In the 70's--'80's we had tv carts with Sony open reel b&w videotape, and '80's VHS tape [well , Sony BETAMAX Beta tape too until '84 or so. BETA was smaller cartridge, arguably better format, but VHS became the standard...iirc you could get more rec time on VHS. BETA was the first Stereo HIFI format. And superior to VHS audio wise.
My father used to always speak about the beauty of Ms. Ruby Dee. This is how I first came to know about her. He spoke of her beauty and gracefulness, and as I grew up and got to view her films and discover more about her, I came to understand why he admired her so much. Her husband was also an amazing man. May they both rest in peace.
I once asked her how she kept her skin so beautiful and flawless (she was middle aged at that time). She laughed and said that she did nothing special to It. She was such a humble and gracious lady!
These hair and make up channels have 5/6 millions if not more subscribers and this channel only have this amount? I have seen Sidney Poitier and Danny Glover play the Raisin In the Sun scene where the son turns down the money, and I swear I love Al Freeman's more tempered and subtle acting chose better. It is more believable to me... killing the man with kindness. I will never get over Al Freeman's characterization of Elijah Muhammad in Malcolm X.

I just subscribed to your channel, even though I been looking at your movies for a while 😆😆. I love old movies because they teach life lessons & besides I grew up looking at a lot of these movies.
Al Freeman will always remember as dr. Fred Welshman online life to live and honor Elijah Mohamed on Malcolm x(1992). he's rough, heat and aspiring for a actor and writer.
Al Freeman Jr. actually played Detective Ed Hall on One Life to Live for many years alongside Ellen Holly, another NY theater actress, as his wife Carla Hall. Ed adopted a young man named Josh before he married Carla, if O remember correctly. That young man was played by Larry Fishburne, now known as Lawrence.
Sheila Barnett oh yea I remember. he was soooo cute back then but with boyz n da hood he play s very serious father just to make things complete. thanks, friend.
Sheila Barnett Ellen Holly is my I fluency it comes to so many great black k actors had state doing tv and movies with great better character and better scripting. thanks anyway.

As Dr. KING said WE could SIT at the TABLE of the BORTHOOD on MANKIND as CITIZEN would were FULL CITIZENS the WE should asBLACK MEN and BLACK WOMEN without being ASHAMED of it Something in this TIME WE need to REMEMBER fir a lot of US have STRAYED from the PATH and LOST OUR WAY .Not only alot in BLACK AMERICA but in ALL of AMERICA , only then will WE RIGHT the SHIP of AMERICA it's something EVERY AMERICAN needs THINK about in this NATION.
