      they are all over the place in the hot, dry areas of Arizona...both as ornamental and wild ones that got away.

      Hey, I don't see a lot of these in SoCal, maybe out where it is hotter and more desert-like.

    Could you grow these in MN?

      Pretty hard, these guys like super hot, direct sun; grows in zones 8 and above. It will die in winter climates. However, if you try, you will need to bring it indoors during later Fall through Spring.

      Technically fəˈbāsēˌē or Fah-bay-see-eee, but most people say it like Fah-bay-see-aye, cuz eee-eee sounds sort of awkward.
