I completely agree about the sunscreen. When it's beautiful (and/or expensive) I find myself under-applying. It's one reason I try to stick to affordable options for sunscreen and save my splurges for other skincare. I'm loving these re-reviews, btw 💞
I’m not alone! Yep, it’s yet another reason I love k-beauty. They have beautiful sunscreens but usually very affordable, which means I can slather it on guilt-free lol
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Me too on k-beauty! I love that you can often buy the sunscreens in multipacks which makes them even more affordable, which is what I do for the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen
I love the kopari deodorant. My husband is a carpenter and he says it's one of the only deodorants that keep him from smelling exactly like he was on a construction site all day lmao
Thanks for sharing!
I got a 3 pack of the kopari lip glossies in tropical paradise at TJ Maxx for $14.99 which also included the clear one. And I love them! You’re so right about how comfortable and emollient they are.
Whaaat that’s such a good price!!
Body care is a good gift idea. ❌️⭕️
one thing I find fascinating on their website is for the refills, a 2-pack is the exact same price as buying two single ones, and the same goes for the deodorant 4-pack vs two 2-pack, as if there is a KPI for # of product SKU, lol
👀 …I wonder if they are aware of that lol!
side note i am so happy i discovered beauty bay ships to where i live because i have been drolling over bubble, kopari and other products that were previously not accesible to me so this re-review series works perfectly for me to figure out what are must-tries and not
So glad to see a video from you ,alice 🎉 ❤ xx
🥰🥰
Oh kopari body care and new face cream!
Unrelated to anything but I love your outfit!
Great review as always. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
Hope you have a great week too! 😃
I love coconut oil for the body! Their melts are my absolute favorite in the summer months!!!
That top is everything! Luv the look ❌️⭕️
Thank you! 😁
I have an unopened tub of the face moisturizer. I should open it! I need a plan.
9 seconds in and I’m down here to say you look so cuuuuuuute! Now back to the video thingie…
Thank you! 😄
Love scented body care products. Very cautious though with facial care products. Love the Kopari shower oil, body oil, and their body butters.
Thank you for this! LOVE Kopari! Favs are Ultra Restore Body Butter (that scent!!!), the ceramide face cream, the body sun screens, and the lip gloss. Can’t wait to try more!
Thank you for sharing! 😃
I 💕 Kopari! I picked up Guava Body Butter with HA after you recommended the brand. It’s ah-mazing. I will look for the refills. The frosted style container is like the whipped texture of their formulas. It’s a beautiful product inside & out. I’m going to pick up their spfs this summer.
Thank you for reviewing things I have yet to try!
They really do have their aesthetic down pat!
Yes the guava body butter is life.
I want good smells in my body care, too!! Problem is I’m a machinist and during the workday I break out in massive hives when I use scented body care along with the chemicals I come in contact with. Boring work week luscious weekend 🫠
Oh noooo! 😭😭
See that’s even more reason why weekends should be a little longer IMO lol. There’s never quite enough hours in them 🥲
I've never tried a Kopari product. I usually use Hempz, recently tried the brand Saltair, much less expensive. They have body wash, lotions & deodorant with amazing scents!! Their packaging is aluminum and aesthetically pleasing. I love scents in my body care, this looks very interesting! Thanks! Many blessings!💖💖💖
Hempz used to be my go-to! Not sure why I stopped buying them as much, but I still think they have nice options 😊
The coconut melts in any scent are my favorites. I have gone through a number of tubs. Also love the lip glossy.
Can I ask how you use them? I have all these ideas in my head for what to do with them, but I rarely…actually use it 😳
I use them after I shower, on my legs, arms, basically everywhere. I especially like it in winter, because my skin feels so dry.
Loved your video! I’m someone who loves smells and love body care. Definitely can’t wait to try because I’m a self tanner and sounds like this brand will be great. Trying to figure out what’s cheapest if buying individual or in the gift sets especially if I’m buying a lot?? Thanks for your code!
You’ll get the best deal by shopping the gift sets! That’s what I do around the holidays, and I often split the items up into my own groupings haha. Plus a lot of the sets have super cute accessories 😍
I have the restore body butter. It is very nice. ❌️⭕️
Hey kiddo. 7:08 PM East
I really feel what you mean about oil composition being different but I experienced it with squalane. The ordinary’s squalane oil kinda sucked for me but biossance’s was the best oil I’d ever tried.
