Was in Tignes in 1993. Just down from the top of the Madeleine lift in ValD, friend's rear-entry boot split. It was fun watching him try to ski back to Tignes only making decent turns in one direction.
Enjoyed the film as usual. My favourite run in Val D is Solaise. I usually stick to the right going down because less busy and chopped up. Stopped film at just the right place: Henri into VC at the end of the day is always so busy. Keep up the great work. Will be in Val Claret end of March.
This was the first time I skied here for many years so wasn't that familiar with the resort. Yeah, I was heading to Arcelle but think it was closed. Needed to get back before the lifts closed. I did do Arcelle in another video here ua-cam.com/video/efsHFSUSWU0/v-deo.html

Nice video. I want to ask about the snow conditions. Which month has the best snow conditions? For example I was planning to go 14-21 December but I have concern about the snow.do you have any recommendations.
Hello I am a strict follower of yours. You are making a quality, only and disciplined publication. Thank you for that. Don't spoil your style. You can increase off-track videos. And is this video just shot or last season?
Really appreciate the feedback, thank you. Ski season is just about to start for me and intending to get a lot of footage to make some great videos. Stay tuned and glad to have you here...
The young woman in the magic carpet thing in the check harlequin outfit, looks like she or her parents shopped at Goldbergh. As you would know ski clothes are either cheap and cheerful, mid priced, expensive, and 'you paid how much?' Don't know what make I'll be buying for my second season, maybe Schöffel or Kjus - pricy, but as always quality doesn't come cheap - or ? - jacket in orange...ish . As for the run, it looked well chewed up, hope it was groomed for the next morning.
Yes, I tend to purchase off-season if anything good is still left, just got a new pair of boots so hopefully they will be good. A new jacket is due next season I think, I haven't really been looking, I have plenty of skiing apperal for now. Looks like you've been researching quite a lot...
@@ChasingSnow I been researching to damn much. 😔 But have deleted a lot of bookmarks now I've got my boots and helmet and the base and mid layers. Just mostly technique links now to mentally help me, and most of them will be deleted after this first learn-to-ski season, and I have a lot of holiday resort list links for the season(s) after this one.
It snowed overnight that day so there was a cover of fresh snow in the morning, that got chopped up so conditions were not the best by the end of day...
To take the opposite angle, why wouldn't you wear a helmet? It's a high-speed sport where you're not always in control of whether you're involved in a collision
@@ultrafez high-speed sport? Not in the time I went skien (1986-1995) it's like winter tyres, the real reason = to drive a bit faster in the snow. No cohesion what happens on the slopes, hearing anything what happens and how fast other go on the slopes = so more accidents .
Well big respect, that red down from Solaise to the Olympique lift is proper gnarly. Nice memories of most of the rest of it :-)
Cheers and glad it brought back some good memories :-)
Thank you so much for bringing us along ! It looks beautiful there 😊
Cheers and thanks for watching!!

Such a long time ago, I bet it has changed quite a lot. How did your friend split the rear of their boot?
Remember the waffle stall at the top of the last lift. Then a long run in front of the plough down to val claret. A lifetime ago now.
Sounds like it's time to revisit...

Thanks for the comment! Enjoy your skiing, I'll try and pop in during this month for a day or two, depending on conditions...
Still remember a lot of people miss the "Folie Douce lift" and end up getting stuck in La Daille of ValD lol
OK, but I think it's not too difficult getting the bus (or buses) back to Tignes?
Ha! You should have gone down Arcelle. Wouldn't help getting back to Tignes but good run.

It really depends on the season. Last season, December had heaps of fresh snow while it got warm in February, and the lower parts were not so good.
Good lad making the lift, you could have made it to Brevieres lol...
Yes, wanted to make sure I didn't miss it :-)

The video is from last season, there is a lot of information in the description.

@@Puzzoozoo We need to get you out on the slopes, when is your first session?
one of the words reds down to a resort. hatet it!
Why?
Good video but piste conditions are awful. I guess it's skiable untill mid-day :(

I think everyone started wearing a helmet after the Michael Schumacher accident...
