Eminem went through a hell of a lot, I honestly didn't think someone could go through so much, he even was broken at some point in his life, and look at where he's at now, he's the embodiment of "Dedication" and "SUCCESS". Great respect to Eminem, and I'm glad you're showing your son Eminem.
Em is maybe like 4-5 years older than me so I absolutely loved that he used Max Headrum in this video.... My favorite thing of this song is that you HEAR what he's saying but you can't PROCESS it until after it's been said... That is what blows me away about Em... How many of us have had to go back and re-listen because he said some epic shit and we had to go back and process it, lol... Legendary
"But for me to rap like a computer it must be im my genes(jeans), i got a laptop in my back pocket(of those jeans)" i always thought that bar was slept on
That's a really good one. Rap god was never my favourite, or even in my top 10, but that line always caught my attention. I love when people use double entendres like that
I don't know how to make songs like that... I don't know what words to use. That line always cracks me up. Eminem is the GOAT. Period. I'm new, but you definitely got me with this, awesome to see the younger generation seeing Em's magic! Dude is an absolute genius with the English language.
@@kristijantomic613 yeah exactly, and he goes really hard only in the end speed wise on Godzilla. In Rap God it's pretty much constant chopping whit some a bit slower parts here and there.
@@kristijantomic613 Godzilla beat out Rap God in terms of the Guinness record. On 'Rap God', Eminem's fastest verse is broken down to 9.6 syllables-per-second. On the third verse of 'Godzilla', Eminem raps 229 words in 30 seconds. That breaks out to 7.6 words-per-second or 11.3 syllables-per-second.
"You're witnessing a massacre (a mass occur) like you're watching a church gathering take place lookin boy" is one of those classic Em bars!! I've always loved this track 🔥
Your boy looks like he is straight up studying Em’s lyrics. I love it. Props to your boy for giving it a chance. So many are stuck in their ways, but he’s open to listening.
He also got sued for it too. I remember reading it one of them couldn’t care less and was quite happy em used it but I’m guessing the other one just wanted a payday and sued em
@@deconstruction5393 That’s pretty dumb to sue over that. That was a huge shout out from the biggest rap star in the world. It was a perfect bridge between the two artists that could have been a way to possibly collab one day. But no. Let’s try for a quick pay day and burn that bridge to the ground. Dumb.
While I am more of an old-skool type... I am also a fan of wordplay. Em is simply the best at making the listener need to think about how many layers are involved. While I would say that some groups like Public Enemy have more of a clear message, it's not crouched within the deftness of Em's delivery. Also, like the react people, it's fn difficult to keep up with songs like this. He speaks every syllable perfectly, but is just so fast that a brain can not really keep pace with it while still getting those double/triples.
That song is dope AF !!! You can't talk about the best of rap artists ever without mentioning Em... Em is definitely on the list... As big as he is, I still feel he doesn't get the respect that he deserves. Straight facts! Thx for the review!
I love watching teenagers and young adults react to em. He's THE genius of rap and proudly, is a part of my generation. I grew up listening to him so seeing young people be shocked by his talent always makes me feel nostalgic
Em's double entendres are just phenomenal. "I'm omni potent(omnipotent)" omni meaning all encompassing/everything/everyway, potent meaning having high strength/power and then we have omnipotent, the simplest real world example would be "god", ie having the ability to do anything and everything, complete unrestricted power. Then of course we have the classic church line. "You're witnessing a massacre(a mass occur) like you're watching a church gathering take place" there's so much more to this line than a simple double entrendre, this one to me, has so many layers to it which encompass so many facets of humanity. Truly one of the great artists to have blessed us with their gift!
I grew up on Eminem from the very beginning and it's always a pleasure to see another Stan being made 💯. This was a freestyle as well which just makes it even more special. He's definitely the G.O.A.T to me and millions of others for a reason. My favourite album ever is the Marshall Mathers LP.
