- ECO Game version 10 (v10) has brought the biggest game updates yet, but what's happening on the servers? How are multiple ECO Town Governments and global currencies working? I remember the early betas of version 10 removing the auto run from the menu. It seems they added it back. Good, that quickly became a necessity for me previously when we could run across the oceans, and I imagine with boats (slower) it would be even more so
Dadspeed is 1 week behind progress than our server and the infrastructure really shows. Our road network is less planned and built, you can see how dadspeed really takes things slow to do them right!

I have a question since I’m late to the party. Is there only one dadspeed server?
I experienced once playing eco I went into a server that had prebuilt roads going in a straight line across the globe, not built by the community. I didn’t like it cause I wanted to see an empty world with nothing and have us as thr players build everything. does dadspeed server prebuild roads etc, or is the earth pure and natural at the beginning of day 0?
@thundernorse1098 There is usually only 1 DadSpeed server running ECO at a time, though there are some occasional spin-ups of other multi-player games like Space Engineers. Nothing is pre-built in ECO. Admins never spawn items and everything is created by the players. There are server rules that people are mostly 'on their honor' to follow to create a robust and long term economy. Most people that have experienced the good trading of DadSpeed for a season get why the rules are in place, and happily follow. Hope that helps! :)
Also, DadSpeed is a very long server, so folks can join a couple months or more into a playthrough and be as equally productive as others - server rules again help new folks joining any time.
@@Oearth thats so cool, how many days does dadspeed last before reset?
@thundernorse1098 We typically run 5-6 months...sometimes more, or until there is a 'major' game update that breaks the compatibility. It can also be when the developers introduce really big new features. With the latter, DadSpeed waits just a bit to let most of the hotfixes and bugs shake out before taking down the server and starting a new season.
