yoongi stated that if anyone feels offended by his songs, that's on them because he never directly addressed anyone specifically and honestly, I LIVE FOR IT LMAO ON TWITTER STANS WERE GETTING MAD BC THEY THOUGHT THEIR IDOLS WERE BEING INSULTED
Agust D literally got me into BTS lmao. When I randomly found 'Give it to me' and some other tracks of him I thought 'bruh this is pretty good and the beat sounds dope asf'. I discovered BTS after that.
And for the song "people" yoongi talks about how he is envious of us who live a normal life, and can go about doing what they want without being chased and constantly watch. He says what we find extraordinary is normal to him, and what he finds extraordinary is normal to us. We may all want to live in the lime light but when it comes back to it, we just all want to be normal and live comfortably without constant fear and worry about what might happen in our lives.
Mok ? I definitely cried, ive never lost a serious relationship with a friend before but i just sympathized with him so much and the emotional beat and singing just gets me so bad
when I first heard Dear My Friend, I haven't really read the lyrics by then but I was tearing up. the first time I heard it, idk why but it reminded me of was yoongi's solo, First love. guess it's because both songs gave me waves of emotion even without knowing the meaning and when I got to learn the translation, it made me cry so bad. the emotion was too much

11:47 Suga stays up at night, producing songs. When BTS goes on vacation, he’s usually would choose to stay in his hotel room producing songs or sleeping in then going out with the boys. He writes one song a Day. Even RM says he’s impressed by Suga’s hard work. 14:58 that’s one of BH’s producer, Adora. If you haven’t listened closely to many of their songs. She sings backup vocals to a lot of their songs such as Euphoria, Serendipity, Brand New Day, Home, Scenery, Just Dance, Love, Tonight and Seesaw. She’s literally BTS’s 8th member 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 15:50 Honsool means to drink alone. Suga actually was working on this song during their Burn the Stage episodes. There’s a few clips of his music in there.
If you’re gonna end up doing a lyric breakdown, I’d recommend reading the English translations from Genius. A lot of the lyric video channels end up rushing to get the product out to meet the demand of the audience and end up mistranslating or not looking deeply enough into the wordplay. Plus Genius always outlines various references in the artist’s lyrics (which I love). (no hate to them btw, just something I noticed and is likely just a consequence of trying to get a video up as quickly as possible)
I wonder who his friend was. That sounds like it became a tough friendship. That hit me deep as I had lost a few friends along the way and I love them but hate them because they're not the same anymore. So many of these songs hit hard.
I saw on twitter that it was his old friend from Daegu who is now in jail, the song was about him talkimg to said friend. [Btw the other part of my name is my twitter @]
Here are the English lyrics. I listened to the album and it was super amazing and I was shocked with how many collaboration suga had and the fact that he collaborate with RM too is great, and his voice when he sing is woowww, multitalented boy, I'm still shocked
1- yoongi is such a liar, his vocals kills me every time! 2- all his songs is incredible, this album doesn't have any b side track that is like so so, every single one of these tracks is a BOP. Period 3- lyrics OMG. On point! You need check out! 4- All the people that is featured on this album worked so well with yoongi! I'm so happy that August d is back! I'm so proud of Yoongi, he deserves the world! I listen many time the album, but on your video I could hear Max little runs when Yoongi is singing Burn it. WoW I get why Yoongi choose him! Thanks for the reaction. Sorry English is not my first language!

The whole album screams fire and world domination. 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️ I been listening non stop since it came out and this morning. Now on the bring when I got the notification from your video and I have to watch this. ❤️🥰 Also additional, I still haven’t choose a favorite track because I love all. Like the wise words from Jimin: “ I love all.”
Simply amazing and couldn’t have debuted at a better time!!!!!! Being able to quarantine and to listen from beginning to end without interruptions. The variety of themes, production and musical talent is beyond great and utterly indescribable!! My heart is melting and my eyes are teary. Such a beautiful compilation.
This is a perfect example of how music transcends through language barriers and different cultures. You don’t need to be anything or have anything to truly appreciate music as it is. LOVEEE THIS CHANNEL💜💜💜💜
💯❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥AUGUST D!!! Did not disappoint my guy. This was everything that I wanted in a hip hop album. He is the KING!! My bias wrecker for a reason!! THANK YOU soooooo much for giving us a bit of your reaction. Peace🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤💯
Am I the only one noticing that Honsool was actually produced during the Wings tour? I forgot which episode but there's a clip from Burn the Stage when Jin asked Suga to work out in the hotel he was making the demo of this song in his room!!!