Hi. Cooking and watching ❌️⭕️
It was because of you that I gave kopari a second chance and I have to agree, that face cream is bomb!! I’m almost out which makes me sad since it’s a little harder to get where I live but I would repurchase for sure when I get the chance!
Happy to hear you enjoy it! 😃
I love your content. I have not tried any Kopari anything. Its pricey for my budget. I do love that bucket hat! ❤ i did not see a link. ??
It’s part of the sets! Sadly they don’t sell it alone (although imo they should lol!)
Alice this was great, I’ll give them another shot for sure. I was wondering how are you liking the new Ordinary facial moisturizer?! It’s my new holy grail, I absolutely love it and knowing you gave dry skin like me I was wondering how you felt about it.
I actually still haven’t tried it, somehow! It seems like it will be up my alley though, so I’m definitely going to get around to it. Eventually 😆
I guessed Bifacil! So proud of myself!❤
😱😱😱 how did you do it! I was shocked lol
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I have watched the channel for a while!
🤣 it’s gotta be that “can’t see the forest for the trees” story. I was over here going “but how!??”
That hat is such a good color for you! I was sad about the Kopari lip oil, I really wanted to love it but I just don't.
Yeahhh, it’s so surprising given how good the lip glossy is!
Are the different shades of lip glossy hydrate and moisturize
differently?
you look so cute!!
Thank you! 😃
Thank you! Do you have a k beauty spf hand cream recommendation?
I use make prem’s face and body on my hands (the big ol’ bottle haha!)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole thank you!
I never used Kopari due to the price, but the moisture whipped face cream has been on my cult beauty wish list for a while. I just find it hard to spend so much on just a cream when there are so many cheaper and great K Beauty alternatives. I hate coconut though, the oil causes breakouts and also I don't like the smell. i remember my mum loving it for her hair, but when I tried it, other than the smell i still got breakouts from it as hair tends to touch my face, so I even avoid chair products that contain coconut oil. The body lotions seem lovely though, I would love to try the vanilla one as I love Vanilla scents.
Haha yeah, my mom is a big coconut oil fan too (I think she likes the kopari tropical version, funny enough). Meanwhile I’m working my way through the same tub I’ve had for….a while 🤫🤣
I enjoy the original sunscreen, KP scrub (prefer FAB slightly), and original scent ultra restore body butter. I still have the moisturizer from the Ulta sale to try and I kind of want to give the sun shield soft glow a try this winter. Also disappointed in the tripeptide lip treatment and I am a lip oil lover! The crush scrub lover was not a winner for me.
Thanks for sharing! I can see sun shield being a perfect winter sunscreen
I’m in the Rabbit Hole!! Love you alice❤
🐰🥰
19:43 😂😂😂
It’s so hard to resist 🎅
🤣😂🤣
Love this! I have some Kopari Tahitian Vanilla from TJ Maxx and it's the only Kopari I have, but I love it.
For one of your next re-trials/re-reviews, my vote is for Drunk Elephant! Only- go ahead and skip the hair products lol; you'll just be wasting valuable time that you could use focusing on their face products! 😊
Have you tried any DE products? I've tried the la la moisturizer and their newer body lotion. Sadly I didn't like either one. I'm curious about their peptide moisturizer though. I just wish they weren't so darn expensive 😢
I remember finding kopari at TJ Maxx myself: it felt like such a score lol!
Ooh good to know, thanks for the heads up (no pun intended)!
@Paula Yarbrough Idk if you meant me or Alice but I've tried all their moisturizers, including eye cream and the body lotion (which u can use on your face). I did like the lala retro but my favorite is the Protini peptide moisturizer. From what I see and hear, it's probably their hero product IMO.
I was wondering is the ULTA APP worth downloading?? I appreciate anyone's input ❤ thank you 😊
I’d say it is as they sometimes do app only specials. However, make sure you complete check out through Rakuten when you can (which you don’t get credit for if you check out through the app 😭)
Alice, I have memories of your first mentions of Kopari and that seems such a long time ago! You’ve definitely explored the brand thoroughly.
