- This ECO game has had a 5-Month Server Run and is still going strong with Economics, Player Interaction, Government Programs, Massive Builds, and of course, it's share of Problems along the way. We take a look at the ECO gameplay on this server, see what's it's like before and after, talk about what has made it successful, the challenges ahead, what's it's like to be in government setting contracts and laws, general state of the ECO game, and see if this ECO game has stood up to the test of time. The skills, professions, specialties, and how many players are still involved is still active and staggers the mind in what been accomplished...and so mush seems yet to come!

Even in a game about minimizing ecological impact the government still fucks over renewable energy for the sake of big oil.
It would be nice that after you destroy the meteor you can advance to a new age like; new tier blocks and technology, combat virus diseases or an earthquake and send help to the region that got hit so people still have goals to play further.
Great idea for the devs!
or as i said in another comment, we could also divide what we already have into a few age, each age being unlock after the resolution of a cataclysme, i also think the last one shouldn't be the meteor, but rather a game over one, even if you fail all the other, succeed this one and you win

they should add a new cataclysm event after the first one, something like that
The devs are working on some other recurring natural disasters that may occur more randomly over time, and the citizens will have to deal with them and overcome. :)

@@Oearth this is really nice, but to be honest the thing that hate the most about this game is that there's always a small group of people grinding knewing the meta game and finishing the game in 3 days and of course not collaboring with anyone... it would be nice to use minor cataclysme as an event that unlock new research and splitting the progress of the game in 3 to 5 era, society would start to build itself in the lower era, the downside of this would be the time consomption to update every construction, but it could easilly be fixed by improving the construction system
The platform is probably a tree planting area to absorb the CO2.
We do have a couple of government run tree farms that use laws to limit how much you can chop down based on %grown. They're basically CO2 scrubbers that double as resource gathering points.
May you do a bridge design video because I want to build nice bridges instead of floating roads
I think the big building is going to be a power plant :P Unless you have announced it already.
Indeed! The towers surrounding the Waste Island building were going to be power generators, AND, and also provide access to an underground transit system.

Absolutely! We can can give back your claims according to however many skills you had when you left, and give you the standard starter funds to get going again. Your original land "might" even still be there - we'd have to check.

@SmashDash06 Season 5 is currently still rolling though a bit slow, and there are discussions about starting a new Season 6. I don't have any hard dates on exactly when that is yet, but I'll 100% be covering the opening of it in a video! Some ECO giveaways will also likely ensue. ;-)
Is anyone from Australia in your server? I wonder only because I don’t want to buy the game and have bad connection/not be online when the rest of the server is
Not too sure, but there's definitely a EU contingent. I will say that there is "always" someone on whenever I log - that might be 11:00 p.m., 1:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., or 3:00 p.m. I'll also say that there are servers all over the world, DadSpeed is great, but I've played on other decent ones. In the games main menu, you can see when the server instance was initiated, how many total ppl have logged on, ping rate, and how many ppl are currently playing at that moment, and other data - so that data can give you an idea about how the activity might look from Australia when your able to log on. One possible warning is that most new servers often get a flood of a player activity for about a week, then can quickly die off, so a server that's been up a while and still shows good steady participation is a good sign.
