The undisputed best controller reviewer, sick video man. I think an interesting future video idea for this controller could be a comparison with the wolverine ultimate since you can still buy it, and it launched at a similar price and both having 6 extra buttons.
I have had this controller for about a month, and it's been performing pretty well. I tried to overclock it and that basically bricked it for a couple hours until I found a solution online, so I wouldn't recommend trying that just to avoid the headaches. About once a week my sprint (L3) and jump (A and left paddle) stop working mid game, but it seems to be a software bug because all I have to do is unplug it and plug it back in to fix it, but it is annoying. I do wish they would've added hall effect joysticks since I'm sure stick drift will be a problem in the future, but for now they're good. Overall, the buttons, triggers, and joysticks feel great compared to a normal ps4 or ps5 controller. Great upgrade for those looking to do so.
@@11BCampbell11 Give it a shot if you really want to try it. If it bricks there are ways to fix it, but I couldn't get the overclock to stick with the controller working.
Been playing Warzone for the past 2 years and never used any controller with pads but after purchasing this 4 weeks ago I can definitely say definitely a game changer
I use my left sax button for sprint and it’s like butter, I don’t fully reach down to tap it, more so pushing it down with the middle of my finger how it lies on the controller. W video
I love mine, the only issue again is the software. Sometimes it crashes mid game and you’re stuck with an un functioning controller while in a gun fight. BUT it’s only happened 2 times in the last 4 weeks. A simple restart of the software fixes everything. Still though, that’s pretty annoying. Thanks for the review! Always enjoy your raw humor 💪👊
Been following your content for years, and this one does not disappoint! I'm really stoked you had a tear down of this controller cuz I was going to be taking it apart to see what switches they use for the face buttons, this saved me that time. Thank you... Can't believe they actually used these omron switches.... thought they felt damn good.
Great review. Been waiting for this one although I already decided to buy it. I also had the trigger jitter thing, but increasing deadzones solved that (I only use the clicky trigger setting). I like the sax and extra back buttons