Oh I have to send you a quick vid of the current status of my half-finished Fresh Kombucha Essence. It’s not pretty. 😬
I think it was a very long time ago, but then…what is time (oh no there she goes again 🤣🤣)
Uhoh! 😳
Oh, another video to refer folks to, lol. People are always asking some derm channel if they'd review Kopari.
*faint sound of crickets* I'm sitting here asking myself "am I a lip oil person?!" I need to review my lip glosses... tomorrow... when the Advil PM wears off 😆
I think I just like the feel of gloss over oil. It’s almost surprising as I do like facial oils? Haven’t figured myself out there lol
@@AliceintheRabbitHoleI've come to the conclusion that I like thicker lip products. Thinner consistencies seem to disappear from my lips. I have finally converted to team facial oil! I had spent my entire life with my face being an oil slick and it is hard to change your mindset to dry after that! But I finally put some on before bed one night and BOOM! the next morning, my face was SO MUCH smoother. It was crazy. Now I slather it on every night... unless I'm too sleepy and forget... and then my forehead especially is the Sahara haha. Getting older is so much fun. 😋
Oh and your blush🤌🤌🤦♀️
Thank you! It’s the Benefit Terra one I got from the UO sale. Such a fun shade 😃
Bum Bum isn't that moisturizing to me. The scent smells great. I have to be in the mood. I just picked up the Sol De Janero When in Rio limited Edition spay. It smells really good. I ordered it and got it today. Tomorrow I will give it the full test❌️⭕️
Ooh what’s it smell like? I was so tempted to try those, but i felt confused by the scent descriptions and gave up 🤣
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Bergamot and Amber. It smells good!❌️⭕️
Hi, please tell me if this is a legit company. They contacted me via email.
13:12 maybe for the oil using taste would be intuitive? everyone i persume have tried strawberries. Just because they come in the same box doesnt mean they all taste the same and if you imagine they grow in various places they would vary even for in flavour due to the nutrition in the earth, sunlight etc. But those are only the difference in taste in skincare properties for an oil there would be similar nuance.
i hope taste can be a useful example i just think it might be more tangible.
What education did you take? cand. in what or somthing different? (your field sounds so intresting but i am not sure which direction you took so to speak).
Yes!! That’s a great way of seeing it. I think the core problem is that some people believe “chemical=bad, natural=good”. And from that framework, it’s very hard to reposition chemicals as…you know, what that word ACTUALLY means. I’m still confused as to how natural is always good though (didn’t we all learn about Socrates in grade school? Isn’t it common knowledge that venomous snakes exist???)
MS Human Nutrition (research based) 😃
@@AliceintheRabbitHole i fully agree but i used to have the same perspective i just feel it is very much pushed on us because instead of saying something that is less natural just happens to be unhealthy like spending too much time sitting with your pc or eating a ton of french fries it is often presented that it is 'unatural' so unatural quickly gets used to descibe unhealthy too.
Do you mean you focused on research or that it was a specific line under human nutrition you choose?
Yuuup. It gets murky quite easily!
There are two paths in nutrition, dietetics or research. I can do all aspects of research (including outside of my field), but I cannot make a diet plan. I wouldn’t have a clue where to start with that lol!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole thanks! it's very helpful
😂😂😂😂❌️⭕️
Shame on u 😳😂rare beauty's lip oil isn't a lip oil it's a stain 😝 I saw the Koparie spf at marshals to I always find alot of their stuff at marshals. Fenty came out with the hydrovizer spf that is mineral now . I hate being sensitive to chem filters and I hate mineral filters too thank goodness for Korean skincare I would never even try to ware an spf .
🤣🤣 it really is though. I couldn’t believe it when I first tried it: was over here going “it even says on the packaging made in Korea!? It’s a STAIN!!” (I like it as such, but it’s not an oil, truly)
Yeah the sunscreen struggle is frustrating. I want to be able to try so many more than I do, but it’s a scary risk. I don’t want to end up having another reaction as…well…those are awful! 😭
TIL it's boom boom and not bumm bumm
Yep, I was so surprised when I learned that as well
🎶bum bum bum bum, I want you in my rum🎶 (??????)