Fun eminem fact....he's in the Guinness book of world records for being the fastest rapper squeezes 225 words into one 30-second segment Em The Goat Of Hip Hop Forever!✍🏽👊🏽🐐🔥🎯💯(Em Penmanship Is Just Unmatched and just to clarify EMINEM HAS NEVER FELL OFF HE HAS TOOK BREAKS BUT NEVER EVER FELL OFF!)
He's in the book for a few things. First it was rap God. Then he beat that on majesty and finally again on Godzilla. He's also in it for most number 1 consecutive rap albums (10)
I never really liked rap when younger but enjoyed Eminem. Now that I'm older, I've started enjoying some rap more, and Eminem has introduced me to, by the way of common music playing on apps, more rap I actually enjoy. He has to be by far the most influential rapper ever. Atleast in terms of the scope of people he has reached with his music.
Here's the all the lyrics: Look, I was gonna go easy on you Not to hurt your feelings But I'm only going to get this one chance Something's wrong, I can feel it (Six minutes) Just a feeling I've got Like something's about to happen But I don't know what If that means what I think it means We're in trouble, big trouble And if he is as bananas as you say I'm not taking any chances You are just what the doc ordered I'm beginnin' to feel like a Rap God, Rap God All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod Now, who thinks their arms are long enough To slap box, slap box? I love seeing your son's reactions! Is he hearing these tracks for the 1st time? It's so awesome to see a teenager enjoy the music we grew up with, and your son is hella lucky that his dad is educating him on real rap 😊 I feel bad for kids today who will never get to appreciate the music of our era! outSTANding!!!
I get what you’re trying to say but there is no such thing as real rap everyone has different opinions and teenagers do appreciate the music back then (i am one) and there are still if not more lyrical rappers today than there ever was and alot more talented they are just not appreciated enough. Also i highly doubt this is his first time hearing this song because if it was he would’ve had to of been living under a rock,in a cave, under the sea, under 50 boats. If you want real lyrical rappers like back then listen to rappers from the uk not USA because uk rappers are amazing at it. Here is a track to get you started. Santan dave-heart attack.
@@shuuuuushhshs2698 I'm a teenager myself and I will say- the rappers nowadays are nowhere near as talented in comparison to the rap gods ('Pac, Eminem, Eazy-E, ect. ) They don't even come close when they just say the same phrase over and over then end it with "yuh".
@@rage9755 then you’re just listening to shitty American rap. Listen to 1.) ua-cam.com/video/7nnLBzzQk-I/v-deo.html 2.) ua-cam.com/video/LD3cNc2DpcQ/v-deo.html There’s 3 fucking amazing uk artists dave probably being the most skilled rapper in the world imo. Heres another one 3.) ua-cam.com/video/ThNdNnhkMcA/v-deo.html That’s a really good australian drill group who were inspired by one of the most iconic drill groups called ‘harlem spartans’ who are from kennington in london city in England (i know Americans aren’t that good at geography or don’t normally know anything outside of their country no offence so harlem spartans are basically a uk drill group from uk and most of their members from their gang are now either dead or in prison even the most talented one probably called mizormac with only some still alive and successful). Incase you didn’t know gun laws are alot stricter in uk so alot of gamg deaths and either zk’s (zombie knife is basically a knife designed that when it goes through you it rips your guts out),kitchen knives and machetes. So if you hear slang like ching or splash it means stab not shoot and stuff like bun means shoot cos they do have guns to just alot stricter. Also it’s alot less divided in uk so every race is bad (hood) and good (grew up wealthy) like a white man can be the toughest guy there and black being brought up the best. Except every race is in the hood (it’s called endz in uk not hood) like white, black, asian, turkish, everything very diverse. Infact here’s another rapper from the uk who’s very talented ua-cam.com/video/v_2gC8wRU8c/v-deo.html
@@rage9755 i think eminem is really overrated. Yes he’s amazing but not as good lyrically as dave and wretch 32 imo. Although i will say i think eminem is the best at rhyming in rap overall.
