My favorite thing about this album is how many different genres of music it samples. Usually I’m not a fan of that because artists who do this only seem to barely skim the surface of each genre, but it’s very clear how much research and consideration went into understanding different cultures and backgrounds for this album. I’m sincerely so impressed by BTS and BigHit and will no doubt continue to be in the future 👍🏻😍

I wish it was more common in Korea to choose multiple songs from an album to be singles with videos. YG was really the only company for a while that would release 2+ singles for one album but that was mostly because they never released repackaged albums.

I was kind of surprised to see some people, including fans of BTS, saying that they didn't like the album at all. Now, everyone has their opinions, but they were saying that it sounded too "American" or Western and that it's not the Old BTS. First off, they explored all different genres, not just EDM or Western style. Second, the production quality has greatly improved and a newer or more experimental sound is not a bad thing at all; it'd be bad if BigBit and BTS weren't branching out. Third, you gotta listen to it, like really listen. Don't make snap judgments, and don't hate on the album just because it's different. You can't call yourself an ARMY if you are stuck only on old Bangtan. Be proud of their accomplishments and progress! Anyways I'm done ranting now. 😅 great reaction, man!
for me the album was a banger! anpanman is just great and now that I saw the choreo, no way...the songs are fucking good, paradise, love maze, so what, we already know about singularity and fake love but the two i love the most are the truth untold for the dope ass vocals that gave me chills but my favourite was the outro...i can't even explain how that thing made me feel. I see the people who like the maknae line but you gotta appreciate the rapline this was epic emotional amazing...sorry i had to say it everything was fireee
Laura Giancotti I totally agree! It's one of my favorite BTS albums overall, still debating between this, Wings, and HYYH. Overall, Tear is so well done, diverse, and a total bop! The only track that I don't think lives up to the other tracks on the album is So What, but it is a fun track nonetheless and will be fun to dance to in concert. Like I said, I don't get how people can straight up say they totally dislike the album. Like, what?? Are they deaf?? 😅
i like every song... so what has a vibe that reminds me of 201072011 pop and the lyrics is about living your life not caring about what people say. I don't have a favourite album because i can't choose but i'm a great fan of o!rul8,2? , wings and HYYH. They made history for me. (Probably they are following people that say that BTS is becoming to commercial, but for me this album was a great mix of both old and new BTS)
Yup, I totally get that from So What. And I will say, even if I don't enjoy one of their songs as much as another, their lyrics are always meaningful (I did read the lyrics for the song). Plus, I think all of their songs tend to grow on me eventually. And yeah, they're making history and taking over the music world, so forget antis and people who don't get it!

My favorite thing about watching people react to LY:Tear is seeing the steady incline of grooving and bugging out to the magnificent of this album. I'm so proud of the boys, Magic Shop was produced by Jungkook, our Kookie!! And its for Army! That whole J hope verse is from the first Airplane I loved that they did that. And yes those are Yoongi vocals in Outro:Tear. Omg let me stop this album gets me so damn hype. This reaction was perfect Bris 💜

A short story that I feel not many people will read, or even you for that matter, but here we go. At the time this album came out, i was going through a family struggle. My grandmother was really sick and passed back in July. I stayed at my grandparents house for a week to help my grandfather take care of her and this album was the album. The album that helped me sleep at three in the morning every night of that week. The album that just kept me from cracking. I know some people would say, its just an album, but no. It's not just an album. It was the album that helped me keep it together while my grandmother was super sick. So, I want to say Thank you to BTS for this album and how much it means to me, and thank you Brisx for making this and giving praise to the people who make me smile on the daily. I wish you success, health, and happiness. I wanted to share my story as to show how much this band means to me and to show how much of an effect they have on people as a whole. So once again, thank you and I hope you keep doing what you love, and have fun doing it.

boi idk how familiar you are with bts' old music but if you got shook because of the outro and anpanman they got many more that follow that same heavy/oldschool hiphop sound. their sound changed SO much since the begining that 2013/14 bts is like a whole different group.

