- Hi everyone, here is the new video of myself brewing coffee at home. This time I have upgrade my espresso machine from Gemilai 3605 to Gemilai 3200D. If compare to price it is more expensive, but it is worth the money, cause 3200D using dual-boiler, so that I could extract coffee and froth milk at the same time. Other than that, 3200D dual-boiler are more consistent compare to 3605. Lastly the forth wand is very strong and it is suitable for friends who would like to take it as your coffee business machine.

What’s your grind size and what beans are you using? I’m using mixed arabica and robusta what’s the ideal dose and grind size do you recommend?
I'm using Brazil cerrado medium dark roast. This grinder I do calibrate, and not sure what size is on yours. As long as the extraction between 25-30 second get the ratio of 1:1.5 should be ok.
Hi! Where did you buy the espresso machine Gemilai 3200D?
Hi, planning to get a 3200D for myself. Is the pre-infusion timing adjustable? I also understand that the water output is by volumetric, you made a ristretto, did you manually stop the extraction or did you set the volumetric to extract only 30ml?
Thanks!
Hi there.
1st, the pre-infusion is non adjustable, it is a default.
2nd, the output isn't volumetric, it is base on timing. So, most of the time u use manual rather than pre set the timing.
For the timing I actually set the:
1cup button to 10seconds including pre-infusion ( for cleaning the shower screen purpose, so I could press it when I preparing coffee grounds to portafilter)
2cup button set to 25/30seconds as my normal extraction.
The manual button for any other purpose like ristretto shot, lungo and etc....
@@richmancoffeeroastery Thanks!
Hi, im using this machine. Im just curious about the pressure. There's a video on yoi tube that the "perfect pull" for 18g beans is with 8-9 pressure, 60ml extract and pull time of not over 25-30 seconds. Cause in tjis video the pressure is way up. Amd the coffee is dripping at first and took a longer time than usual for a im guessing a 30ml pull. I've yet to train myself on experts and only been studying through youtube. Can you recomend an extractio technique woth this machine and on Arabica Dark roast beans? My grind size is always at no. 1 aswell. Cause when im using grind size 2, its dripping way to fasy like 16 second. For 60ml espresso pull. I hope you can help me. Haha. Sorry for the long comment . I really wanna learn these things. Thanks
Hi, the ratio depends on the beans you use. Usually written at the beans bag.
This machine don't have OPV or the bar is unable to pre set it.
Thus, just skip the bar and make sure the time and ratio are inline.
what’s the temperature of the water coming out of the group head?

Hi Sir, may i know if direct on convenience outlet ka nakasaksak? Or do you use a normal extension cord? Thank you! :)
Hi! How did you set timing for your single and double cup setting? 😊
Long press on the button and release at your prefer timing.
Only got water one cup and two cups can set ya.
hello, typically how much coffee grounds do you use on single and double shot baskets?
Hi. Always 20grams if grounds and always in double shot basket.
Never really use double shot basket, but if do, I will out it in 10grams.
@@richmancoffeeroastery and how much brew time and yield on your 20grams?
@@richmancoffeeroastery do you use the preset timings or always manual button? if im programming the double shot button to 25-30secs, sometimes it only gives me 15-20secs brew time
It is like volumetric. Base on time and the amount of water used.
I seldom use the function, I just set it s long as possible or use the manual one.
For the single cup one set 5seconds for flush before brew.haha.
Unless every shot is same beans, same amount of ground, same tamping pressure. If in that case can use the set up function.
hi, are you using the stock shower basket? i'm having a problem on the extraction....no crema at all
Using the basket come together with machine, so far no any issue. Maybe could try change another beans?
@@richmancoffeeroastery im using arabica dark roast... what can you recommend?
How long do you extract? The ratio for beans and yield? How many pressure?
@@richmancoffeeroastery usually 18-25 secs didnt measure the yield, usually for single shot 10g and for double 18g
If the ground to yield is at the ratio of 1:2 should be ok. Need to measure.
Hi. I have s problem. During extraction the water is dripping so fast. Even i had it newly grind and fine. Can you help me with my problem?
It depends on what is your coffee beans roast level, freshness and grind size. Ofcourse also depends on your distribution and tamping.
Before anything, may I know what grinder are you using and what roast level of your coffee beans and which country?
I have a breville smart grinder pro. Im using a arabica medium dark roast. Im from philippines btw.
Do you tamp them? Ratio of 1:2 take how many seconds to extract?
Yes i tamp it. Ratio of 1:2 only takes 15 second including pre infusion. Without pre infusion i might takes only 12 to 13 seconds. Using 18grams
@@joshuacastanares3763 you can either go finer or add dosage to 19grams

Hi. 20g in how many espresso out ?
I'm doing ristretto, so is 20grams in and 30ml out as double Ristretto.
If doing espresso, usually I do 20grams in and 40ml out as double espresso.
@@richmancoffeeroastery thank you. Hopefully will see a lot of 3200d videos on your channel
You own one of this? You could leave any question here, maybe could come out with some video related to your question. Thanks.
