true story, bro. Most of the demoes on UA-cam is that 1 000 000 000 rendition of some kind of Van Halen or some other rock guitarist. Ok, they're great guitarists, nonetheless I need some other approaches with these pedals.
@@Thruftinger LMAO, i think the same, I value diversity, eccentricity and beauty in music more, than virtuosity, a la i can play 1000 notes for one second
Might be one of my favorite videos on UA-cam, not only do I love the pedal (even tho it‘s imo a bit too expensive for someone like me who hasn‘t worked with pedals of any sort before) but the music examples are just so relaxing. I watch the video when I want to see some amazing overview of the MD-200 and when I just want to listen to some music I like. Great job with the video production ^^
Great job putting together an artistic pedal demo that really features the sounds and functions of the pedals. On-screen descriptions were super-helpful. This could even function as a tutorial. Thank you for your work.
I was on the fence about which modulator pedal to get after parting ways with the choralflange, but your video is super convincing. It's cool that some of my favorite bands and artists use this pedal as well. Great video and phenomenal sounds my friend thank you for this! I love those sneaky reverse sounds
You’ve made the chorus, vibrato, and phase effects on the MD-200 sound much more tantalizing and useful than I’d expected! I hope that the MD-500 I’m getting sounds similar, though it appears to lack the occasional distortion or fuzz that are on MD-200 (I’m getting the 500 because of the programmable, expanded Slicer effect).
thanks so much keith! the md-200 (in fact all the 200 series) is one of my favourite pedals & my favourite multi-mod pedal. the slicer is also one of my fave effects. i'm after the original sl-20 myself! have fun with the 500 :)
Reminds me of Blithe Field. The song Three Laments has some similar guitar harmonic plays (not tremolo tho) Three Laments ua-cam.com/video/CK9Xs26miiI/v-deo.html
Great video... AS PER YOUSH.😂 I love the BOSS confirmations when they happen- just how many heros resort to using BOSS gear whether from the classics to the now. Great showcasing! B O ⚡️ ⚡️ ✊🏻🌅
pedal partners will we see a video in the future where flanger will be more present than it has? That would be an absolute dream! Love your channel 💙💙💙
That’s just what I thought, because especially if you’re going for the sound of a band like slowdive (who are mentioned on here a lot) you will want to have phaser, chorus and some others on at the same time
i tend to not get too tied up in genre names. a lot of people say they're different in that shoegaze is normally more distorted & dream pop is more ethereal - but a lot of bands in each of the genres have elements which are interchangeable between the two :)
There's a lot of overlap even within in the same band but one distinction I make is that in Shoegaze the vocals blend in with the mix as another texture or effect whereas in Dream Pop there's a tendency to write an actual "pop" song with intelligible lyrics and vocals more up front while the instruments are nonetheless bathed in an ocean or atmosphere of reverb/delay/modulation. Of course there are exceptions so in the end it doesn't matter because most people who like one like the other.
@@frankfrank7921 ok, like the difference between mid period 'Strawberry Wine' MBV and Loveless?. I love that I sm discovering new bands thru this site. I kinda lost touch with this scene after rhe explosion of 88 -93
From what I understand, it is probably from the pedal/slicer effect, but can be dialed out based on preference. If you you look up clips of the original Boss Slicer you will see that it makes that sound, but can be adjusted to be less rhythmic. Hopefully someone chimes in to confirm.
Have you guys ever gotten high and then listened to music and you get that weird feeling in your heart? When I heard that intro that's how my heart felt... Wacky
yes, it's all the modulation you could want in one pedal. including a chorus based on the chorus ensemble, flanger, phaser, tremolo & some nice quirks like pan & slicer!
what's your input at 1'14"? is it a loop through the slicer? did you build your own rythm pattern, this sounds so much like a red panda type of pedal. I just cant come closer with my md500. I'd really appreciate it if you could share a bit of how you programmed the first slicer sounds. thx :)
How does the Chorus/Vibrato stack up to the amp or Boss CE-2w? I had a JC-40, downsized to a JC-22, and really miss the vibrato sound. Will the MD-200 fill in? Thanks for the demos
i haven't tried the ce-2w, but in comparison to my jc-40 it can achieve very similar sounds. it's also more versatile given that you have standard chorus & vibrato modes + ce-1 which in itself has ce-1 chorus & ce-1 vibrato. there's also more control over parameters on the pedal & having tap tempo is a really nice addition, especially when using with delay for example.
Hey Pedal Partners, have you done some modifications to your KC Jag? I have the same guitar but I won't dare using the vibrato because it won't keep in tune, I also replaced the nut with a Tusq (easy work, cheap and big improvement!) but still... What strings are you using? Thank you very much and, as someone else rightly said, best demo of the MD-200!

Damn, two videos back to back! The chorus Ensemble emulation sounds spot on! Keep up the good work man!
i am a one man production line of aesthetically pleasing shoegaze vibes ;) all kidding aside, thanks so much!
Awesome! Best demo I've seen of this pedal yet.
thanks so much that means a lot :D

some of the best choruses ever
Yes, the chorus circuit from the JC amps is my absolute favorite.

is that clicking when the slicer ping pongs L and R produced by the pedal or is that an artifact introduced in mixing or post?
