I have been using my Free T4 for several months along with a separate pliers. The T4 is perhaps one of the most underrated Leatherman tools. Thanks for the video.

lol I watched this after I ordered a T4. I'm one of those guys who watches reviews after I order a product out of excitement. Lost it when you threw the cheap knife 😄😄 Glad you like it. I love my Swiss army knife, and tend to like buck knives. I like simple and light in the pocket. I own a leatherman wave and it's just way too much for me, so I figured I'd give this a try as a nice middle ground. Great review!
The T4 is an awesome small MT. The blade is an awl with a sowing eye. It's a better package opener than the labeled package opener.
Nice review….. I found your channel looking for a review on the leatherman free T4. I did buy one, and now carry it full time. I also own a leatherman wave plus that I was carrying prior to the free T4.

It’s called an “Awl” you dig in things like leather and PVC
I believe that's an awl. I plan on getting this one and I think think the awl would be good for making pilot holes for drilling.
That's exactly what I use mine for. Works great. I also use it as a poker to clean out my weed pipe lol.

@@macgyverbryan1377 Thanks, Mate. These fires are seasonal & every 10 years they worsen due to no hazard reduction burning of the dry grasses in winter. Queensland where the worst fires were are now hit by heavy rains & flooding.

Hey! I’m an Aussie from QLD. Do you carry this leatherman out in public? I’m asking because I want to get one and I’m afraid it might get confiscated by police 😬
@@esad5510 Sydney, NSW here & I have not yet purchased one. I see it as being a tool & not as a weapon. I used to work in the security industry & carried a Leatherman on my Duty Belt. I wear a suit & tie usually for work & now carry a Fury Folder with a 4cm blade. There is a bottle opener / screwdriver built into the handle. A blade the length of your little finger is a good guide & as I am opening packages on the fly, I can justify the use, But of course this is open to interpretation of the individual police officer. (PS these Fury folders were $20 AUD for 3 via Amazon).
The tool you didn’t know what it was is an awl. Pretty much used to make a hole in things by twisting it on some wood. I have used it when measuring and to start a hole for a screw, it will be spot on every time
