I totally understand how you feel, it’s really sad cos in Africa we don’t face this so when it did happen to me at work I was also lost of words and I don’t even have the courage to tell the whole ordeal. Thank you for sharing
Sometimes we are even discriminated by our work colleagues. That’s all another level of discrimination, i have experienced that too 😏 But hey, we are still standing 😅
Thank you for the value and respect of a client, because each person is uniquely created in God's image, so that value and respect with a smile while attending to him is the way to keep up and the rest you live it to God.
😥 so sorry that happened and interestingly we all know it happens but when it does, it's still surprises you🤦♀️. Some situations can leave you speechless and all you can do is smile. First of all I am so proud of the way you handled it💞. And the reason it did not click in the first place is because you are not he kind and you wouldn't expect it from another (unfortunately not the reality) just because you would never treat another human like that. Without a doubt, I would have done exactly that and then later have a meeting with my board members (in my head) about what happened 😂
This can be a very confusing situation to be in. Sometimes you dont even know how to react because you don’t know if it is racism or the person is mistaken. Glad you handled it just the right way. I hope he apologises the next time you have an appointment with him. Maybe you shd ask him why he thought that next time.
Am so sorry that happened to you Cynthia, but this is a typical case of racism because in his head he doesn't believe you have the knowledge or capacity to solve his problem just by your skin colour. I might be wrong but I have had similar experiences in Dubai but usually with workmates not clients

It’s quiet not normal how some people here think that Africans are not fit to do certain jobs YET we outsmart some (if not most) of them 😅😅😅
Race is all you've got. Everyone knows the IQ averages are massively different.
Lady.... Racism is like sarcasm...... Its a sign of a rotten brain.....
