Best part about the last one: Microsoft updated the controllers to where all you have to do is tap the sync button twice and it’ll switch between one console and one Bluetooth device. Best update lol

Super late here, but wanted to add a note. If using an Xbox controller with a USB-C to USB-C cable to a mobile device, the controller doesn't need to be charged or actually need any batteries in the controller. The controller gets fully powered by the mobile device. You can pick up a pack of cables for around 6 bucks.
about using your current xbox controller, you only have to hit twice the sync button, and it will automatically connect to your xbox, you don't have to pair it again! it is a great time saver!

I personally prefer the Xbox controller option if you already have one. They are much more quality than most phone specific controllers and the clips for them are dirt cheap. I use a Series X controller + phone clip for my mobile emulation setup and it works a treat.

my favorite is definitely the controllers such as the kishi, i have a gamesir x2 usb controller and the reason why i like this method the most is because it feels like i am turning my phone into a psp or ps vita it reminds me of when i was younger playing on the handheld consoles and i love it
Yeah....it sounds great, Xbox controller support....no cod mobile only xbox one .....apex legends .....yeah then I buy a licensed Xbox mobile controller.....you think the game sees a Xbox controller then....no.....like wtf is this....I want to sell my xbox for a mobile controller to just go mobile....no way .....only gamepass alowed with these controllers.....and why the fuck cod mobile is only os4 and xbox one? What if you have series s or x? And why the navon and razor don't work? It has xbox on it
They are probably more travel friendly as well and don’t look as ridiculous as a whole controller in public.
There is a 5th options, you can buy clip on triggers for you phone and reposition touch controls to under the triggers. Generally they come in a rings box and are a great option if portibility is important to you
I use kishi most of time now but used and love the clip on triggers for like 2 years and still find myself with a pair of triggers in my pocket they work so good if you get angood set
Those aren't as good. And if you're doing that just play the phone normally
Im using a kishi and a pixel 6a with case. Amazing solution and I can play emulation games, xcloud and smartphone games. Amazing oled display and performance for 370 €. ☮️

option, have you ever dropped the razor or the controller stand?
I’ve dropped the Kishi, it’s pretty durable. I haven’t dropped the stand but I’d image it’d do just fine, the phone is definitely the most vulnerable part of the system.

Great review. I am addicted to Diablo… 😀So swtching between the Switch for Diablo3 and the iPad for Diablo Immortal (totally trashed by steamers but I play it 100% for free). And now decided I will buy me an XBox controller with bluetooth connection so to hook it on my PC or iPhone.
The XBox controller is out of stock worldwide though, … but that’s my gaming goal: PC/Switch for D3 and iPad, iPhone, PC for Diablo Immortal. The only other games I play are historical board wargames … 😀
Love the 🎤 🤠. You would be a good panel moderator. I think the Kishi is still the best especially as it's a good mid range alternative. I just wish it would work on the all the kiddie games I downloaded from the app store for my kindergartener.

@@kennymccormick8295 Xbox controller is the best when you keep it without the phone but it's too heavy and bulky when you attach a mobile phone to it. I have a phone mount and I find it unplayable
@@acanthoscurriageniculata7141The trick is to get the 8bit clip and rotate the phone so its sits directly on top of the controller buttons (You can see the buttons).

In my opinion an Xbox OEM controller is better, but with the Kishi, it feels like a decent compromise. It is small, portable, it's directly wired to the phone and has a decent building quality.
While a full grip, Xbox OEM controller is better at everything, the Razer Kishi is probably one of the best small profile mobile gaming controllers. And is definitely better than Nintendo switch joycons, so I give that point to the Kishi.
The Kishis drain battery power from your phone quickly, but nobody advertises that😏
I haven’t noticed that. Gaming in general drains battery quickly, so that may be why it appears this way.
@@TechSpaceCowboy Yeah, I hear ya. I was just speaking from experience. I guess if you wanna go hard with gaming, it would be best to bring a battery with you or wait until you can get in front of a console.

