- In Texas, the Fifth Circuit of Appeals will hear the case next week about the only district in a county where Black and Latino voters can determine election outcomes.
In 2021, Galveston County's Commissioners Court's redistricting plan chopped up the one majority-minority district, where Black and Latino residents make up 58-percent of the electorate.
Valencia Richardson, the legal counsel for voting rights for Campaign Legal Center, joins us from D.C.

So to all bitching about the immigrants, remember this when you go to the supermarket, restaurants, home repairs, most are the backbone of our labor force. Now sure we have some knuckleheads amongst them just like we have knuckleheads in our communities. From the age of 10 to 16 my summer vacations were spent traveling to Mississippi where my grandparents were sharecroppers and the family members rotated coming back to plant, pick cotton , harvest the crops in the early fall. I bet you couldn't find one American that would do this labor TODAY.
