This is the only book rec channel I watch now. Between the sublime aesthetic and delightfully calm atmosphere with the music and the sweets, you get right to the point with the books - I get a good sense of what the book is about and whether I might enjoy it without it taking 15 minutes. You fit so many books on a theme into the one video but it never feels rushed. Like others have said, I've read many books since finding your channel that I otherwise wouldn't have (my local library has many of them, and I'll be requesting the ones they don't have!) and my daughter has picked up several graphic novels she's thoroughly enjoyed (in fact I've bought her the Tea Dragon Society box set for Christmas 🤫) Thank you, as long as you make these wonderful videos I'll be here to watch them!
Okay - who's chopping onions in the comments section? 🥹😉 But seriously, thank you so much for your heartwarming and encouraging comment 🤗❤️ I really try my best to make the videos aesthetically pleasing as well as summarise the most important information about the books, and it makes me so happy when that is seen and appreciated 📚🫖🥧 Oh, and I hope your daughter will be happy about her Christmas present - that would certainly be the case with me 🎁🎄
Hi Nessa, I'm really intrigued by The Mad Women's Ball! And the pastry sounds delicious too. You always have the best recommendations, it's tough to choose! Thank you my dear friend 🌻🧡🌻
Wonderful and sweet as always ❤ A Poisoner's Tale sounds especially intriguing and so picturesque next to the mug and sweets. You make unique and beautiful art in these videos xo Thank you as ever 💕
The cover of "A Posisoner's Tale" is really great, isn't it? To be honest, that's the main reason I bought it and only gave the blurb a cursory read, haha - I was lucky that the story was just as good 😁📚 Thank you as always for your kind words, they always make me smile 🤗❤️
@amomentofwonder I was honestly thinking the same thing about the cover 😅🌿🩸 Thank ♥️you♥️ for what you do: there's something truly magical about your videos ✨️
I can only agree with you, the film was highly enjoyable. I was delighted at how close they stayed to the novel and kind of just turned the beautiful words into beautiful images. And the actors were also well cast - Gong Li was the perfect Hatsumomo in my opinion 😊❤️
Your channel has introduced several books I would not have run across plus I love the way you do your channel. No gushing loud descriptions it is very peaceful.❤
Thank you for the kind words ❤️ I personally prefer silent videos, so I'm always very happy when someone likes the Brews & Books videos because of their silence 🤗📚
This video made my day and absolutely excited me! I now have sooo many wonderful new recommendations and books added to my ever growing TBR. Haha Thanks again for making such a master piece. ❤❤
First time watching your video. I absolutely loved it. Loved the book recommendations. Loved the desserts. Loved the music. Such a unique and different type of book video. Going to check out your other videos now. Thanks.
Oh, then I'm all the more pleased that you stopped by, thanks ❤️ Next Sunday part 3 with cozy fantasy books will be up - maybe that's more your genre? 🤗🫖📚
To be honest, I'm quite confused by the time change myself - I'm constantly tired and feel like it's time for hibernation soon, haha 😉😁 Thank you for stopping by and the lovely comment 🤗
Thank you Nessa for adding the list of treats and brews along with another enticing list of new reads 😊 love the video! I am curious where do you get your inspiration for your book choice gems? My winter reading list is getting longer 💖
I’ve only read two of those books-Memoir of a Geisha and Mrs. England and really enjoyed them. I will see if I can get the other books from my public library via Libby or Hoopla. Thank you for another charming video of intriguing book recommendations and yummy treats. ❤
I'm always very happy when I meet someone who has read "Memoirs of a Geisha". I enjoyed it SO much and would love to talk about it, but it's frighteningly unknown in my "circle" 😅 I wish you good luck on your hunt for the other books and hope you can get hold of them - and of course have a delightful time reading them 🤗📚
Hi dear, I fell asleep yesterday while watching this video (lolol, sorry) but I couldn't wait to re-watch it this rainy morning here in Uganda.❤️its even more enchanting the second time around🤗The slow music in the background adds to the cozy ambiance, your cozy kitchen and of course the snacks😄What I adore most about your videos is your attention to detail, and I will always say it😍I'm curious about your tea-making process,Are those kettles used for brewing or just for serving? 🤔I'll keep sipping my African tea, eagerly anticipating your next video❤️
Mach weiter so ! Ich warte schon gespannt auf Dein nächstes Werk ❤
Hello my beautiful Nessa❤ Oh how lovely your setting is. You are a great storytelling and all the pastries are really really good. I feel like I am in a library enjoying reading all those books. This video is so dreamy and very entertaining. I have watch downton Abbey both the movie and the series and I love it. I want to read the Mrs England and the Arthor Golden? Sounds like really a good story.
I enjoyed The Familiars by Stacey Halls, so I definitely added Mrs England to my tbr. The Square of Sevens sounds so intriguing and I immediately added it too. I've never heard of The Mad Women's Ball and will be reading that as well. The Shadow Key also sounds amazing.
To be honest, the thought of a million followers makes me a bit anxious, haha 😉 At the moment it feels a bit like we all have a little book club, which I really like 🤗📚 Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️
I can only agree with that! 📚❤️ I know the book received a lot of backlash from Little Women fans who thought a retelling (and especially a change to Jo's story) was an outrage - but I thought it was really sweet and enjoyed it a lot! 🤗
Mrs. England seems like a very interesting book! I have read the author's "The Familiars" which I really enjoyed, but not this one. I also think I shall add The Shadow Key to my to-read list. You don't hear a lot about the Welsh lores and ways of life, I feel. Thank you for sharing your list!
You're right, off the top of my head I can't remember another book I've read that weaves in Welsh folklore or myths 🤔📚 Let me know how you liked "The Shadow Key" if you read it 🤗
So many books I've never heard of! 😮 I love historical fiction ❤❤ Hope I might find some of them at the library 😊 the not buying books this year haven't worked fully, but better then usual 😅 Have yoy read Ariadne? I liked it, but it was so sad I didn't really like reading anything else by Jennifer Saint after thst. Is Atalanta very sad too? I do like my greek stories...
I'm glad that I was able to show you a few new books as a historical fiction lover 🤗 I was half expecting you to say "Oh yes, I've read them all, they were great!" or something 😉📚 The ending of Atalanta wasn't sad, no - it wasn't the ending I had imagined/wished for at the beginning of the book, but it's still fitting and conciliatory. Almost poetic even, I really liked it 👍😊
@amomentofwonder I felt Ariadne was really sad throughout the whole book, not just the end. But I've put myself on queue for Atalanta at the library! No I haven't read any of those books, but heard of some of them. I've read a lot of Historical fiction set during WW2, or WW1, and early 1900, and recently several 1800. I love when authors mixtoday eith history, Like Lucinda Riley and Kate Morton. Have you read anything by Kate Mirton? You would love her books, they are a bit gothic...And have you seen my new video where I show you around my bookshelves? 🥰
Irgendwann besuchen wir alle dein tolles Café und lassen uns von dir deine köstliches Gebäck bringen und sitzen in gemütlichen Sessel und lesen die von dir empfohlenen Bücher❤
I just noticed how well your mugs are matching with the book covers. Nice touch.
I noticed that too! Such a gorgeous attention to detail
I'm happy to hear you noticed that! It doesn't always work of course, but I do my best to make sure everything looks good together 😊🫖📚
You have the best book video's on UA-cam.
That's such a huge compliment, thank you so much 🤗❤️ I'm so glad you're enjoying them 📚🫖

