Hi! Where would I go in Berlin (not Kudamm) to find alternative berlin fashion (not used) at a reasonable price. Any recommendations ? :-) are any places to ba avoided by tourists when dark ? Danke :)
I've been here 7 years so far. This is the first Berlin itinerary I've seen posted online that I actually agree with! You covered most of the same spots I suggest to friends when they come to visit (and more!), gut gemacht 😊
I work in turism between Friedrichshain and Mitte, and suggesting this video to turists from now on will save me hundreds of hours of answering the same questions. I couldn't be more grateful ❤
I was solo traveling in Berlin for the first time for 5 nights in September. I was amazed at how huge the city is and there’s like 10 things to do in a day. 5 nights weren’t enough. Every moment was so happening. On the 3rd day I was actually so overwhelmed that I broke down and cried at Alexanderplatz. But I don’t regret a thing. I will visit again in December for the Christmas markets. God I loved this city. So full of life and energy!
This is the most comprehensive and orginal guide on Berlin that I have watched. I have added many of your tips to my itinerary. Well done on the video.👍
I've been to Berlin 6 times and have visited almost all these places, but one that I haven't visited is the underground tour. I'll be back next May and will certainly go see it. As always, another great video!
I am the daughter of a holocaust survivor and I ADORE BERLIN, I made so many new friends, went everywhere and yes I mean everywhere, I laughed, I danced with so many lovely people and their zoo is amazing. If you want to go to Europe, I live in USA, you must go to BERLIN!
For me, the main reason to visit Berlin is the history. On my first visit, I concentrated of course on the main sights, the Brandenburg Gate, the tower, Potsdamer Platz, etc... I have already visited the city and its surroundings 20 times and I still find something interesting related to its history. Of course I also tried the night life and it is also unique. Berlin is not the typical German city and if any tourist wants to visit Germany, it is better to head south, Bavaria for example. Your content about berlin is the most interesting because you show places and activities that differ from the usual tourist attractions which every shows.
I'm currently in Berlin for 3 days. Again. 😄 Can confirm that these are good spots. And just the tip of the Berlin Iceburg. This city is HUGE and has so much. ❤🎉
Glad I saw Checkpoint Charlie… back when it really was Checkpoint Charlie. Dug it. Saw the Wall back when it really was the Wall, dug that too, but a little sad. And Potsdam, when the old Royal Palaces were still in the DDR… but the best was lunch at Cecilianhof when… you guessed it… was still part of the DDR. And when I go back to Berlin I will use this video for sure, as a basis point. And really want to capture a Max Raabe concert while I’m at it. Just sayin’.
Vielen Dank.
I am glad and lucky to find your video just before my 5 days trip to Berlin! thank you very much, I liked many other videos in your channel. can't wait now
Nett. Vielleicht sollte ich wegen dir nach Berlin kommen. Ich war nur drei Tage dort und es war eine Geschäftsreise. Ich werde gerne wieder von Ihnen lesen
I'm going to Berlin with my boyfriend for a full week in 10 days and I can't wait, I'm very grateful for this video! I feel you've given us enough places to visit to keep us busy for more than 3 days even, and I'm so glad we can stay an entire week to really explore this amazing city! (Although we might not go to Oeuf as we're French haha). Thank you!!
I’m not German, also I’m not considering moving to Berlin but I watched already 30 videos about it. Why? Because the way you making videos my friend. Love it
Something that helped me was learning the trains/buses and be a bit early. They move consistently on time. Once you learn them (buy a pass) you can go anywhere pretty easily. Stay off the bike paths! lol. You may get ran into.
Ok, very interesting a s.o. BUT what about making vids through the eyes of kids and "old" ppl about Berlin. WHAT can they do and see in Berlin. Think about it. Good work as always 👍😉❣
Personally as somebody who travels to Berlin I like treptower park as there are a lot of interesting historical monuments but also it is very peaceful and scenic 👌🏻
