Sweet little heli!Brian's got something else to fly inthe kitchen!! Just got my FMS 800mm P51 delivered a few minutes ago. Can't wait to get flaps installed and the Avian 30amp ESC. She's gonna fly so friggn slow. 👍
I started my entire rc journey with Blade micro helis. This is essentially a newer Msr. Even if you fly 3d these are fun especially outside in a medium wind. Great flight Megan. Brian, your heli skillz are very good. Micros indoors are technical and scale due to all of the landing spots. I hope to see you flying a 700 anything one day Brian!
I have technically flown a 700 ;) But it was VERY short lived, as I didn't want to kill Rick's M7 (He's one of the best Heli pilot's in the world - no exaggeration, and he let me fly it - I was more than a little nervous.)
Awesome Video Brian, sitting at my flying field, learning to fly my 360 Evolution. Took a break a bang..there you are. Got the Evolution after see your vid on it. Thanks again for your progression of the hobby. Go Hawks! Ed.
All of sudden XK 20th Century tech. Helicopters are way more appealing @ least there's one brushless motor w/o the bs of smart proprietary batteries . I almost liked this one , too . Good show as always & TY for all the efforts .
3:18 OOH! I like the stick in the middle idea. Will help those of us trying to learn the idea of fixed head speed and up and down pitch. Tough for me to adjust to the stick in the middle, and having that fixed head speed. 4:00 Oh MAAANNNN!! Bummer.. no bind-y to NX-y. :( Can we cram that nice 210 Mah battery in there like we do with our nano s-3's? AH! I see we can. Nice.. 38:09, you mean "Point one-five" not "One point Five" Carful! looks super cool. Next I hope they make on that looks like the 360! Red white n blue canopy and tail fin would look so cool! 48:15 Good job! the Real Flight option is great addition for the new commers. as usual, excellent video guys.
Hey Brian, just interjecting about self leveling on big helis . Most flybarless controllers have a self leveling and a rescue option. So when you usually pull a momentary switch the heli will level out and punch up in altitude. It's a pretty awesome training setup or just in case . Thank you for the video Brian and Camera crew!
Regardless of what Trolls Say,,The Horizion 1 cell Batteries are much longer life than Amazon,. Ive Been thru Many many knock offs in my nano Helis. Dang Love that Pond an Nature walks. Yall Living the Dream Old Man In Alabama usa
Great video, but I do want to add that CG is a major deal for rc heli as well. The way you held the heli, but turn sideways, the tail should hold pararell. If not, adjust the battery forward or backwards to level. Weight stays central around the main shaft, FBL unit doesn't have to work hard to keep heli level... And... (Example) - Rotating manouvers or pirouette could cause a wobble. 🙂
Hey there Brian I’ve been watching you for a while now and I wonder if you ever got your (107)if you have done a video bout it can I get a link I have to say I think you are a great pilot and very knowledgeable thanks I think it’s way too far to make kids have a pilot license
To clarify for my sake, can this heli bind to a 2nd gen Spektrum radio (DX9?)? So many times Horizon makes RTF models that won't bind to anything else but the included radio model. If it does bind, I am guessing that it uses DSMX... On the Mac question, since the app was developed to only run on i386 Intel hardware under the Windows platform, the only way to get RealFlight to work on a Mac is to use an Intel based Mac (no Apple Silicone such as M1, M2, M3) and make it dual boot (Bootcamp) OR use a virtual machine app called Parallels. VMWare fusion (another Mac VM app but it is now free for personal use) doesn't work with the WS2000 USB dongle (but may work with the radio you used in this video). For the best performance and GPU compatibility, dual booting into Windows using Bootcamp is best. Keep in mind that whatever you use to run RealFlight (actual Windows hardware or Mac hardware with Bootcamp OR Mac hardware with Parallels), a dedicated GPU is a necessity. For your videos, it is amazing that you can do them with a limited number of takes, that requires a lot of natural talent to do. It also cuts down on the post editing time as well. Good job Brian!!
