@@AhyasCottage The banter with the sentient plants is so cute and funny! If you're able to get access to the audiobook I also recommend that as well. The narrator is probably my personal favorite and I tend to struggle with audiobooks. Hearing the audio for a specific character is also extremely cute!
I sadly realized that the cozy fantasy genre is not for me when it comes to novels, i get bored pretty easily, but i really enjoy it in Manga. I'm not a visual reader, so looking at the art helps me to connect with the story and the characters much better. Like Flying Witch, Laid-Back Camp and Magic Artisan Dahlia Wilts No More are a few of my favorites :)
I would recommend reading "The Lost Bookshop" and "The Story Collector" both by Evie Woods. It has elements of magical realisim but both have cosy vibes. Especially "The Story Collector" it tells the story of an American in the early 1900s who travels to the West Coast of Ireland to collect local stories about the "fairy faith" of the locals in Thornwood village. Set in the rural countryside in West Ireland it has all the cosy vibes. 😊
This sounds like an excellent read! It actually reminded me of a book with a very similar plot it seems, called the story keeper by Anna Mazzola, another great read, please let me know what you think of it if you decide to check it out :)
Ooooh you’ve absolutely sold me on these books!!! I can’t wait to check The Story Collector out especially, thank you so much for the lovely recommendations🥰💕
Such cozy recommendations, thank you so much!! I just finished Tress of the Emerald Sea and LOVED it, so so good!! And Half A Soul also was a very sweet and cozy read this year... 🙂 Hope you have a lovely rest of the weekend!
Tress of the Emerald Sea is one of my fav books of all time 🥹 I wasn’t very into it in the first chapters but when the plot was fully established and the story picked up I couldn’t think of anything other then the story and the characters and I just wanted to go home and get to keep reading - I hadn’t really felt that excitement for reading, like I felt when I was a little girl, in so so long! The only thing that would stop me from living in the book’s universe is that I don’t think I can live somewhere that doesn’t actually have an ocean, or one you can’t swim in
Oh wowwww!!!! That makes me super excited for when I read Tress🥹😍 isn’t it so special when you just don’t want to put a book down?! And I definitely agree - I don’t think I could live somewhere where the sea is toxic😳
PLEASE everyone read The Winter Promise quartet. It’s been translated from French and really took me into another world. I haven’t read such a consistently good book series in a very very long time 🥹
Thanks for a cozy video ❤ I couldn’t help noticing that you are using tabs in some books. Have you ever made a video about how you tab or annotate when you’re reading? I’d love to know your thought process on that.
I have been wanting to see the inside of the Garlic the Vampire graphic novels, so I appreciate you sharing a few of the pages with us! Thanks so much for taking the time to share this list with us! I did read Tress of the Emerald Sea a few months ago and it was enjoyable! It is like a reverse Princess Bride! By Ash, Oak, and Thorn I read last year and was a bit disappointed. It didn't reel me in as I had hoped it would. Thanks again!!!
Ohh thank you so much for your sweet comment and for enjoying the video!🥹🤎 I hope I enjoy Tress just as much hehe and I’m sorry you weren’t able to fully enjoy By Ash Oak and Thorn but completely understand!!🥺 it’s so interesting how we can all have different experiences of the same book>
Just wanted to share that I was excited about “The Teller of Small Fortunes” as well, but it did not satisfy what I love about cozy fantasies. I actually stopped reading it after 150 pages because the author focuses on racism against the main character consistently, the descriptions were lacking (food is often unappetizing and the accommodations were not comfortable), and the characters were not fleshed out enough so you really care about them. You may have a different experience, but I thought I would let you know because we seem to have similar reading tastes (I’ve actually read most of the books you mentioned in this video and enjoyed them as well). For recommendations, I would say “What You Are Looking For Is In The Library” and “Welcome To The Hyunam-Dong Bookshop.”
No this book was truly the peak of cosy fantasy and found family it gave such warm fuzzy feelings. it was a wonderful story it is a shame you stopped due to ignorance.

I haven't read any yet but is the spell shop one because I'm going to read that soon. May you make a video on British middle grade books that aren't fantasy? Thank you

Thank you, will check out a few of this new genre to me. Have you read The Stationary Shop of Tehran? I loved it, not a cozy read but a love story that left me in tears. If you read it what were your thoughts? If not, I hope you do. Love your channel. 🌸🩷
Awww thank you so much!! I actually haven’t read it before although I’ve seen it around in bookshops a lot! You’ve made me want to check it out properly so thank you for the recommendation🥺🤎
sorry this is my second comment but I thought I’d recommend “The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus” by L. Frank Baum (the author of the wizard of Oz!!!) because it’s one of my favorite books ever, and it’s very very cozy and not cliche and quite Cottagecore, maybe? Since it’s December soon, I thought it would be a good recommendation 🩵 love love your videos so much, they’re like a refuge to me!
Awww thank you so much for your lovely comments🥹 I’ve never heard of that book before😱 but the way you’ve described it blows my mind and I’m definitely going to have to check it out!! Thank you so much for your lovely recommendation and for enjoying my videos😭🤎🐻