Godzilla' marks the third time Eminem has held the record for fastest rap: on 2013's 'Rap God' he spat out 157 syllables in just 16.3 seconds (that's 9.6 syllables per second), and his verse on Minaj's 'Majesty' in 2018 contained 123 syllables in 12 seconds (10.2 syllables per second).Jan 24, 202
People saying “if Em is so good why don’t his songs get played at the club” is like saying “if Gordon Ramsay is such a good chef, why isn’t his food served at McDonald’s?”
My Brotha, first I want to tip my hat to you for raising a nice and respectable young man. You can just see his admiration for you through these reactions. Second, you gotta do “Medicine Man” featuring Eminem by Dr. Dre. Hands down one of my favorite verses. Plus give a chance to teach the youngin about Lou Rawls.
Man, I grew up about 20 minutes from him, and I love seeing a father take such an interest with his son. Bless you, sir, for taking an active interest and sharing your experience with your son, and teaching him that true talent isn't about race.
I remember when Eminem hit with his LPs I was in high school, we all heard him for the first time. Now imagine getting to be there when someone else experiences Eminem for the first time. That’s awesome!
1,560 words The song entered the 2015 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records in which Eminem is commended for the most words in a hit single, "Rap God", totalling 1,560 words in 6 minutes, 3 seconds.
E is the gosh damn lyrical & rap G.O.A.T. way to your son on game.... real hip hop makes you rewind and listen to bars over just to get it and the levels.... GOAT respect to young man for getting it!!
That insane fast part my daughter has been singing for yrs now .. everytime I’m just gobsmacked how good she is at rapping since she was little ( not from me haha) she doesn’t get how good she is at it .. sup from Australia 😜
I'm so thankful to have grown up listening to Em from his first lp on.. Shout out to my parents r.i.p. for not sensering my music. He really helped me through some hard times
Eminem is a great rapper!! Tupac was always my favorite, and I’m not necessarily a hip hop, rap fan..these days. I grew up listening to NWA, Dre, Snoop…..etc. I got older(44 now), and I just listen to my old-school, now. I love the truth of the music! Believe it or not, my favorite genre is Motown. People shouldn’t look at “race” as far as any decisions go!!!! Eminem broke some stereotypes!!! It’s not about color……..it’s about who you are. Great video guys! When you’re strong enough to bridge some gaps, you’re strong!! That’s what it’s all about!!
My 12 year old boy got into some tik tok thing a year or so back where people were singing this song. He didn't even really know who em was but showed me this video and he couldn't believe it when I knew every word to it! One of my best cool dad moments! Haha.
I really enjoyed you and your sons reactions! Especially your son 😀 You can tell he just enjoyed his Dad turning him on too stuff that his Dad grew up on. And Em is the 🐐
Also there was a lawsuit for Eminem using the looking boy scheme that said it was in violation for copyright but he ended up winning it, Eminem is the goat!
Yea em has been put in guineas book of world records several different times. If I'm not mistaking, I think he was put in there for something recently In the last few years. I can tell your son really liked this one.
You are a really good dad. You can see how he wants to please you. Makes me so happy to see that. Still see that in my kids eyes. It is a wonderful thing. Hope that never changes for either of us. Keep safe sir.
When Ems starts his verse at 9:09, you can see the exact moment when Just Halfs son becomes an Em fan at 9:25. You can see how his mood changes haha. I hope you guys react to some of Ems older songs, that would be great.
Independently of the bars, whether you like them or not, production on this song is crazy, from the different beats, to the inserts, to the different cadences, visuals and bass. A masterpiece delivered by a god!

I think Busta still has the record, but that would be including a lot of 'ha' 'woo' 'yah' and 'ah's
Chip fu!
"Full of myself but still hungry" is my favorite line in this one.
I don't know how to make songs like that... I don't know what words to use.
That line always cracks me up.