I can only encourage you to do so 😉 Cold and grey november days are perfect for cosy reading hours with treats 📚🥧 Thank you for your kind words 🤗
Another beautiful video! Memoirs of a Geisha was a wonderful book, and I also enjoyed the movie. Just as I enjoy these visits.

The images are beautiful, but I forgot to read in several moments and lost track. It would be superb if there was audio
Thank you my dear 😊
An audio is unfortunately out of the question for various reasons, but thank you very much for the feedback 🤗📚
Me too, I get distracted by the cakes.
First time watching your video. I absolutely loved it. Loved the book recommendations. Loved the desserts. Loved the music. Such a unique and different type of book video. Going to check out your other videos now. Thanks.
Welcome to Brews & Books my Dear! 📚🥧🫖 And thank you so much for your wonderful comment, that's so kind of you 🤗❤️
I'm not that much into Historical Fiction, but I love the vibe of your videos

Out of all The shadow key seems the most up my alley.
I can only encourage you to read it - I really liked it, and i feel it's a good read for this time of the year 🤗📚

@ totally understandable! 😂
Jo and Laurie was such a charming read! Fantastic recommendations as always❤
I can only agree with that! 📚❤️
I know the book received a lot of backlash from Little Women fans who thought a retelling (and especially a change to Jo's story) was an outrage - but I thought it was really sweet and enjoyed it a lot! 🤗
@amomentofwonder I agree! I think the majority of people who review bombed it on places like Goodreads didn't even read it
Mrs. England seems like a very interesting book! I have read the author's "The Familiars" which I really enjoyed, but not this one. I also think I shall add The Shadow Key to my to-read list. You don't hear a lot about the Welsh lores and ways of life, I feel. Thank you for sharing your list!

I would love to, but unfortunately I haven't read the series yet 😖 But I'll definitely keep it in mind, thank you for the suggestion 🤗❤️

I'm sure I'm coming off as rather unknowing now, but I'm not sure which Reese you're talking about 😅📚
@ Rhysand ☺️
@@amomentofwonder I’m so sorry, I think I wrote that comment under the wrong video somehow. Goodness, didn’t even know how that happened. So sorry!
No worries! 🤗 Even if it was an accidental comment - now that I know who it's about, I totally agree with you, haha 😁😉
