (full) vampires, which i believe was expanded upon in the blade the series show, because a street gang he grew up with kidnapped him and wanted him dead because blade turned all of them, which also revealed where his tattoos came from as well
You mean two violent people who are relatively specialised in their own agenda should have been involved with cosmic threats? They wouldn't have fitted in the established MCU. Comics...maybe but the Punishes is a lone wolf kind of guy and Blade also does not belong to the regular roster... furthermore they would have to introduce vampires first or along the way. So no. It is good that they were not in any avengers movie so far.

Snipes had the physicality and martial arts background that brought everything together. Also, I hope there's at least one rave scene in the new movie.

You mean two violent people who are relatively specialised in their own agenda should have been involved with cosmic threats? They wouldn't have fitted in the established MCU. Comics...maybe but the Punishes is a lone wolf kind of guy and Blade also does not belong to the regular roster... furthermore they would have to introduce vampires first or along the way. So no. It is good that they were not in any avengers movie so far.
And with violent I mean that an adequate portrayal would be hard for the big screen as mentioned in the video..