Eminem is the GOAT. Period. I'm new, but you definitely got me with this, awesome to see the younger generation seeing Em's magic! Dude is an absolute genius with the English language.
Well, “Rap God” _used_ to be the hit single with the most words spoken, now it’s “Godzilla”.
Nope. Rap God still has more words.
It's a 6 minute song.
Godzilla has the faster verse.
@@kristijantomic613 yeah exactly, and he goes really hard only in the end speed wise on Godzilla. In Rap God it's pretty much constant chopping whit some a bit slower parts here and there.
Yup!
@@NFTens Exactly what I said.
Came for Em..stayed for the father / son interaction. This is wholesome bro ✌
"You're witnessing a massacre (a mass occur) like you're watching a church gathering take place lookin boy" is one of those classic Em bars!! I've always loved this track 🔥
Yea that bar is so sick
Your boy looks like he is straight up studying Em’s lyrics. I love it. Props to your boy for giving it a chance. So many are stuck in their ways, but he’s open to listening.
he raps supersonic, and you can still understand every word
We're J J Fad and we're here to rock! I think I may still have this 45 somewhere!
@@patrickpeek3645 not many get the HUGE jj fad homage of the speedy part!!!
The song is called “Lookin Boy” by Hot Stylz feat. Yung Joc
He also got sued for it too. I remember reading it one of them couldn’t care less and was quite happy em used it but I’m guessing the other one just wanted a payday and sued em
@@deconstruction5393 i can't imagine he would win the lawsuit. It's not like em stole the lyrics just the lookin boy part.
@@got2strpk yeah I don’t know if he won it or not, I’m assuming not but prob just fancied a payday haha
Fuck. I'm so goddamn old.
Dumb.
Busta Rhymes was in a group called Leaders of the New School.
"I use it as a vehicle to bus a rhyme, now I lead a new school full of students"
He's so fucking smart.
KING OF THE DOUBLE AND TRIPLES HIS CADENCE ON THESE TRACKS IS INSANE.
I owe Eminem my life, and would like to say thank you...for being you
That song is dope AF !!! You can't talk about the best of rap artists ever without mentioning Em... Em is definitely on the list... As big as he is, I still feel he doesn't get the respect that he deserves. Straight facts! Thx for the review!
True though. He isn't as big as he should be, if we judge based on talent
I love watching teenagers and young adults react to em. He's THE genius of rap and proudly, is a part of my generation. I grew up listening to him so seeing young people be shocked by his talent always makes me feel nostalgic
I hadn't listened to Eminem in many years and my first reaction to this was the same. He is the rap God, even Dre had to bow down.
True👑
Excited for this one even before watching. Keep educating the young man. Eminem is unrivalled #GOAT
Did This Fool Just Say The "World Book Of Genesis!!!?" LMAO! I'm Dead!!!!
Yes this fool did 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏽♂️
Underated bar, full of my self and still hungry.
K.a.a.n took that a long time ago

If that's a record then it has to be for artists on the Billboard. If not, it's flat out wrong. Em isn't in the conversation for fastest.
I like this because he's passing down his luv for Em, and because Em is still the best, so he can't be ignored.
This song inspired rappers all around the damn world
This is just iconic for that reason alone
This dad and son goals for sure. Love it. Cheers guys.
That is truly amazing Half! It's nothing like spending time with your son.

@@unkn0wn894 infinite is a must
the nuts part is he performed this live...
Crazy when I saw it
Here's the all the lyrics:
Look, I was gonna go easy on you
Not to hurt your feelings
But I'm only going to get this one chance
Something's wrong, I can feel it
(Six minutes)
Just a feeling I've got
Like something's about to happen
But I don't know what
If that means what I think it means
We're in trouble, big trouble
And if he is as bananas as you say
I'm not taking any chances
You are just what the doc ordered
I'm beginnin' to feel like a Rap God, Rap God
All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod
Now, who thinks their arms are long enough
To slap box, slap box?