Thinking of getting the habo sts. Have flown trainers and a few lowwings years ago like the 4 star 40. Would the habo ss 50mm be better. Does itfly similar to the sts or alot faster. Thanks ps haven't flown in several years other than a paramotor I am just starting with
If you can already FLY...just wanting to get your feet wet again, I'd hit the 50mm HABU, then you can "outgrow" it quicker and then move into more advanced stuff QUICKER...but if you WANT an "everyday flier" to play with, the 70mm STS will be fine. If you WANT a HABU, and you don't care about the "Trainer" aspect predominately, just skip to the SS (the yellow and white one...4S and 6S capable...you will be wasting loads of cash on all the "middle steps" otherwise...something Horizon Hobby would be very happy to help you with - LOL - but all joking aside...you have to set the stage for WHAT YOU NEED...not just pay for every dinky step, unless money is not an object - make sense? I hope it does. The Habu is a TRAINER first, but a lot of guys use it as an EVERYDAY Flier - I wouldn't. bprc.me/Habu ...keep in mind, the HABU from "yesteryear" was a FAST, and F4 like creation...now it's like a slow, easy to fly plane that makes up for any "ugliness" with "flyability" and they are REALLY flyable...you could REALLY learn to fly on this EDF, but I still wouldn't say that's the BEST option with so many amazing prop planes for even easier starting point.
Yeah, now that you can have 14 channels, SURE, but if you want "Long Run" just get an NX10 or NX8, minimum. The NX7e is a STOP GAP, BUT it's NOT "good money after bad" like it may have been at just 7 channels...just my 2 cents
They need to update the nano with brushless motors, most beginners can fly the nano in safe. This is very basic and you won't learn much from this going to another helicopter will be a BIG leap. This is more for kids or you could just go to a toy shop and buy one...same thing.
I rather love helicopter that looks like a real helicopter, no real helicopter has such hulls. Eksler cost gard the helicopter but it costs several thousand kroner and is unattainable for me, but many of them for about 69 to 100 dollars it will be for about under kroner 1000,- NOK in Norwegian money, but can't find anyone who sells them as a police helicopter and several Bell helicopters. :-)
I too have the same feelins about "Pot and Boom" heli's, BUT given the advancements in the last 5 years in HELI Replicas - if you don't already have what you want - you know the saying "just wait longer" ;) Since they are pumping these scale heli's out like CRAZY now, and we will cover them ASAP when we can get our hands on them.... YES, the heli with scale police livery will be on the agenda ASAP!!!!! I want lights and all that stuff, like YESTERDAY... BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, whatever gets people flying - we want that too. Skills are non-negotiable, so I'll always give a pot and boom that's "cheap and effective" - now it's on the consumers to decide it they're "cheap" and "effective" enough ;) Thanks
Yes! I believe this Blade Revo is replacing some of the other smaller Blade helis (like the 70 S) that they can't get components for anymore. For what it's worth, this Revo 90 is our sons favorite heli right now. Definitely check it out! bprc.me/Revolution90
It varies a lot, my oldest son says it can run from 2-10 minutes depending on how you fly it, but more on WHAT battery you pick. We linked to a 210mAh pack, which would help a lot, but then it's heavier too...so there's always a tradeoff.
Absolutely!!! My kids are always screwing with the cats - and they DO get the heli's once in a while! Anyway, those bird killers need to be punished from time to time - LOL ;) We love our animals, but they are very real predators, and LOVE to be harassed (We think - LOL ;)

@@oldmandoingstuff8997 this is true 👍 I didn't say that one of better over the other. I'm surprised that this appears to be a rebranding.
On nitro helicopters you use throttle hold and throttle cut .
Right, This SLT6LP just labels the switch Throttle CUT, since it's also used for planes ;) Figured that out after filming - Opps ;)
Just wanted to give you a update Steve. My P51 miss helen is in Vancouver waiting for Canada post for pick up. me Happy lol

Any suggestion on a controller? I’m not a hard core heli pilot but the prices of the remotes are pretty high.
Nice video. For me the heli is a little bit to small, I prefer bigger ones.
When Brian opens a video being this subdued, it makes me wonder if camera crew darted him right before filming.
LOL - She got me good for this one - LOL!!!
37:32 Watching the video again. Sheesh, gotta take the canopy off to switch battery on that? hmm. Not a deal breaker, but a bummer.
what is that whole package kit ya got? there are too many links ....
