My friend has severe aspergers and to deal with this he goes out for a walk everyday. During lockdown he was out walking and the police stopped him and because of his aspergers he couldn't give them a reasonable answer as to why he was out of his house. They fined him £50! He's also unemployed.

You could easily have them, first don't push, don't act like fools, you had them, but your actions were foolish. Make a point succinctly, not by acting like fools. Yeah you have rights, the plannedemic, is just that.

John Reidy, the evidence I have seen so far leans towards masks only working if they are the type that are used in hospitals and I presume they are in such high demand that they are prioritised for front line medical staff. Gloves only work if you don’t touch your eyes nose or mouth whilst wearing them so hand washing and hand sanitiser are in themselves enough to remove the virus from your hands, the key is not to touch your face. The exception to this would maybe to wear gloves if you had cuts etc on your hands as this would be an infection route for the virus. What surprises me the most is that the officers are sharing vehicles? I presume this area of Leeds is deemed to be a high risk area in terms of officer safety and the behaviour of the members of the public in the video would suggest that this is correct but a risk assessment of wether the safety outweighs the risk of contracting the disease? There’s no easy answer but the overriding theme of the video, for me, is that the members of the public overreacted to a simple question of do you all live in the same house - why couldn’t they have just answered politely? Bad policing can sometimes be a manifestation of how they are treated by some members of society, decent law abiding citizens would have answered the police. I live in the Hull area and I see everyday that the public are breaking the instructions that the government have issued and it really winds me up.

To a point, but they're always going to be pushing to manufacture crime. If you are more relaxed then it can take a few hours. I've done both, got £1000 quid for the unlawful imprisonment, that was being aggressive back when surrounded by 7 of them, one of their favourite tricks. And then one thrown out, again 7 of them, thrown out for lack of evidence, currently chasing that one up. The police know that the young men are angry, and they're trained to bring in 'customers'. So, yeah always good to be more mature and relaxed, but in case you didn't notice the country is in the toilet thanks to the bankers lackies in control. So if you're going to blame anyone, blame the 'leaders'.

According to the coronavirus act and the guidance issued by the college of policing, they do NOT have the power of 'stop and account' as some people seem to think they do.. so unless the police had proof that parties present did not live there, they should of kept driving (unless something happened off camera to make them stop). Additionally, the police are also 'supposed' to practice social distancing, there was no 'essential operational reason' for them to be standing so close together (other than as comfort blankets for each other), no lawful reason to enter the grounds of the property and they broke their own procedures regarding sanitary practices and PPE.. So in short, as the police had no evidence that any party did not live at that address (and you are under no obligation to provide the police any information) it was the police who were creating a gathering and committing an offence.
Little miss stampy foot does need a complaint in against her... (i know what the result will be.. but if people don't complain, they will just claim they are doing a good job)... HOWEVER.. Marti, please don't start playing up for the camera for 'more exciting videos', it is counter productive.. calm, polite (even if they don't deserve it) and factual are the way to go, don't give them any opening for their retaliation to be covered up as 'justified'...
If you have nothing to hide why not answer the questions they have though? Obviously don’t all live at that address.. should all be fined. They might try and infer 'guilt' but in this country we are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and by a jury of our peers. Taking your point into account about not having to answer to the police - he also doesn't have to stand there like an illiterate idiot (in front of an innocent child I might add) shouting and swearing at the police. He could've simply walked away and left it, but he didn't he got aggressive.
A fine doesn't enforce infection control my love it simply acts as a deterrent for those not following the Covid19 government regulations in order to slow the spread of Covid19 so the NHS aren't overwhelmed.
The police work together (in the same car whilst at work so impossible to be 2meters apart) and are key workers so there is little they can do to protect themselves other than wear PPE and perhaps they are yet to receive it as I can't imagine them wanting to go out risking their health further by not wearing it. And I agree with you that they should've been 2 meters apart from Marti however if Marti would've gone inside in the first instance this wouldn't have escalated to where they were all within 2 meters (and if he was that bothered about being close to them he could've stepped back himself but chose not to.)
My point is why be in the same garden or house as anyone if you don't all live together?

It's putting his and his families life at risk which certainly isn't fair on the little ones who live there and haven't had a say in the matter.
We should all be working together to fight this off and trying to protect health care workers and other key workers as much as possible because let me tell you my mum is terrified as an older lady who before all this was a children's health visitor but due to her nurse training now has no choice other than to go back to doing community nursing care to help because the NHS is being stretched. It's made me think about all the people putting their lives at risk to save others. The small minority of people not adhering to the government regulations are irresponsible and out of order be it Marti for mixing with people who do not live in the same household as him or the police for not wearing PPE if they've been provided with it 😊 hope that helped you

Jamo Cuz I would have thought that was obvious, they were flouting the COVID-19 restrictions which are in place to ensure our NHS can cope. I am thankful for the NHS staff who treated me when I contracted COVID-19 and pneumonia - however, this may not be available if too many people need hospital treatment at the same time - our health system is at breaking point, medical staff are working long shifts to cope with demand.

The fact is even if the regulations said you couldn't sit in your own garden, the police have no right to enter a private premises for a summary offence. When they entered the garden, they were trespassing. What was it about the covid regulations that gave them the impression that they think that it extended their police powers and took away the publics legal rights.

One cannot help but to be astonished that those poor young coppers were so unprepared and untrained that they completely lost control of the situation that they created, I have experienced that sort of ineptitude myself on more than one occasion and I would have thought that by now they would have had some better training. He didn't instigate it. The cops instigated it by driving up and asking whether they all lived there. They had no right to ask such a question without first suspecting wrongdoing. Simply being in a garden is not sufficient reason for suspicion.
