PRS is leading the way in the electric guitar industry...the electric guitar is alive and well at PRS. Affordable good value products. Mark seems like a cool dude.
@@nateglass8767 Man, someone is sour as hell. You can get a PRS SE Standard for $500 and this for $700. Grab a cab and you can rock like hell. That's honestly not bad in the guitar world.
Gibson refused to give players what they want, strayed too far away from their core principles, quality suffered, and it drove them into bankruptcy. PRS stays true to their roots without gimmicks, making quality instruments and amps, and that's why they are the most respected company in the music world.
Zoran Horvat um... No... Same components... Will sound the same.. And I could give two shits about the communist labor force... I'd gladly pay more for this being American made
@@Fenar_ Didnt buy one.. took to long for them to get in stock..Ended up getting a great deal on a used EVH 5150 III EL34 50W head....which is awesome.
I've got 1 of these amps and it's a great amp, I also have a Mesa Mark 5 25 and it's pretty much just as good for a cheaper price, great amp for the price
This thing is awesome. I'm a 6L6 fan aswell. The clean nails what i prefer, maybe a little bit too much bass but there is an EQ. The dirty is awesome too maybe a little bit to much gain for my guitar. I will definitely check it out.
There are a lot of comments here about wishing to here it with a budget guitar or his new SE. Folks - He is playing his new SE model though the new amp on this video!! And it sounds amazing. I have my MT15 already preordered and I have the older Tremonti Se and will now also be getting this SE also. Love my current one and am sure I will Love this one!!
63 comments on this video so far and not a single one says that....you made that up. We all saw "SE" on the headstock at the beginning of the video....no idea what you're talking about.
I was referring to many of the vidoes on this amp on You Tube and for sure did not know I directed the comment at you... But Below - Life Of Chris and quote "remember their using high end guitars on these demos" - Guess you missed this one on here. Was a general comment but should have known someone would have to ADD their Unasked two cents..
danwilhite I don't think so:( the foot switch it comes with has 1 button so it's probably just clean and dirty. Wicked amp though! I hopefully will order mine soon xD
Traded my Traynor cs 100h2 and 4x12 + orange cr120 for one of these and a 2x12 cab wish prs offered 16 ohm 2x12s though. The amp does say 8 ohm parallel but even the guitar store couldn't figure out of I could run it on an 8ohm 2x12. As I first picked up a used mesa cab but with the confusion switched to a h&k 2x12 not what I wanted but in 16ohm I dont have much option outside a 1000$ cab.
RockerRobin I know this comment is old, but this is a really easy problem to solve just wire your speakers in series or parallel to get the resistance load you need
Always wanted a tube amp at a good price, don't typically like PRS or "signature models" but this looks promising. Sounds awesome without any pickups but remember they're using high end guitars on these demos.
Matthew Kirk actually that one is not what you are seeing used at sub 500. It might be in the future but that is the newest SE standard with a term and the new "S" pickups and is better than the original one you are seeing. I have the one you are seeing at sub 500 used and I do Love it.
Would this Tremonti rig(Head&Cab) work for practices and small venues/clubs? And would a tube screamer of some sort add to the tonality of the amp(necessary)?
Tremonti is a fantastic player no doubt. The amp ain't. We did a few shoot outs with the new EVH 5150 15W Lunchbox. The EVH blew the PRS’s away. Clean was as good if not better than the PRS. There is also a master volume on the clean for EVH (not the PRS). EVH goes from 15W to 1/4 instead of half power (PRS) making the EVH a much better practice and bedroom amp when you need it. The gain channel is much more articulate than the Prs. The dial on the PRS gain switch is SUPER sensitive. Its goes from 0 to balls out with the slightest nudge. Finally the Prs is darker and get muddy unless you go all out. You also have to dime the treble knob out to get anything to cut. PRS’s is a GREAT company but EVH kills it.
His Signature Guitar is a ten but his signature amp has suffered since they kept it a budget-friendly amp. I mean if I closed my eyes I would think Im hearing a great player through a Spider amp or something. He can make anything sound good (including hello kitty acoustic lol). Keep that in mind. Buying it wont make you sound like him, practicing will. I really doubt he records with it when you put it up against his Diezel, Marshall and higher end PRS amps he has. Maybe one line just to say he used it.
To give Mark the benefit of the doubt, it sounds like he's saying he still plays his big amps live "'CAUSE they're the hundred-watt style." Could be a matter of output vs flavor.
I'm also confused, because I don't think 100w amps are necessary for a live performance as everything is mic'ed up and he probably also has in ear monitors. (Plus a 100w amp actually is just a touch louder than a modern/efficient 15w amp)
I buy one of these amps.and to my black face fender twin they are nothing more than a cheep toy. When U turn up a real valve amp they get better and better.but these PRS mt15 only get louder. Do not listen to these UA-cam scammers. They make them sound what they are not .
I wonder why these people are not honest to people when it's there chanel. The blue Chanel has A very loud hum. And the red Chanel U cannot turn the gain pass 9 and the intinuaor hardly works .and the over drive only good for rythem. I would not pay more than $500 .unless all the Amps from reverb are no good.