That's for a much different crowd of people than this review is aiming for. It isn't as simple as teaching yourself to Solder unfortunately. The process of removing & replacing the sticks, especially the ones that come with the additional board, isn't something a person with little Solder experience could pull off with no issue first try. It's possible, but not a good idea to attempt as you could ruin your device, or the sticks with ease. That's a DIY thing and I feel like that's an entirely different group of people. Pro players, and aspiring pro players/content creators want something that works, and aren't too interested in taking the time to get that involved with their device.
@@vCuda Honestly that is perfectly on point its a completely different audience. Hell most of your vids hit the mark and the only thing I generally disagree with on your channel is the importance of comfort in the hand that a lot of the newer pro controllers dont prioritise. The 360 and the dual shock 4 were the peak of comfort. It was all downhill from there. The xbox one controller was too sharp and compact and the ps5 controller was too big. Generally even some of the older pro controllers had better design than modern pro controllers like that piece of shit msi controller that broke in a week feels way better in the hand than most controllers coming out these days.
Guys I installed them yesterday and I was about to cry, I am very decent at soldering (for me desolder a stick module is very easy) but those are another level. The main problem is there is no step by step video that teaches you all the problems you may face in the process
I have to restart my PC so many times for the Envision Pro to work. Icue keeps saying there is a profile conflict + my mappings do not work. My triggers will also stop working mid game sometimes. Really sucks cuz l do like the feel of the controller, but I can rarely use it :(
From the perspective of a PC game pad nerd: Does this controller have good gyro? And does it really have a PS layout, but no touch pad?? Because the touchpad has at least 4 distinct inputs, that you can always map the way you want. I'm pretty sure the FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro is a cheaper (costs below 100 bucks, bigger issue currently is the ability to order one, cause it's non stop sold out everywhere), yet better pro controller for PC nerds, with the extremely good feeling hall effect joysticks, also switchable triggers to micro switch and also 6 extra buttons (4 back buttons, but instead of the weird sax buttons it just got 2 extra face buttons right below the standard 4 ones). And the FlyDigi controllers have extremely well support by the remapp program reWASD, that allows you to set every button of this controller to any input you want. So vCuda, I highly recommend you try out and review the FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro (not the APEX 3, that one's shit, tbh). Maybe you'll like that controller, too. :)
I’m waiting for razer to pull their head out of their ass and give us a Hall effect controller with the front and back button locations of the TE, with the capability of keybind mapping on the extra buttons. I’d pay $200 in a heartbeat for good Hall effects and those front buttons.
Recently got a Scuf Envision Pro and I love everything about it, except for the iCue software. Physically, the controller is great, but getting it to work how it's supposed to has been a pain
You are the only good reviewer when it comes to stuff like this. Your the only person who's given valid and helpful information about my controller. Before I watched this video all I knew about the controller was that it had a good Bluetooth connection. Great video man 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
A fighting game player here and from what I've seen this controller would be really good for them (don't know anybody that has a clicky dpad controller so not sure how easy motion inputs are on them) but I will say not having any way for any adapter to get this thing on a PS5 is a major shot in the foot. Almost all local tournaments are played on those so you're limiting yourself to online events. Hopefully Brook adds compatibility for their Wingman FGC
My envision pro has developed bad stick drift after 1 month, love the controller but this has happened on EVERY scuff controller I have owned! (4 diffrent types now) Back to searching for the perfect controller.........
Whenever i had the Scuf Vantage or whatever with the sax buttons, i ended up using those primarily to go left and right in the inventory for Blackout on Black Ops 4.
I need this controller to have a one night stand with the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra and use their offspring. If this had the Stealth Ultra's hall effect sticks, microswitch back buttons and bumpers, and the actually useful on-controller screen, it would be my endgame controller
The fact that the GameSir T4 Cyclone Pro is sold for $50 means that all pro controllers on the market are now irrelevant. Scuff does not offer anything worth $120 more compared to the T4 Cyclone.
FINALLYYYY! The review we were all waiting for and thank you mate for uploading this! Great video. I am having an issue if i play wired my triggers are operating as bumpers & vica versa. I have looked in the software but it says triggers are where they meant to be so im forced to play wirelessly- still an amazing controller.
I wonder if mine is the same. I had some buttons and the sticks stop mid game I restarted and then the triggers don’t work. Not sure if I hit the bumpers or not.
You also can't change the Dead zone shape, stock is usually circle, but there is also square deadzone and cross dead zone. this comes with circle and not even steam input works and ewverytime i try to calibrate it in steam input settings it wont calibrate and you can click A and it wont work, but you can click the B button to exit.
Yhey only made one big mistake. They should have added a gyroscope. Now whe have a controller that can finally have unique mappings on the back paddles instead of just copies. but no gyro. I get why though. Because x input does not support gyro. But the could have used the gyro as a mouse on software. Just like flydigi uses flymouse. The vader 3 pro has 4 back buttons that can be fully remmaped with Rewasd and it can also remap gyro controls. Once again Microsoft is blocking Gyro from any software / hardware that they own.
Bought 2 of these controllers and one came with severe stick drift and the second one came with one of the back paddles cracking when I pressed it and had inconsistent presses out of the box. I love to feel look design everything else but the controller just feels too inconsistent rn. I'm guessing they're going to make a second one or get better with time but for now I'm going to return it and just wait. Hopefully the next one comes with hall effect thumbsticks!

Just bought this controller and both of my thumb sticks have jitter out of the box making tiny micro adjustments in gamepad tester under 0.02 is this normal?
any controller will have that. There's no controller that comes out of the box where you can completely drop the deadzones to zero without any sort of jitter. Usually at worst itll be minor stick drift regardless of the controller youre using. Just up the deadzone incrementally along with the trigger deadzones until and sort of drift or accidental actuation stops

I love ICUE it's the BEST!
Im not going to lie i just buy one and i was scared that you were going to say it sucks 😅😅😅
