With less than 2 months until Overland Expo West, we're tearing down our 2000 Toyota 4Runner expedition rig and overhauling it inside and out. Before we get started, let's take a quick walk around its current stance.
This truck has been a few years in the making, but our goal with this next phase is turning it into a true one-of-a-kind icon of the platform.

Do you have a breakdown of your build posted somewhere on the web?

Hi Weston , really cool channel and builds. What kind of coms do you have and why? Another thing - explaining and listing everything you have is great , but what would be help is functional explanation videos for folks that are new to this community , like myself. For instance : this is a ditch light and this is why you need one kind of stuff. Although this gear is cool, resources prioritizing and learning the functional aspects seems to be lacking. Keep yo the cool work and also try to find some better tunes to edit with brah.

Thanks for the feedback! These were my earlier videos I'd like to think I've improved a little. Check out the 7 day build video the soundtrack is a little more on point. Also wanted to make it a point to explain the mod benefits better and tried doing my best with the latest video but always available to clarify anything! All good points though.
As for coms I just have handheld HAMs and use the FRS frequencies as I don't have a license. In the 3rd gen in this video I had a CB installed. I'd like to hard mount a HAM in the 5th gen but with the handheld it isn't a big priority right now.

Cool build! Seems like a lot of expense for such and old vehicle, but I suppose it's less in the end than buying a new one. Plus you won't have to deal with all the new car techno tomfoolery.

You're absolutely right - there's probably something wrong with us. Once we're able to complete this build how we imagined it in the beginning I think we can finally move on.

Such a old vehicle?!?!?! Lmao it's a yota, take care of it and it will run forever

@@stuntmantravis84 Yeah. True, but when you spend 4 hours changing the door lock actuator motors it starts to get old. Still, my sister's "Smart" subaru lets her lock her key in the car, and if any door gets left open it kills the battery, so in that light, I'm ready for another round of door disassembly...

3rd gen is going up in value, its really a instant classic and modded right your return investment is better then a lot of other modded autos