Agree if this is not the muxtape of the year I am a horse wearing clothes. And if a song between burn it and Dear my friend is not collab of the year then... I'M NOT EVEN LIVING
Love them all...."Dear My Friend" however hit different when you're reading the lyrics. You can feel a type of personal pain and passion and that made me emotionally drawn to the track. But it's really hard ,as usual to just lock in on 1 track!! Today this one has my whole heart 💔💜😭🥰
It’s an amazing album. I seriously adored each track, and feel something’s missing when I don’t listen to the whole album in order. And the lyrics..oh my, take all songs to the next level 👌🏻
Every song I was like 'THIS one is my favourite!' but honestly the whole mixtape is incredible. The lyrics to 'Dear My Friend' almost had me crying. Daechwita, the song and MV had me jumping out of my seat. I loved it all lol.
amazing video, i love seeing hype for yoongi!!!! set me free is the definition of one of my playlists: alone on a dark windy beach - the vibes are immaculate and VOCALS????? ridiculous
The music production with his raps and flow is dope. My favorite songs are Moonlight (has a really cool message), Daechwita & What Do You Think (beats are fire) and Strange (also crazy good). When you take a look/listen to the lyric translations of each track, you will see how hard Agust D be rapping facts and spitting bars.
my favorites are daechwita, people and dear my friend (cried because of dear my friend many times already). the lyrics are so damn good in every song!! i love how honest agust d always is and like you i also feel like yoongi must be so proud of this project. truly a masterpiece and he did most of the work himself.
i will meditate with set me free and be only with my soul this reaction of D-2 is one of my fav i always comeback to you love how you appreciate his music LOVE YOU MIN YOONGI AKA SUGA AKA AGUST D -boy am proud of you ever since you dropped the ALBUM W/C I LIST TO TILL THIS DAY LOOOOOOOOVE YOOOOOOU
Please listen this album with lyrics again😭😭 You know that the agust d is crazy at lyric writing, and this album’s lyric is insane!!! Especially ‘dear my friend’ is similar with ‘the last’ . So please listen these songs with lyrics.
Dude, I love your facial reactions when it touches your soul. I definitely understand because I was at Panera this morning sitting in my car and the guy came out twice wanting to know my order and I had to admit that I didn't order cuz I was watching August D video premier. I sat for 25 minutes watching the video then your reaction.
honsool is actually about being drunk alone and he's like telling the truth about how he feels being a 'superstar' under that condition and that heavy voice represents the way people talk when they are drunk also, the singing part, where he sings that he thinks like he's flying also represents the feels you get in that state the song is very powerful, it's my favorite on the mixtape
I somehow feel so anxious listening to that and I remember him saying in a Vlive this song is made to let ppl feel uneasy and weird. And it succeeded in that in my opinion. Love it thou
"I think I like this more than..." I know what you were gonna say and I thought the same. lol But we have to take in consideration they are very different genres, plus a group is a different creature from a soloist. Still, for me, definitely the best album of the year so far, even above The Weeknd's After Lights, because the lyrics hit closer to home for me. Thanks for the reaction Bris.
The songs that were love at 1st listen for me were "Moonlight", "Daechwita", "28", "Burn It", "People" & "Interlude: Set Me Free". And this was before I even started taking a deep dive into any of the lyrics. Actually, "Interlude: Set Me Free" for some reason reminds me of the kind of dreamy atmospheric instrumental interludes and songs that Duran Duran used to have, like "Tiger Tiger" and "Grey Lady Of The Sea"... the kind of music that takes you to this whole other place, and makes you zone out and get lost in it... the kind of music that makes you feel as if you're taking this long lonely drive along this coastal road by the ocean as the sky turns grey with dark clouds looming overhead, you feel so fresh and free, and yet there's also a kind of beautiful sadness to it too... do you know what I mean? I think it's just really beautiful to listen to.
