    Lyrics from what I can tell;
    Some say freedom is free,
    but I tend to disagree
    I say freedom is won,
through the barrel of a gun
    Had a brother in Iraq,
    he didn't come back
    I ask why oh why,
    do soldiers gotta die
    Some say freedom is free,
    but I tend to disagree
    I say freedom is won,
through the blood of someone's son
    Some say freedom is free,
    but I tend to disagree
    I say freedom is won,
through the barrel of a gun
    Daddy died in Vietnam,
he was killed at Khe Sanh
    I ask why oh why,
    do soldiers gotta die
If anyone knows full lyrics, please comment and I will update accordingly. Thank you!
I would like to thank all service men, in and out of the service. You are what allows us to be free.

My brothers best friend whom i would also hang out with a lot (i was pretty young) Left for the marines right after he graduated high school, and i had never looked up to anyone more than him. He had a great life at home, a beautiful fiancé, nice truck, but he loved this country more than anything and he wanted to serve. 2 weeks before his tour was over, he was shot and killed by an enemy sniper. The whole town closed down the roads for his funeral, and every year to this day people head out to a little spot by the road on the day he passed to put a little american flag in the ground.

Dr. Hughie L Mungus M.D. Hey, it's because of men and women who have the courage to pick up a gun, put on a vest and prepare to make the ultimate sacrifice. That people like you and me are free, so in honor of that courageous man, I give a salute. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My favorite version of this cadence will always be when I was in reception and Drill Sergeant Percy called this. You could tell he was reliving memories from when he was overseas as a 13F. It was so emotional and I will always remember that

That movie wasn't easy to watch because the hard realities of these things aren't easy themselves. The way this movie projected the truth of things warmed my heart. I see veterans and every single one I see I thank them for their service. I will serve in the military myself and I will try helping these veterans in need with the knowledge of what they go through and truly knowing what it's like to be in their shoes.

CoolBroAFB why would you serve because you want to know what it feels like to be in their shoes. You should want to serve for your country and to keep America free. Nobody should want to go through what Shumann and his unit went through

Sam no I want to serve for my love of this country, but also for the sake of helping others with my knowledge. It's not because I want to hurt, instead I want to help others go through it by truly knowing instead of have an office lady who probably knows how to do her job but can't really tell if they are honest or not or to be able to fully understand their feelings. It's a sacrifice I am willing to take for the ones who helped keep America free.

Fuck that movie was hard to watch. I've never served but I still support our military and whenever I see a man (or woman) in uniform I shake their hand and thank them. I also do the same when I see a Vet. I can tell that it makes their day when someone as young as me (19) shows them respect. The one I hold in the Highest of honor is a WW2 vet I met back in April. Sergeant Major Robert Blatnik, United States Army. He served in Sicily, North Africa, and stormed the beach at Normandy.

I wrote this for the tone:
    They say freedom is gone,
No more place left to run.
They say it’s a gentle rope,
The one which hold and choke.
    Some say freedom is lost,
Through the ash, and through the dust.
Some say it’s a graveyard soul,
The one which haunts and howl.
    You say freedom is far,
    Farther than a gleaming star
You say freedom is a hope,
    A leader’s boosting quote.
I see freedom as a choice,
    More than a whispered voice.
I hail him as my friend,
    From now till the end.

Every soldier that comes back did not come back unscratched. They may be tough as hell it's self, but they also cried tears for there fellow soldiers. They served there country and no one should ever ask more of them. Every single man and women out there is fighting for our freedom. Our rights. And anyone that tells them they want more from them. I want them to be on the front lines and telling me that. There is ALWAYS a price to pay for war. And I just wish more people on Earth can get along so our loved ones do not have to die and they can come back home to there families. Freedom is not free. Never is and never will be.

God bless & love these People who simply wish to stand guard for us & all who pray for the protection & love of our country & the hard won freedom we have been blessed to win & must defend always, every single day. Our ancestors fought this fight for us , & their sacrifices must never be forgotten! Blessings to all on Memorial Day, & always! We may not "know" you, but you all mean more than can be ever expressed!!!!

    Freedom Cadence by Bruce Springsteen
    Released : 2017
Some say freedom is free, but I tend to disagree
I say freedom is won through the barrel of a gun
Had a brother in Iraq, he didn’t come back
I ask why oh why do soldiers gotta die
Some say freedom is free, but I tend to disagree
I say freedom is won through the blood of someone’s son
Some say freedom is free, but I tend to disagree
I say freedom is won through the barrel of a gun
Daddy died in Vietnam, he was killed at Khe Sahn
I ask why oh why do soldiers gotta die
Some say freedom is free, but I tend to disagree
I say freedom is won through the blood of someone’s son
Some say freedom is free, but I tend to disagree
I say freedom is won through the barrel of a gun

They kneel for the injustice of people not for the flag. The flag has nothing to do with the kneeling of the players. If everyone is free why are so many people getting killed and no charges are bought against them and I am a veteran SCOUTS OUT

Most soldier believe they are fighting for the rights and justice of those who can't fight back. Do some soul searching and decide if this includes US citizens who are unarmed.