They said I rap like a robot, so call me Rap-bot
But for me to rap like a computer
It must be in my genes
I got a laptop in my back pocket
My pen'll go off when I half-cock it
Got a fat knot from that rap profit
Made a livin' and a killin' off it
Ever since Bill Clinton was still in office
With Monica Lewinsky feelin' on his nutsack
I'm an MC still as honest
But as rude and as indecent as all hell
Syllables, skill-a-holic (Kill 'em all with)
This flippity dippity-hippity hip-hop
You don't really wanna get into a pissin' match
With this rappity brat, packin' a MAC
In the back of the Ac'
Backpack rap crap, yap-yap, yackety-yack
And at the exact same time
I attempt these lyrical acrobat stunts
While I'm practicin' that
I'll still be able to break a motherfuckin' table
Over the back of a couple of faggots and crack it in half
Only realized it was ironic
I was signed to Aftermath after the fact
How could I not blow?
All I do is drop F-bombs
Feel my wrath of attack
Rappers are havin' a rough time period
Here's a maxi pad
It's actually disastrously bad for the wack
While I'm masterfully constructing this masterpiece as
'Cause I'm beginnin' to feel like a Rap God, Rap God
All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod
Now, who thinks their arms are long enough to slap box, slap box?
Let me show you maintainin' this shit ain't that hard, that hard
Everybody wants the key and the secret
To rap immortality like Ι have got
Well, to be truthful the blueprint's
Simply rage and youthful exuberance
Everybody loves to root for a nuisance
Hit the Earth like an asteroid
Did nothing but shoot for the Moon since (Pew!)
MCs get taken to school with this music
'Cause I use it as a vehicle to "bus the rhyme"
Now I lead a new school full of students
Me? I'm a product of Rakim
Lakim Shabazz, 2Pac, N.W.A, Cube, hey Doc, Ren
Yella, Eazy, thank you, they got Slim
Inspired enough to one day grow up
Blow up and be in a position
To meet Run-D.M.C., induct them
Into the motherfuckin' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Even though I'll walk in the church
And burst in a ball of flames
Only Hall of Fame I'll be inducted in
Is the alcohol of fame
On the wall of shame
You fags think it's all a game
'Til I walk a flock of flames
Off a plank and, tell me what in the fuck are you thinkin'?
Little gay-lookin' boy
So gay I can barely say it with a straight face
Lookin' boy (Ha-ha!)
You're witnessin' a massacre
Like you're watching a church gathering take place, lookin' boy
"Oy vey, that boy's gay!"-that's all they say, lookin' boy
You get a thumbs up, pat on the back
And a "way to go" from your label every day, lookin' boy
You're witnessin' a massacre
Like you're watching a church gathering take place, lookin' boy
"Oy vey, that boy's gay!"-that's all they say, lookin' boy
You get a thumbs up, pat on the back
And a "way to go" from your label every day, lookin' boy
Hey, lookin' boy! What you say, lookin' boy?
I get a "hell yeah" from Dre, lookin' boy
I'ma work for everything I have
Never asked nobody for shit
Get outta my face, lookin' boy!
