As for an exercise appearing easier with a little bit heavier weight... I am in no way an expert for weight/sport/..., but I find that writing with a heavier pen steadies my writing, and maybe this is a similar thing, where the 12lbs just give you a bit more steadiness than the 10? As you grow stronger, that might shift up as well.
Happy to learn if anyone here head more knowledge or experience on this!
Way to go, gym warrior! 💪🤩 I think I’m gonna try rewatching your workout videos in the mornings bc I feel motivated to workout when I see you working out…but my gym closes at 10pm weekdays and even earlier on weekends! lol

Hi mate, good on you for getting back in the gym after your operation.
In terms of feeling your lats a couple of things that may help is imagining pulling your elbows into your sides and starting the concentric (pulling down) from a fully stretched position, as in arms fully extended. Maybe your seat can go down a little? Another thing is to experiment with hand position. Wider/narrower. Hope this helps. Checkout Dr Mike from renaissance periodisation, he has a very good video on this exercise
And another comment, as I am following along the video. Do you listen to music while you work out? Could you use the beat of the music to control the speed of the exercises, like 4 beats up, 6 beats down?
It would make me go faster 🤣 I’m considering not listening to anything at all, which would be a whole discomfort issue but doable.