There are truly no skips on this mixtape. I love every song and that's such a rare thing for me. It flows so well too, like every song is in the right place
My analysis for Deachwita's song "For Me" 👑: There are two concepts for me. But I will put two things: First .- Daechwita is a type of traditional Korean music that consists of military music that plays percussion and wind musical instruments, and is usually played while walking. Tools used on the machine include nabal, nagak, and taepyeongso, with jing machine, jabara, and yonggo. King Jeongjong King of Joseon Dynasty (1357-1419) named at birth Yi Bang Goa who changed to Yi Jeong. The second king of Joseon from 1398 to 1400. The second son of the king and founder King Taegu, born in 1357 as (Yi Bang Goa), was Wise, generous, brave, and a mighty military officer. During the last days of Goryeo, he joined his father and fought with him on the battlefronts, and when his father became king in 1392 he became a prince. The king had two wives, the first of whom gave birth to six of his sons and died before he was crowned Yi Seong -Jay as king. King Taegu married another woman who gave birth to him two sons, and King Taegu preferred his youngest son who was from his second wife Second • - King Taegu, "represented by longing in yellow hair", ruled from 1392 to 1398. The first concept: is that longing with black hair is the brother of King "Taegu" whom his father preferred Taegu to him and his goal in the amphi is to overthrow the rule of his brother King "Taegu" because he was unjust. In the end we see that King Taegu arrested his brother but we do not know that May he be freed or killed in the end. The second concept: It is said, according to some analyzes, that the song "Deachwita" has to do with the shadow and the song "shadow" when it is said that the longing or the king "Taegu" is the shadow and longing or "the brother of King Taejo" is the longing of the idol. Someone knows that he wanted to kill him or liberate him, and we do not know that longing could kill the shadow or not ؟؟ .. ?? Information: The Amphi filming site is an old prison in the "Desjun" strain and has appeared in many Korean dramas such as: The flower I prison 💐 ...
Thanks for going over all the songs. I feel like suga made me a bts fan on accident. I listened to this album without knowing who he was and I still can't pick a favorite song. Always end up listening to the whole album at once. You should think about doing the same with H1GHR Red Tape album.
The only thing that makes this masterpiece of an album even better.... is listening with the lyrics. They are mind-blowing... especially for STRANGE and DEAR MY FRIEND. Strange will kill you with the goosebumps and DEAR MY FRIEND will have you in tears.
honsool means drinking alone. hon is usually combined w/ other words in korean slang n the original word is written as 'honja' which means "alone" and sool is 'alcohol' if this helps!
This album deserves its own Daesang, Grammy, Billboards, Top Charts... Yes, I'm serious. There's no song here that was less atracttive than others. I did the same as Bris yesterday and it was worth it. Just masterpiece
Loved your reaction!! You became a sweeter you as you went through it :3 Suga is, as we all know/a genius, and I think he found his center. His heart has healed through these last years :3 Yes, so proud of him...and BTS. How amazing we get to witness their extraordinary hearts and talents! And behind/beside them... Big Hit... Bang PD...
"dear my friend" is a song about an ex friend of yoongi, this friend went to prison for drug addiction, yoongi visited him every week, even though the trip was 3 hours long, when his friend went out of prison, yoongi went to see him again. his friend asked him 'do you want to try **?' which i'm assuming was a drug. at that moment yoongi realized his friend wasn't the same anymore, got angry and shouted at him for offering him drugs, even after being in prison and going through hell because of it. yoongi asks himself what would have happened if he had stopped his friend that day, before his friend tried drugs. they aren't friend anymore, and even though yoongi hates him, he still misses him, so this isn't a song about how he hates him it's more about him looking back on the memories he had with his friend. for me it's the saddest song in the mixtape.
My favorite song was Burn it. It was fire 🔥 and I really like MAX vocal on there. I also like Dear my friend a lot. Love your reaction and please do a lyrics reaction to the songs on the album.
OKAY but let’s talk about Yoongi’s vocals on Set Me Free 😭😩
Honestly 😭

Kim Jong Wan:
Until now still I'm missing you and missing you
Untill now still the memories of us together linger around me
Perhaps if I’d grabbed you back then, No, if I’d stopped you back then
Until now still would we be friends, how would it have been
Agust D:
Dear my friend, how are you doing, I’m, well, doing fine as you know. yeah
Dear my friend, I’ll be honest with you, I still fucking hate you
I still remember the days we were together
Our time that we went to Daegu together
Many days that we’ve said that the world doesn’t scare us if two of us are together
Us who’ve said that walk two completely different paths now, damn
Do you remember that time? Think it was in Sinsa
The conversation we had over soju
Our aspiration that we will chew up the world
We who had enormous dreams were young, only 20 years old (18 or 19 in international age)
The sudden loss of contact
After a long time, a call from your parents from an unknown number
At that one short phone call I Immediately rushed to you
Detention center in Seoul, Anyang was too far
Kim Jong Wan:
Until now still I'm missing you and missing you
Untill now still the memories of us together linger around me
Perhaps if I’d grabbed you back then, No, if I’d stopped you back then
Until now still would we be friends, how would it have been
Agust D:
Did you change or did I change, uh
I hate even the passing time, guess we changed
Hey, I hate you. Hey, I resent you. Hey, even at this moment I’m saying this, I miss you
The road to Seoul detention center to visit every week
I set for the long journey that took three hours to and fro alone
The day of your trial and the day of your release
The day the snow fell heavily, I remember the white tofu (you give tofu to people who have just been released from prison, in Korean)
And you who I’ve finally met after a long time has become a completely different person
Eyes unfocused, you asked me if I wanted to try ****
I got mad and cursed again
There was no way to bring you, who was my only friend, back, and you’ve become a monster.