Basically, boy, you're never gonna be capable
Of keepin' up with the same pace, lookin' boy, 'cause-
I'm beginnin' to feel like a Rap God, Rap God
All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod
The way I'm racin' around the track
Call me NASCAR, NASCAR
Dale Earnhardt of the trailer park, the White Trash God
Kneel before General Zod
This planet's Krypton-no, Asgard, Asgard
So you'll be Thor, I'll be Odin
You rodent, I'm omnipotent
Let off, then I'm reloadin'
Immediately with these bombs, I'm totin'
And I should not be woken
I'm the walkin' dead, but I'm just a talkin' head
A zombie floatin'
But I got your mom deep-throatin'
I'm out my Ramen Noodle
We have nothin' in common, poodle
I'm a Doberman, pinch yourself in the arm
And pay homage, pupil
It's me, my honesty's brutal
But it's honestly futile if I don't
Utilize what I do though
For good at least once in a while
So I wanna make sure somewhere in this
Chicken scratch I scribble and doodle enough rhymes
To maybe try to help get some people through tough times
But I gotta keep a few punchlines
Just in case, 'cause even you unsigned
Rappers are hungry lookin' at me like it's lunchtime
I know there was a time where once I
Was king of the underground
But I still rap like I'm on my Pharoah Monch grind
So I crunch rhymes, but sometimes when you combine
Appeal with the skin color of mine
You get too big and here they come tryin'
To censor you like that one line
I said on "I'm Back" from The Mathers LP 1 when I
Tried to say I'll take seven kids from Columbine
Put 'em all in a line, add an AK-47, a revolver and a 9
See if I get away with it now
That I ain't as big as I was, but I'm
Morphin' into an immortal, comin' through the portal
You're stuck in a time warp from 2004 though
And I don't know what the fuck that you rhyme for
You're pointless as Rapunzel with fuckin' cornrows
You write normal? Fuck being normal!
And I just bought a new raygun from the future
Just to come and shoot ya, like when Fabolous made Ray J mad
'Cause Fab said he looked like a fag at Mayweather's pad
Singin' to a man while he played piano
Man, oh man, that was a 24-7 special on the cable channel
So Ray J went straight to the radio station
The very next day, "Hey Fab, I'ma kill you!"
Lyrics comin' at you at supersonic speed (J.J. Fad)
Uh, summa-lumma, dooma-lumma, you assumin' I'm a human
What I gotta do to get it through to you I'm superhuman?
Innovative and I'm made of rubber
So that anything you say is ricochetin' off of me
And it'll glue to you and
I'm devastating, more than ever demonstrating
How to give a motherfuckin' audience
A feeling like it's levitating
Never fading, and I know the haters are forever waiting
For the day that they can say I fell off, they'll be celebrating
'Cause I know the way to get 'em motivated
I make elevating music, you make elevator music
"Oh, he's too mainstream."
Well, that's what they do when they get jealous
They confuse it
"It's not hip-hop, it's pop, "-'cause I found a hella way to fuse it
With rock, shock rap with Doc
Throw on "Lose Yourself" and make 'em lose it
"I don't know how to make songs like that
I don't know what words to use."
Let me know when it occurs to you
While I'm rippin' any one of these
S that versus you
It's curtains, I'm inadvertently hurtin' you
How many verses I gotta murder to
Prove that if you were half as nice
Your songs you could sacrifice virgins too?
Ugh, school flunky, pill junkie
But look at the accolades these skills brung me
Full of myself, but still hungry
I bully myself 'cause I make me do
What I put my mind to
And I'm a million leagues above you
Ill when I speak in tongues
But it's still tongue-in-cheek fuck you
I'm drunk, so, Satan, take the fucking wheel
I'ma sleep in the front seat
Bumpin' Heavy D and the Boyz
Still "Chunky but Funky"
But in my head there's something
I can feel tugging and struggling
Angels fight with devils
And here's what they want from me
They're askin' me to eliminate some of the women hate
But if you take into consideration the bitter hatred
I have, then you may be a little patient
And more sympathetic to the situation
And understand the discrimination
But fuck it, life's handin' you lemons?
Make lemonade then!
But if I can't batter the women
How the fuck am I supposed to bake them a cake then?
Don't mistake him for Satan; it's a fatal mistake
If you think I need to be overseas and take a vacation
To trip a broad, and make her fall on her face and
Don't be a retard - Be a king? Think not
Why be a king when you can be a God?
I think a lot of people miss that he is switching styles the entire time, which is impressive not only that he's doing it but that it's so seem less it's overlooked.
Its brilliant. More impressive than the fast part honestly. The song is a masterclass masterpiece
Also like a lot of his songs it is a masterclass in wordplay.

There’s 3 fucking amazing uk artists dave probably being the most skilled rapper in the world imo.