Thank you for watching, Steven! 🙌
Great freakin' guy, monster musician.
Steven Ohata affordable??? Let me guess, you also think the affordable care act is affordable too right? Not for working people!
Nate Glass Have you tried the SE line? Incredibly affordable.

Mark Tremonti is just the guy. Definitely worthy of admiration and I'm glad he's had so much go his way.
Sweet to see him playing an SE with the head, great gig showing what it'll sound like with an equal price model

They can build a Multiscale 7 string custom 27 and it will still look like a PRS...that’s NUTS
@ThatsRaidillonActually 2018
My favorite guitarist of all time, right here.
Robert Simpson me too
Him and Dime are the reason I started to play guitar. Mark's a legend \m/

God damnit now I want one. I love Mark’s tone anyways and now I’m going to have to save for it.
Damn, that amp sounds amazing! I cant wait to get my hands on one.
Sounds really good. Can’t wait to get one.
👍
I will wait for some real world reviews, but this is looking like a winner. I'll be getting rid of the Blackstar HT-5 and replacing it with this.
mjfan123085 keep the ht5
I will never get rid of my HT-5.
That sounds amazing. Good job constructing that beast with PRS.
Hi! Does anyone here know how Mark use two amps (Mesa+Bogner) at the same time? In chain or stereo? Thanks!

I think I'll check this out for sure!
I was so close to buying an or-15 but this has two channels so it is therefore better.

We have to wait until May 2019, to get them in Australia.
Not impressed.
I already have 2 guitars from PRS I and looking forward to buying Prs Amps.
Great interview! Can't decide who to preorder this with...
Thanks so much for checking out the video! 😎👍

Once this sells a boatload, Im sure Mesa will jump on the bandwagon and make a 6L6 lunchbox amp.

Robert J not bashing it mate. Just stating that he is not using a top end guitar like Chris thought. Killer amp, killer guitar. :)
Robert J I also meant used in the video not resale price
Wait...Hes doing a 100 watt of this? I love the f*****g tone this had at the shop... If he does a lower cost 100... Hed destroy the industry.
For sure, if he and PRS can come in at $1500 or below, he'll beat almost all of the major brands.
Would this Tremonti rig(Head&Cab) work for practices and small venues/clubs? And would a tube screamer of some sort add to the tonality of the amp(necessary)?
Yes depending on your cab. A tube screamer is good for almost everything
Yes.
Footswitch to change between lead and clean?
Yep, also included \m/
What’s the second song Mark plays on the clean demo? I recognise it but can’t quite place it
David Kirby the very beginning of it sounds like Riviera Paradise
The first and second riff of the clean demo are both from 'Blackbird' by Alter Bridge

Gosh darn it, it sucks being broke right now!