I tried out a few electric bicycles last year and prefer the Isla. The charge on the battery doesn't last as long as on most electric bicycles, but it's lighter, so you don't need to use the battery as much. I thought in Berlin you would need to ride an old cheap bicycle that nobody would want to steal or a foldaway bicycle you can take indoors. I hate broken glass. It's everywhere in Cardiff and I never had a puncture until I moved there and now get on average two or more a year. The only way to combat that is to introduce a mandatory bottle deposit and when smokers in pubs go outside they should be given a plastic beaker to pour their drink into before going outside and kept by the door. A member of staff could be by the door to check on customers going out for a cigarette. Or replace all wine glasses and beer mugs in pubs with reusable plastic ones.
Can you make a similar video about Frankfurt. I know you live in Berlin that's why you make videos about Berlin. But such videos are really fun and informative
I love this video. I lived in Berlin for 10 months last year and I can say I still haven't gone to most of the places you recommended. But yes I experienced the most common ones like the mauer park, museum island, berlin wall, jewish memorial, and the underground tour. Few places that could be added are the checkpoint charlie, the bar/restuarant at "the pregnant oyster" or The Haus der kulturen der Welt" (I loved the vibe of that place sitting along Spree) and also another of my favourite street- Bergmannstraße- I know many Berliners say its a tourist trap but sometimes I want to trapped! Anyways I highly acknowledge your recommendations for eating, I am gonna try it all next summer when I am visiting again this amazing city (ich leibe Berlin)!
Awesome video! All your topics are so well researched. Will be in Berlin again for Thanksgiving!! Can’t wait to escape Miami swamp! Will add breakfast at Wahrhaft Nahrhaft to my ever growing list of places to eat in Berlin. Can’t believe I missed it, I stayed on Rigaer Strasse for 2 months this past summer 😂
This video made me happy that I checked with German people on UA-cam what to do and got most of these things. Sadly I missed Burgermeister because I was only there three days and couldn’t find that original one somehow.
I spent an amazing week in Berlin last summer! I did many of these things. My favorite thing was going to Mauer Park on a Sunday! I’ll definite go back in a couple years. I chose to visit Munich this summer just to try something new, it was lovely.. but Berlin was cooler! 😎 keep the videos coming!
I'm about to visit Berlin and this itinerary looks amazing! Very informative video! Minor suggestion is to list out the names of the restaurants (or google maps links) in the description. It's hard for a non-German speaker to catch some of the names!
I'm living in Berlin this month and my girlfriend is visiting for 3 days so I might mix some of these in with my tentative itinerary! also if you need a guy for a cameo collab in the next few weeks ;)))
@@RadicalLivingah dang bad timing then. I’m here until my flight November 4th! Been learning German and researching loads about the city for some Berlin-centred content :)
i only hate watching these videos because it makes me want to visit berlin even more :( (i can’t because im too poor atm lol) everything else i love n enjoy watching :D
I am adding every palce you mentioned to my google maps. Your video is truly a saver! The teledisco club is my favorite find so far hahaha, a dream party for an introvert. I gotta add also, the restaurant Zum Patzenhofer is permanently closed ;(
I’m at Ziet fur brot now. Thank you for the suggestion. Really good coffee but I need to come here with someone else to share a pastry with me. They are so big!
Now how do you keep such a fancy bike from getting stolen in Berlin? (Loved the tour definitely going to have to check some of those out on my next trip!)
I sent you success energy from across the world , i don't know how to explain it., but you have a good aura. 😊⚘️👍🏼👍🏼 Lo puedo expresar mejor en español 😂😂 que tengas un excelente día. ❤

How do Germans feel about the German Empire or the old Kaiserreich ?

Glad I could help!
@@RadicalLiving you should be paid for the expertise.
It’s pretty impressive how you live there, and still can think in the mind of a tourist

I spent 3 months living abroad in Berlin last year and I hit a lot of these spots! Definitely my kinda vibe. I cannot wait to go back 🖤🖤

@@RadicalLiving thanks! Berlin is always the best. 😎
Berlin is the cleanest City I've ever been in and I live in Savannah, Georgia which is a clean City as well.
The fact that checkpoint Charlie is not included in here makes this video even better! 😅 Great job!

If there was a poll for a capital of the world I’d cast my vote for Berlin. The capital of having fun at very least
There's a smaller nightclub in Kingsbridge, England, but good effort, Berlin!

I love Berlin ❤🇩🇪🥇
