I just got this on sale today at Home Depot for $149. For the weed eater, battery and charger. It’s amazing. Super powerful and cuts/edges extremely well.
I cannot find any attachments for it since it uses the electric connection instead of a shaft drive. That said, it probably doesn't have quite enough power to run anything heavy like an edger or pole saw.
Forgot to mention for 22 on Amazon you can upgrade to new speed head. That comes in the new replacement trimmer to this model. Otherwise they’re the same, except for setting which make no difference
Can you tell me the exact name for the replacement trimmer head on Amazon you are describing? I have this trimmer and I like it, however I don't like the old style head on it. Having trouble finding the right upgrade for it? Thanks
If it’s got a motor head at the end you can’t use attachments. Easiest way to tell. I have small property and love this trimmer. They refer to this precision trimmer, describes it perfectly
Every time I stop my Makita 18V LXT string trimmer, the head spins off. I cannot figure out how to tighten it enough for it to stay on every time I stop my string trimmer. The 3yr warranty just ran out. Any ideas on how I can fix it?
I am putting mine together right now and the instructions mentioned putting the hex wrench and underneath the metal plate when you are first installing the trimmer head. But looking under the hood it looks like there is absolutely no point to that because the hex wrench goes to a hole that is not functional. Any experience with this in your use. I can screw mine on decently tight by hand using the reverse threads, just want to make sure I’m not supposed to be feeling a tighter audible click. There is a whole board out for the wrench to go through to the interplastic but on mine which is the exact same model that Allen wrench has no way of contacting the thread on the receiver screw. Is it the same way with you?

the XUX02 trimmer with pole saw - do you know how to load the string on it?

I’m having the same problem with me. Screwing the trimmer head is a pain in the butt…
I can't get the little allen wrench to do anything
Did that model not come with the little silver wire guard that fit's onto the cowling around the spool?
It came with a knock down knife in the string guard. Is that what you mean?
@@MichaelJLong is that little built in knife to cut off the line if you bump out too much?
@@pryme2013 yes - it seems to do a pretty good job 👍🏻
Curious what auto knife that is?
