I graduated from Chilhowie High School many years ago. Later, I was a Band Director at NHS in Saltville. The Apple Festival in Chilhowie was a big event, so every September I loaded the students on busses to go march in the Apple Festival Parade. We began the parade on the west end of town and marched to the High School. As the director walks along the side of the band, I made every step. On one of those parades, I walked in front of a man who had comfortably placed his lawn chair, sitting on the foremost edge of the parade route. He was wearing a 'cowboy' hat that didn't hide his light hair. He was smiling as his folded hands revealed big bling. I thought to myself ' where have I seen this guy ? ' - - I was once a fan of professional wrestling also. It was Buddy Landell.
Shane Simmons, you're a great talker - I'm not taking nothin' away from ya, brother - but you're no Buddy Landel. Officially my favorite RA video! RIP Buddy. Good job, Shane!
The hardee's used to be a gas station my grandfather ran and operated and my dad would drive his go-kart in the parking lot. My grandfather was Ken Graham and lived in White top
Totally stumbled upon your video and loved it! We’re from Pennsylvania but spent summers in Chilhowie visiting family. So many memories as you were driving around, actually met Buddy Landell there in Chilhowie and was such a nice guy. Thanks again!

Great video Shane. Keep them coming and F the trolls. There are a few assholes out there that aren't happy unless they make you miserable. Don't let them win buddy. Positive vibes coming your way!!
You probably wouldn't have enjoyed working with people who didn't have a sense of humor anyway. I learned that lesson once or twice myself and I am better for it.
The officer was my cousin distant cousin but still blood my family is the Duncans and porters they moved to Illinois Sterling Illinois for the steel mill.

I loved Buddy! He was one of the funniest wrestlers of all time. He has some great shoot videos on UA-cam.
Oh yes, he was truly one of a kind
Used to live here when I was very small in a trailer park called “tiny town”.
I grew up in the sub-division right up the road from there. Three houses down from the apartments.
I'm Buddy's daughter.. I love hearing these stories.. thanks
Glad you enjoyed it, he brought a lot of happiness to me as a kid

When I was much younger my friends and I would go to the Coliseum to see wrestling! We loved it! Rick Flare, Tony Atlas and Ricky Steamboat. 😂
I loved all 3 of those guys. Tony Atlas came to Richlands some and I saw Ric Flair in Bristol. Don't think I ever got to see Ricky Steamboat
love watching people explore where I live
It's a great town