The you I use to know is gone and the man who you use to know is gone
I know that the reason we’ve changed is not only due to time
The me you used to know is gone and the you I use to know is gone
The reason we’ve changed is not only due to time, how futile
Kim Jong Wan:
Until now still I'm missing you and missing you

Perhaps if I’d grabbed you back then, No, if I’d stopped you back then
Until now still would we been friends, how would it have been

If there’s a concert... I need to go. There’s no way I’m dying without seeing these songs get preformed
Jae 101 unfortunately they never perform any songs from their mixtapes
Less than 15 seconds in and you're already a mood😂

1- yoongi is such a liar, his vocals kills me every time!
2- all his songs is incredible, this album doesn't have any b side track that is like so so, every single one of these tracks is a BOP. Period
3- lyrics OMG.
Yes Yoongi really chose his collab really well. They all fit the song and his voice sooooo well!
The female vocal behind yoongi's songs are sang by adora.( She is one of the main producers of Big Hit)
I love her I wish she would do her own stuff on the side. She has an amazing voice...like Trivia: Seesaw...that song😭
@@ManifestOptimism i saw some clips of adora's busking on the street.I think you can find on youtube. Her voice is amazing.

i love adora. she’s on so many songs shes basically the 8th member 😂
The whole album screams fire and world domination. 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️ I been listening non stop since it came out and this morning. Now on the bring when I got the notification from your video and I have to watch this. ❤️🥰
Also additional, I still haven’t choose a favorite track because I love all.
Yoongi bringing out his vocals more in this album.
Strange is my spirit song.
MINE TO!
This is a perfect example of how music transcends through language barriers and different cultures. You don’t need to be anything or have anything to truly appreciate music as it is. LOVEEE THIS CHANNEL💜💜💜💜
Adora featuring BTS members in every song is what we need
Min Yoongi producer of the century and I don't accept nothing less than that.
Agree if this is not the muxtape of the year I am a horse wearing clothes. And if a song between burn it and Dear my friend is not collab of the year then... I'M NOT EVEN LIVING
GRAMMY GRAMMY GRAMMY!
Your reaction was my reaction when I heard his new mixtape came out.......
except I screamed really highpitched and I broke a lung
He totally flexed his talent!!!! standing ovation, lighter held high!!!!
Me: **Drinking water**
RM: **Says in Jungshookin way** "You think you got taste?"
Me: **Spits water out**
Love them all...."Dear My Friend" however hit different when you're reading the lyrics. You can feel a type of personal pain and passion and that made me emotionally drawn to the track. But it's really hard ,as usual to just lock in on 1 track!! Today this one has my whole heart 💔💜😭🥰
Dear My Friend is my fave fron the album 💜
@@samanthabonilla1627 ....Need I say, "You have excellent taste!"💜
It’s an amazing album. I seriously adored each track, and feel something’s missing when I don’t listen to the whole album in order. And the lyrics..oh my, take all songs to the next level 👌🏻
this is probably irrelevant but let’s learn some hangul :)

When suga say "yeah yeah burn it" Reminds me to Outro: Tear.
i’m crying here with yoongi’s vocals 😭😭
🔥🔥right? Long live King Yoongi. This is an amazing piece of artistry, full of honesty and feeling. I am so proud of him and so happy for him.
no one:
Bris during the beat drop in Strange: *:0*
Last time I was this early Jimin still had jams
WOah that was really early
jimin never had jams😂😂 Namjoon was just the first one to point it out
Yoongi truly is saving 2020 👀
Nell might be familiar because they were also on Namjoon's everythingoes on Mono.
Every song I was like 'THIS one is my favourite!' but honestly the whole mixtape is incredible. The lyrics to 'Dear My Friend' almost had me crying. Daechwita, the song and MV had me jumping out of my seat. I loved it all lol.
That deep voice in honsool reminds me of “Swimming Pools” by Kendrick Lamar
Gave me that too. Also the same theme about alcohol
amazing video, i love seeing hype for yoongi!!!!
set me free is the definition of one of my playlists: alone on a dark windy beach - the vibes are immaculate and VOCALS?????
