Another stat that may have been good to track was ammo to DPS ratio, so we know which guns are least resource intensive.

Fun thing is that you can juggle several rifles to speed up the firing. It still has a little delay, but is much faster.

the one situation in which the rifle really shines is when played by a frogman sec officer. Spec Ops gives a full DOUBLE damage for the first shot on a full-health target, meaning a rifle can oftentimes outright kill a given target. Precisely why I always let my friend lead the charge whenever she and I are breaching
Though I know this video is primarily about rifles, don't forget you can dual wield revolvers.
One thing that would've been good to note is the difference between the craft quality levels, still the game tells you about those so not that important ig, Have you done a showcase of the mech suit yet?

Although the rifle is worse then most other weapons , it can load in grenades , specifically explosive and stun grenades
and if a security officer is smart enough they'll use stun grenades to load onto the rifle and use that to first stun then execute their target
not to mention the ammo efficiency, accuracy, talent thats boosts damage
and cheap ammo compared to stuff like the hand cannon
Imo I'd say stun is kinda useless tho, I'd prob use grenades instead since stun costs so much more and you can just outright kill then with a normal grenade, though stun still has some uses like by the books talent or if your friend is say getting swarmed by a bunch of thrashers you can stun them all and pick off the tiger threshers where as using a normal grenade in that situation would also kill your friend

Main rifle problem is same as Handcannon - diffucult to actually hit target in CQB due to bad netcode.
server host here ive had this issue aswell, im not even sure its the netcode i think the hit detection itself might just be shit.
@@quantum5661 it's def desyc due to netcode. Was in a game being streamed and watching some combat back, id have shots go off in entirely different directions than was on my screen when we're turning in cqb
@@Niylark oh great, then we have 2 separate reasons we cant kill things with guns.
@@Niylark I figured it as a ping issue, I would sometimes make a clean, point blank shot, then like a second later the server decides 'lol nope' and just... reverts the damage.
the rifle has always been my go to for raiding the overtaken outposts.
Could you make a video about the different types of coilgun ammunition or comparing the 3 small harpoint guns? Great vid btw, been watching all of your comparisions, they're really useful.
And then you get something like the Heavy Machine Gun.

Considering that you can use rifle grenades on the rifle, that might be the saving grace of this weapon. John C. Garand would be proud...
It's also great for its intended purpose, “long” range shooting and great damage against armored targets. For classes that aren't weapon experts and don't want to sacrifice the toolbelt, it's very good.
Another good thing about the way it's designed is that the dangers of friendly fire are greatly reduced, as there's no bullet spread, recoil doesn't matter and you shoot few methodical shots with great damage. Due to the long range proficiency, you'll also be safer and won't get hurt as much so long as you take advantage of that.
If you're a tactical player and not a spray and pray type, you'll find that the rifle will serve you very well in ruins and hostile outposts.

I love the rifle, especially because you can load stun grenades to make enemies defenceless against bullets. It's pretty overpowered, even if you stun yourself, you usually have better stun resistances than enemies with perks
Really great videos. I managed to loot a mastercrafted rifle early game, and it is my favorite abandoned base cleaner.
Will you make one with the new harpoon gun? Didn't really find a use for it so far, maybe I am missing something.

My only question. For tests can you show how much fuel, ammo, durability, is being used. And it's likely too much effort but then the efficiency of it's ammo to the rates it did. Cause like sure a smg has a high constant dps, with unlimited ammo

I am unlocking the frogman skilltree, but I don't know wether I should keep using rifles and shotguns or if I should use harpoons for the great bonus damage.
The "insta-hit" from conventional weapons make it much easier to aim in an emergency, but the harpoon has a lot of potential damage... any tips on wether I should drop harpoons altogether or use them when appropriate?

i very much prefer the shotgun to be the best.
reason: damage + stun.
also, shotgun is always OP when in close-range combat. therefore, enemies approach you is always a good thing. (they die)
also, i think the hand cannon is greater than rifle also.
not that this will matter too much to anyone but HMG can take down hammerhead and below level threats with relative ease just be careful of going alone as stun locks can kill anyone
If we take it according to tests, it turns out that the grenade launcher has become really useless against the background of the rifle, because the ammunition in total is larger for the rifle and its dimensions are smaller than the grenade launcher itself (developers should think about how to improve it, otherwise it turns out just a useless toy)
The Grenade Launcher has quality buffs
I want to like the hand cannon but it genuinely cannot beat dual wield revolver

Everyone keeps talking about reload hotkey. But I can't find one in control settings. What is that key?
There is no dedicated reload hotkey, you put the ammo in your hotbar and it reloads onto your weapon when you press it.
Why would you ever use those acid grenades
