This is a short tutorial of housing my P. irminia sling, a process that can be used for many different slings, showing what I do and works for me allowing my slings to grow steadily and comfortably.

Wow that went in easy enough ❤ my c versicolor jumped up out of the sling pot, and 1 huahini done a crazy back flip right up in the air onto the living room floor🕷🕷🕷😂
Hopefully about to get one of those, so some great tips. Good vid Dave.

@@daveslittlebeasties escpent the one that done a runner, but stayed calm, moved slowly and it was soon in the pot, beautiy thou tiny, yes hopefully good start into this hobby can a 2cm pokie do any damage at that size?
@@ballkeeper6662 It could bite but I have found they rant bad they would rather run for it.
Thank you so much! I just got a suntiger and I was VERY scared because of the venom. I didn't rehome her yet but she seems very chill. Your videos help!
They. are not so bad we have done a couple of rehouses with irminia 👍
I got a confirmed female sling today, the males are a sort of grey colour, and mine is black and orange stripes
lovely chunky sling dave ,mine arrived the same size but at least a moult on from yours .luckily she has grown quicky ,best regards A
Hi Dave, been lurking on your channel for a little while. Great source of information, and seeing you rehousing your T's allows me to get second-hand experience and be calm when rehousing my own T! (New keeper here :D). Was wondering if you were going to do an update video on your P. Regalis in the near future? They are a fascinating species! Have a good day, Jessy
Thanks and welcome and yes we will cover them again , waiting on the producing an egg sac 👍
Beautiful. Congratulations.

@@igordasilvaquinellato7201 WOW thats a complicated name 😂 and your English is great mate I hope you enjoy all our videos and make sure you hit the bell icon and get our notifications of our next videos I hope you like tomorrows 😂😂👍
Ok im dying to know where u got those containers i know they are like a 32oz deli atleast it looks like that but theres a big diff in the quality of the lid and top of container
I just got one of these 2 days ago Dave! Such a beauty! Mine is eating baby crickets, it was very thin when I purchased it. We cant have roaches here in FL sadly.
Chrickets will be fine, they spend a fair bit of time burrowing when young only going truly arboreal when there a little older, fantastic spiders to keep, nice and easy. 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties oh thanks! I don't think I gave her enough substrate. Crap.
Fantastic Video. I want in the Next Time to buy an Versicolor and an Irminia. What do I need to pay attention for both like Ventilation and resistence for Temperature?
Both will be sling
As slings keep them dry but always have water available
I’m getting my first 3/4 -1 inch Darth Maul , my first sling through the post, i can follow this you would think, he doesn’t need to be in a dram vial right and i think i would need cross ventilation right
I put mine in 190g pots or old fruit flies pots are also very good just dont let them get wet , keep them on the dry side 👍
Great video Dave, getting my 1st p.irminia sling next Tuesday,(can’t wait) I’m a beginner,I have 7 fantastic beginner Tarantulas and thought the p.irminia would be a great T preparing me for the next step into my journey and the hobby…what do you think? I’ve done a lot of research on the p.irminia but,any advice would be amazing x💙🏴
Fantastic! I have a few videos covering them and yes I think they are a great stepping stone into arborials and quicker spiders 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties thank you Dave,it’s a 50th birthday gift from my brother Scottish Tam,think you may know him x💙
@@tarantulasister882 I do know tam you will enjoy the irminia great spider 👍❤️
I'm interested in seeing a video on your substrate mix
I just collect it from mixed woodland.
Love the video, but I wanted to ask, how often should I put water in the slings enclosure. Specially since mine has no water bowl.
Depending on what your housing your slings in , you can just mist the enclosure 1-2 a week very lightly or use a very small water bowl , I tend to just rely on the food items to give them there moisture .
Dave's Little Beasties thank you! Also right know im feeding her once a week, when should I start feeding some more?
@@lucas_3418 Just be careful not to over feed you don't want her to moult.
Why dont you use water dishes in the sling enclosures?
becouse they can drown in them , once they get some size I do , but being fed so regular its not an issue 👍
Great vid man ,,,, well explained and i did enjoyed the video ,,, i will have one shipped to me next week ,,, wish me and the lil' guy or gal Luck '''
You won't be disappointed there great spiders.
@@daveslittlebeasties ok ,,,
are yours still a sling and do you have a larger one .
@@daveslittlebeasties I herd that they are good at webbing how true is that with your experiences with that species
@@snakemannn1744 I breed mine and have sub adults too
Why do many keepers have problems keeping this sp? saying that their irmi dies after going 1inch.
I have no idea they are one of the easiest to care for 👍
Dave um when u move him
Will u sell me a sling I looked online and didn’t see any sales ! I’d like a blue one ! I keep coral reefs and would like to start spiders and love ur vids ......
🕷️
Do the sling at that stage require food? If so what kind of food pin heads or fruitflies
Once they moult into slings they. will need feeding 👍
Well that's a very expensive un boxing video. Last time I saw the price on them it was 111 pounds for 1. Hope you had a good deal on them.
Theres always a deal to be had my friend 😂👍
I got mine as a freebie
how do spiders survive being in things that are closed and seem to have noway for air to enter?
They dont use air like us so there is plenty to keep them happy 👍
I have a sling this size and mine doesn't eat. It's belly is getting smaller and smaller... I tried to feed it roaches, flies, mealworms...
Rehouse it , in not to big an enclosure try and make it feel secure always have water available , leave for a week and then try feeding small items , keep nice and warm 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties thank yu so much.
@@niniluna2446 how did it go? Did she „wake up“ and eat?
Is that 2 dead slings on the table?
Its two sloughed skins 👍
Lol ya I figured as much after I commented 😅 🤣
Why do certain spiders need "cross ventilation" and some spiders don't?
Some just like more airflow but to be honest they all require good clean air 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties Got it, thanks Dave!
All sizes they eat everything. there asorbing machines morio's mealworms dubias , there never leftovers
Same as acanthoscuria geniculata
I would like to send you somr money i want you to keep me a spider
