When Arthur punched DW, that was totally savage. Even though this is a kid show, it’s most likely for any age like for adults & kids.

As long as DW isn't picking on Kate, throwing her food, or doing anything that affects them, she's free to do whatever she wants just because she's a little girl. Another example of them siding with her is "Play it again, DW." In it, DW plays her music really loud. When it interferes with Arthur doing his homework, he's understandably frustrated, and yet, as is the case, the parents act like Arthur is the one acting like a dick for going after their precious angel. And, when the CD is found, they don't make DW apologize or punish her. Face-palm. DW seriously makes Angelica look like the world's sweetest girl.
Keep in Mind that DW touched Arthur’s plane after he told her not to MULTIPLE TIMES!!!

I’m going on 24 soon and I still love this show. I watched it a lot in the early 2000s.
Back when the show was awesome
Buster’s “yeah, Francine gives me a headache sometimes,” will always be the best to me.
That's from the very first episode, "Arthur's Eyes," which was about when Arthur started wearing glasses.
That had a few savage moments, like when Francine made fun of Arthur's glasses, calling him "Four eyes," which made everyone else laugh at him.
Buster tried to defend Arthur, telling Francine that some people have to wear glasses. Yet, later, when everyone is in the lunch room, Buster picks up two drinking glasses, holds them up to his eyes, and says, "Hey, look everybody! I'm Arthur!" Of course, this makes the other kids laugh, and Arthur, understandably, feels embarrassed.
That was pretty savage!

Muffy and DW have always been the most savage characters in the entire show.
Buster is my favorite he is silly, funny and doesn't take many things seriously but when he does he gets SERIOUS and holds his own like a savage
5:22 There's also the episode,"Prove It" where DW was able to get Arthur to not only take her with him and Brain on their trip to the science museum but also actually admit that she IS smart enough to understand and enjoy more complex interests 🤓

What makes number 1 heartwarming is that Arthur knew DW upset Sue Ellen by calling her a "lonely child" so that's why he corrected DW and then threatened to sell her.

When Arthur got mad at DW for throwing his airplane he got very upset,this is very popular television series not only for kids but for adults and families alike.it's also very popular for teens of all ages.
It also showed Arthur getting pissed off and punching DW and the ramifications that comes with fighting. I' lArthur is a is a more patient brother,. uncle, than s man than I am! I. I like kids I I really do (usually dipped in butter. and. cocktail sauce. I have a brother. whos ten years olders than me. His son is. ten years younger. I k8nda. was a middle. child. So I underetand the frustration!
Arthur is a great show,one of the all time greatest television shows.i like kids i always do when it comes to a lot of fights Arthur is more patiece than i am Joey is four years younger than him.he was more patient brother and uncle than me i was the oldest child i understand the frustrations.

I never felt bad when Muffy got her feelings hurt, she stayed trying to roast and clown somebody
Besides DW, I found Muffy to be the least likable of the main characters. All of the primary characters have their own likes, dislikes and fears (like real kids) but Muffy’s entire personality is that her dad is rich and she thinks she’s better than everyone else. She’s not bad, just the least interesting of the main characters

Yeah, I agree with you. Muffy is such a stuck-up snob, it's a wonder that Arthur and the others are still friends with her, especially Francine. How they became best friends is beyond me.
Of course, Francine has many times tried to straighten Muffy out, like in the "Spoiled Rotten" episode, where she finds out that Muffy had bought a new pair of sneakers that she, Francine, had spent weeks saving up enough money to buy. (As if that wasn't bad enough, the shoe store is all sold out on this particular brand of sneakers.)
Muffy: I would give my sneakers to you, but I have a foot fungus.
Francine (shouting angrily): MUFFY CROSSWIRE, YOU'RE THE MOST SELFISH, SPOILED LITTLE BRAT I'VE EVER KNOWN!!!
Probably because both Muffy and Francine are mean and rude

I like the one from Sue Ellen Vegges Out where Muffy asks the burger shop lady what doesn’t have meat in it and gets served a pickle with mustard!
Actually, it was a "Chicken Lickin' " stand. You must have it confused with a later scene, where Muffy tries to tempt Francine with a hamburger, or "Bobbsy Burger," as it's called. (The two of them try to see which can be one of Sue Ellen's "veggie sisters" the longest.)

I've started watching Arthur only recently and I already love it
The punch episode really struck me as a kid because sure I used to rough house with my brother and sister but I could never hit one of them in anger. Aside from the one time I was 16 and my 26 year old brother did something unforgivable

Growing up with Arthur and looking at the scenes after it ended back in February this year, I just like how D.W acts to everyone, especially with the one episode where she has been rude with everyone and misbehaving ((D.W's very bad mood)
And some people liked her being sassy while others really don’t like her and how parents hardly did anything much

The episodes Bleep (in which DW swears), and Arthur's Big Hit (in which Arthur physically assaults DW) are in my opinion, Arthur's darkest episodes. I wouldn't be surprised if both provoked a lot of backlash and controversy.

I think a meta power move is just the sheer amount of parody content Arthur has, that somehow flies under the radar....like, so MANY iconic pop culture icons (books, films, people) make it into the show. I often saw the Arthur parody long before encountering the source material, growing up lol. The early series episode with the Ratburn siblings eating "screws" made a lot more sense after getting aquainted with the Addams Family ;) And, as a musical fan, DW as "The Phantom of the Supermarket" in that episode where she gets lost in the mall is hysterical in hindsight
They referenced popular kids books at the time, like Harry Potter (Henry Screever, I think), Series of Unfortunate Events, Goosebumps. That is such a beyond awesome idea to help encourage reading. I got those references when I was a kid, getting excited about books was reflected back to me, and fed that excitment.

I’d say the most savage moment was in DW’s Very Bad Mood.
Season 2 had quite a bit of savage moments. Most of the ones on this list come from it
DW, Muffy, and Francine (especially in the earlier seasons) may be dislikable but they’re very relatable (although all these kids including Arthur have definitely thrown so much shade at each other)

There was this one savage moment where Muffy’s hair stylist from “Francine’s Bad Hair Day” she told Francine “Well we don’t promise miracles not in your price range anyway”. The Hair Stylist was so Shady af 😂😂

Francine gave Muffy a major drag-queen like READ! Surprised this show got away with so many of these sassy comebacks considering how adults and networks are so sensitive about what they kids see and watch regardless of the context.
parents were too busy going after Pokemon and WWF/WWE at the the time. The 90s were wild as far as kid shows pushing the envelope was concerned. Disney at the time was the worst offender....
This TV show is my all-time favorite it has a special place in my heart and it will never go away friends and even family comes and goes but Arthur will always be my DAY 1 NIGGA

On one occasion of PB&J Otter, Jelly had a difficult time with chicken pox. Another time, Peanut had nightmares about the consequences of losing a library book. On another occasion, Flick felt bad about being the youngest to need glasses. And as I recall, all three of those things have happened to Arthur.