Fr! A lot of the songs on this album remind me of old BTS. I know Bris said BTS had never done a sound like Tear, but Tear reminds me of N.O (the chorus at least). Paradise and Love Maze and Anpanman has some old BTS sound too. The only ones I feel are really different are 134340, Fake Love, and Truth Untold.
If you been an army since the beginning you know what I mean. I also think that's why this is my favorite album of theirs. New stuff + slightly older/familiar BTS sound.
Andrea right! i'm too biased when it comes to my favorite album i think it's always gonna be hyyh pt. 2, but i really appreciate tear even though there are production aspects that i dont really like. until wings i always thought bts had one apecific sound, which was the songs mainly guided by the rap line but now it's vocal heavy but i cant complain cause they made sure to even things out with amazing and meaningful flows

BRIS! I am so excited for you to look at the lyrics! IDK if yall noticed, but the songs on the album are put in an order that reflects the definition of "Magic Shop" (see the FAKE LOVE teaser 1).
Magic Shop exchanges fear for a positive attitude, right? Well, the beginning of the album have songs that express fear about loosing yourself, being isolated and alone, fear of having no dreams to name a few.
But then "Magic Shop," the song that was written for the fans falls towards the end and the songs that follow are more positive. They still discuss the hardships of working but BTS are also addressing that they're living a good life. And its through the fans, so "Magic Shop," the song that was written for the fans switches the fear to a positive attitude! Therefore, we ARMYs are their Magic Shop! We keep them positive and drive them!

Another genius thing about this album is that they differ in genres yet they all stick/represent the concept and as a whole they paint this great, wonderful picture. There is unity. You would usually not expect to have that..I would expect someone that tries to do that to be all over the place

Absolutely! Its so good! And we all know that this is also a smart move, because that way, they first of all, can reach a wider base and secondly, see which sound is most popular. Of course, Bangtan doesn't stick with what's expected of them, but this helps them get feelers for what gets a good response!

Paradise is definitely one of my favs on the album but honestly there’s not a single song I would skip. Outro had me f*ckd up! I will never recover from Yoongi’s verse. It is such a different style for him and I am LIVING for it. Also he did a melodic sing/rap in A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone which is in my top 5 bts songs of all time! Great reaction!

You can definitely tell a lot of the songs has a much more R&B/jazz-house feel to it...and I am loving it as it is totally my vibe of music. I can connect similarities to artists like H.E.R., Jhene Aiko, and Masego.

What I love about this album is not just the lit songs it’s the fact that Jin is actually getting lines like it’s literally the best thing, I’m so proud of him, they are actually showing his potential and his angelic singing. ❤️❤️❤️

I wouldn’t say jungkook’s voice is soulful. It’s definitely unique but it’s more bright and mood lifting rather than soulful. I’d say taehyung has a more soulful and dark voice.

I totally agree with what you said about BTS having a different singing style in comparison to other singers and always being compared/downgraded for their vocals, when they really have the talents to do so. Even Jungkook wanted to prove them wrong and emphasize the fact that BTS is not just a group who are good at rap and performance but are also vocally talented by putting on a mask and singing on King of Masked Singer (I recommend watching Jungkook’s segments, if you have not already). The Truth Untold is definitely one of my favorite tracks from the album, mostly because I do tend to listen to more of BTS’ vocal/slow songs and because it is a great display of their emotions through the use of their vocals, in which evoking emotions while singing is quite difficult to do.
Besides Singularity and Fake Love, Magic Shop is definitely another one of my favorite songs from the album. Jungkook participated in the production of the track, taking part in the composing and the writing of the lyrics along with assistance from the other members and producers of the company. Jungkook said that while working on the song, it didn’t feel like work since he was writing for ARMYs as Magic Shop is BTS’ second ever fan song. Please react to the first fan song, “2! 3!