OMG I WAS LITERALLY WAITING FOR THIS
i will meditate with set me free and be only with my soul this reaction of D-2 is one of my fav i always comeback to you love how you appreciate his music LOVE YOU MIN YOONGI AKA SUGA AKA AGUST D -boy am proud of you ever since you dropped the ALBUM W/C I LIST TO TILL THIS DAY LOOOOOOOOVE YOOOOOOU
Please listen this album with lyrics again😭😭 You know that the agust d is crazy at lyric writing, and this album’s lyric is insane!!! Especially ‘dear my friend’ is similar with ‘the last’ . So please listen these songs with lyrics.
The way I clicked on this so fast 😂
The title of your video says it all, Bruh... BEST HIP HOP ALBUM THIS YEAR! 🙌🏽💯🔥
not at bris doing his evil laugh when he heard daechwita 🤣
Dude, I love your facial reactions when it touches your soul. I definitely understand because I was at Panera this morning sitting in my car and the guy came out twice wanting to know my order and I had to admit that I didn't order cuz I was watching August D video premier. I sat for 25 minutes watching the video then your reaction.
TRUST ME THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM ,ALL SONGS ARE SO LITT ,ALBUM OF THE YEAR
That “Burn It” is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! I had the same reaction you did and on repeat over here!!
HE DID THAT!
BTW love your vids! 👍🏽
BTS Rapline: lol, we can't sing 😂
BTS Rapline on all their mixtapes: *sings beautifully*
All men do is lie 🤨
he’ll probably tear a bit when he sees the lyrics of “Dear my friend”
honsool is actually about being drunk alone
and he's like telling the truth about how he feels being a 'superstar' under that condition
and that heavy voice represents the way people talk when they are drunk
also, the singing part, where he sings that he thinks like he's flying also represents the feels you get in that state
the song is very powerful, it's my favorite on the mixtape
I somehow feel so anxious listening to that and I remember him saying in a Vlive this song is made to let ppl feel uneasy and weird. And it succeeded in that in my opinion. Love it thou
"I think I like this more than..."
I know what you were gonna say and I thought the same. lol But we have to take in consideration they are very different genres, plus a group is a different creature from a soloist. Still, for me, definitely the best album of the year so far, even above The Weeknd's After Lights, because the lyrics hit closer to home for me. Thanks for the reaction Bris.
NELL was also featured in Mono, probably where you’ve heard of them before
I feel like set me free would fit really well over a anime . Like at a dramatic moment... I can't say why . I just got that vybe
Damn this young man is TALENTED!! GO Yoongi!
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, burn it" - it's from TEAR! :)
"Dear my friend" has a sad story behind it
The songs that were love at 1st listen for me were "Moonlight", "Daechwita", "28", "Burn It", "People" & "Interlude: Set Me Free".
Bro his vocals are making it hard for me to move because if I do the I get CrAzY chills omg I didn't know he had VoCaLs LIKE THAT! 😫🥰
There are truly no skips on this mixtape. I love every song and that's such a rare thing for me. It flows so well too, like every song is in the right place
I was waiting for a listening party and bris DID a listening party, omg this man it's amazing!! 🤘🏻💪🏻💜🙌🏻
I agree, best hip hop album of this year! Thanks for making the vids BRIS, much love
My analysis for Deachwita's song "For Me" 👑:
There are two concepts for me. But I will put two things:
First .- Daechwita is a type of traditional Korean music that consists of military music that plays percussion and wind musical instruments, and is usually played while walking.
King Taegu married another woman who gave birth to him two sons, and King Taegu preferred his youngest son who was from his second wife
Second • - King Taegu, "represented by longing in yellow hair", ruled from 1392 to 1398.
This entire album is fire !!!🗣💜 he really put his all into this and I’m proud of him for it 💜🥰
The only thing that makes this masterpiece of an album even better.... is listening with the lyrics. They are mind-blowing... especially for STRANGE and DEAR MY FRIEND. Strange will kill you with the goosebumps and DEAR MY FRIEND will have you in tears.
The amount if times i have played D2 is unhealthy
BRISK YOUR TRENDINGGGGG I'm proud of you mannnnn
BRIS×LIFE: put your headphones on
Also him: *OOOH!*
honsool means drinking alone.
hon is usually combined w/ other words in korean slang n the original word is written as 'honja' which means "alone" and sool is 'alcohol' if this helps!
I LOVE YOUR AGUST D REACTIONS!!
Every time yoongi said set me free it just hit different ;-; like a sad different
That nursery jingle is kinda like a marimba/xylophone sound or even a handpan drum sound. Im loving it!