Having never done mobile gaming before; I have a long plane ride coming up and was considering entertainment options. Watched the video but I decided to go with a ps4 controller mount. I already have a controller, and the mount was only 7$. Downloaded an emulator and some ps1 games. Grabbed GTA vice city for a few bucks too.
For less than 20 bucks I think I'll be good to go. I dont think the contraption looks too silly ;P
Not even that, the ps4 and the Xbox one controllers are the only 1 supported bye games
Razer kishi is a cheaply made POS. Have had 2 with the shoulder bumpers just popping out for no reason. My current kishi has something rattling around in it and Xbox cloud gaming causes stick drift. Buying the Xbox clip

I have no issues using my xbox controllers to play my games on my phone. I bought an attachment and use it to play at work on breaks and while I wait for my shift. Doesn't matter what other people think of me.

Super super late here, but i use a silly little contraption that is made with and otterbox case , otterbox case thingy idk what its called, a armband thats like a basketball one, a nintendo switch with controllers and i mashed up all up to make a thing that is like the Backbone one or Razer Kishi alla those stuff
I’m going with the otterbox MagSafe clip because I have a Rokform case and it’s a pain in the ass to take my phone out of.
I did review GameSir X2 which may be appealing to you as well then. Worth a look if you’ve got the time.

Does the kishi work okay with the 13 pro max? I loved it for my s10 plus but switched to iPhone. Some people say it works and some say it doesn't work at all.
Yes they're an iPhone version on the Xbox store on sale for $59.99 US dollars I just wondered one for my Samsung
@@wrestle_dream_ I know there's an iPhone version but the issue with the 13 pro series is the camera bump. It's larger than before so it interferes with the controller. I ended up ordering one but I had to trim the rubber to make it fit.

ill be honest im kinda torn between getting something like a
barebone or razer kishi for pure handheld like gaming on my phone....or a wireless xbox controller with a clip on so i can play on my phone...but also connect it to my pc once in a while when im feeling like some console ish gaming
My S21 Ultra barely fit without the case VERY WOBBLY super uncomfortable. Bought the kishi at Verizon at discount 54 dollars but I'm returning it. Maybe I didn't attach it correctly or something but it sux.

The kishi doesn't fit my phone (galaxy ultra s22) and idk if I'd like the kishi v2 because they changed the joysticks. I tried a mount with a xbox controller. It's nice however it starts to bother my wrist cause it's heavy holding that s22 ultra and the controller . I may try the kishi v2

I haven’t had that issue, but not surprised it happened on the BB, those have very similar sticks to the switch

The Kishi's joystick is more similar to Xbox controllers which is more durable. The Switch's joysticks don't drift because of being cheap, it's because of desing. Which is also the same on Backbone

I love razer kishi but to be honest any controller(Kishi,Backbone etc.) force me to remove the case and leave my 1000+ USD device (Btw I'm using iPhone 13 Pro Max)device defenseless , isn't worth it imo.

Having a mount for the PS4 controller the balance feels off, like its pretty heavy (Galaxy s21).
Does the kishi feels more balanced?
Try adjusting your clip so your phone is literally over your controller. Way better for balance, no need to see the buttons we all have memorized.

Me too. Good news is that they are asking for feedback in their discord channel. Maybe a backbone 2 with decent analogs and a little more reasonable price would make me agree with Jared.
Personally, I would also prefer bluetooth than lightning for being more “future proof”.
For now, XBox + magsafe clip 🙌🏻.

Love you channel. Keep up the great work. I’ve used both for a while. The main issue I have with the Razor is the fit on both the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the iPhone 13 Pro Max is terrible. It wobbles WAY too much. The backbone, while the joysticks and buttons are less quality, as you mentioned, is a better phone fit. Especially with the new adapter that the Backbone sends out.
Except if you have a thick case like my Rokform case. Not taking my phone out of the case ever time I want to play games
