Watching this because that’s the exact reason why I’m thinking about starting one. I just want a chance for daughter to have friends she can get together with. Thanks for sharing your tips!
kristinadenise2011 Well I can tell you it works, we just got back from one of our park days and my kiddos are worn out from playing with their friends! If you have any questions about what our group looks like feel free to reach out and good luck!
If I'm being entirely honest, the reason you started a co-op is the exact same reason as why I'm trying to get a co-op all set up (with the help of my mom). I was supposed to go to highschool and was really excited, but then we switched to homeschool and I was very disappointed. Then I learned about co-ops but there are none for highschool within a reasonable driving distance, so my mom is helping me start one so I still get all the fun memories and social interaction. Thank you for your video it was very helpful.
I just stumbled upon your video and thank you so much! I’m starting one within our AFB community and I’d love to hear what kinds of activities you have done before within your co-op.
Thank you for sharing thinking about starting a homeschool group/Coop for my area. Would I need to register the group as a non-profit organization? Thank you!
For His Glory Hi there! I’m not sure. We don’t take any money up. I either do it out of pocket, or request parents chip in by bringing supplies or running a class themselves. If you’re adding money to the mix the best thing to do would be to speak to an accountant or lawyer.
I did not charge any money so no, I did not. If you were planning on charging a fee and making a profit, I imagine it would vary per state what the rules are.
I am not. We stopped because of Covid and I have instead dedicated my time to building our church's children's program. Once I get a firm handle on that I plan on starting the co-op back up!

Yes! I am in the dream phase. I would love to see activities or more specifics in getting it off the ground.
This is a very late comment but I'd be happy to show more videos about the co-op!
@@coffeeandcrayons that would be great! The current "stay-at-home" situation has me stalled anyway. Any tips or help appreciated! 😃

Awesome! Did you form a legal nonprofit (501c3) organization and is this necessary for me? Thank you!!!

Are you still doing co op today?
